Burr POV
*at the winters ball*

I entered the huge ballroom with The hamilsquad. Don't look at me, herc insists I call them that. They immediately split up and acted like Alexander, in other words, childish fools.

We were at the winters ball annually hosted by the Schuyler household. Phillip Schuyler and I go way back. I've met his daughter, Angelica vaguely but she was NOT taken with me. I wasn't being over dramatic. One day in town I didn't know who she was and went to go hit on her because she had caught my eye. After a few pickup lines Angelica took off her shoes and repeatedly slapped me with them and walked off. Not the best experience but she didn't know my name either so I was hoping she wouldn't remember...

I soon found the middle Schuyler sister and asked her if she would like to dance. She politely said yes and glided to the dance floor. I tried to make friendly conversation but to be frank, Elizabeth was quite boring.

You ask her a question she glances off and ignores it but we keep dancing (...) it was as if she was looking for something or someone.

"So where are you from miss Schuyler?" I tried to make friendly conversation.

"Mhm-" was all she replied with. I looked to where she was looking and saw the eldest daughter. God I hope she won't throw a shoe at me.

She was dancing with Hamilton and they seemed very close. I looked back and Eliza and decided she would never be satisfied with a man she can't even dance with.

I excused myself and went to get a drink. Why are my charms and devilishly handsome face not working? I asked my self.

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see a young girl. To be honest she didn't look that young, just short. Maybe around 20? I took a double take. Her eyes were big round and glistening. Her lips were covered in a layer of red lipstick and her hair was pulled back. All I could think was DAMNNNN. Forget Schuyler's. I want this one.

She smiled sheepishly and said in a soft tone, "Excuse me mister, I need to get to the glasses." She pointed behind me and I realized that I was standing in front of the champagne glasses. I blushed and jumped back.

I fixed myself and took a deep bow. "Aaron burr, at your service." She giggled and snorted then quickly covered her mouth with her hand. "I am so sorry sir, how rude of me" She grimaced and stepped back. I chuckled. She was cute.

"No really, ma'am. It's fine. I like your laugh!" I assured her. She rolled her eyes playfully and then just looked at me. We locked eyes and she quickly looked away biting her lip.

"OH yeah sorry- I mean my bad- shoot I-" she stumbled over her words. I chuckled again.

"Would you like to dance?" I asked and held out my hand. She drugged and took my hand as I led her to the dance floor.

We started to sway and I realized I didn't know this girls name. "I didn't seem to catch your name?" I said politely.

"I didn't throw it" She scrunched you her face and I laughed and threw my head back. She giggled and said, "sorry I've always wanted to say that. My name is margarita Schuyler"

I was baffled. Angelica and Elizabeth had been so proper and nice and neat. This girl was wild and unexpected. She couldn't possibly be a Schuyler. "Schuyler?" I questioned.

"Mhm but you may call me Peggy because Margarita is long and boring." We laughed a bit.

Time skip to the wedding

I searched through the cloud of people at the wedding. Peggy said she would be here but I couldn't find her. Eventually I did find her and we sat down next to Laurens and Elizabeth.

"Yeah I really have never been to a wedding before." We laughed. I looked at her beautiful face. Her cute laugh, her sense of humor. I just wanted to kiss her. We stopped laughing and just looked at eachother.

I realized how close our faces were and I quietly asked her, "do you think it would be okay if I kissed you right now?" She looked taken aback but then smiled. "I don't see why not"

I made the space between us disappear and connected our lips. Peggy kisses back and I felt my face get red. I pulled away before it got too far. We were in a public place after all.

No one had noticed or seen us but rumors only grow and we both know what we know.

Peggy's POV

Both my sisters were otherwise occupied and I was as always alone so I made my way to the booze. Oh come one, I've given up on being a proper lady a long time ago. A girls gotta have fun. I noticed a tall, handsome man standing in front of the cups. I would've flirted but honestly I need a drink.

"Excuse me , SIR, I need to get to the glasses" I tried not to sound too irritated. He blushed which was cute and jumped back. We introduced ourselves and started dancing. We ended up having a lot in common but of course the dance had to end at some point.

About an hour or two later, I was in Angelica's room telling my sisters about the night.

"Oh it was so awesome and he was sooo hot." Eliza laughed and Angelica chuckled.

"That doesn't answer my question though, why did you snort?" Eliza chuckled.

"Shut up-" I tried to keep a strait face. "Angelica, what do you think of Aaron?" I questioned.

"He's very attractive- but be careful. He seems the type to do what it takes to survive." She paused. "Did either of you get a chance to meet Alexander?" She asked dreamily.

I didn't feel like listening to her go on and on about some bastard immigrant so I went to bed.

Time skip

After talking to Aaron for a few minutes at the wedding we just looked at eachother. I could see every perfect imperfection on his smooth dark skin. His eyes were locked with mine.

I didn't expect him to say, "may I kiss you?" But he did. He didn't know this at the time but I had never kissed anyone in my life!! "Yes you may" I smiled.

He closed the space between us and I kissed him. He kissed me back and I was about to pull my arms around his neck but he pulled away. I remembered where we were and quickly faced the alter. 

He grabbed my hand and held it at which I got super excited. I've never met a man who seems to know what he want but is also willing to wait for it. I really like Aaron.

After the vows were said I looked up to Angelica and started crying. She looked so happy. All her life she has sacrificed everything so that the ones she loved could be happy. She deserved this and I was so proud of her.

The Preist called for any objections and I almost laughed. Who would object to such a beautiful couple.

Apparently my own sister and this other man next to her. I saw them making googoo eyes at eachother so obviously this was some sick joke, right??

I slapped their hands down and held Eliza's. I didn't want to let go of Aaron but I had to.

Aaron's POV

After the wedding I went to Alexander's bachelor party. Everyone seemed to leave once I arrived but I could care less. I hated them all. I only came because the woman I am in love with's sister got married to Alexander so.

Him and I made eye contact and he started wiggling his eyebrows. I was confused until he said, "you've got some lipstick on your face" with a smirk.

God I hate him too.

I quickly wiped off my face and sat down next to the newly wed. "Its alright, Burr, did you bring this girl with you tonight?"

I shook my head. "No I'm afraid she lives here" he looked taken aback then angry.

"Angelica-" I laughed and shook my head. "Eliza" he asked more softly.

"Nope" I replied. "Although I did see her making googoo eyes at Laurens" Alex looked confused and then angry and then sad. I didn't have the faintest idea why though.

"So you and Peggy huh?" He questioned looking out into the distance.  I nodded and calmed down.

I almost had a heart attack when Alex spun around and held my collar. "You hurt her, I hurt you" he put me down and laughed a little. I laughed with him though I was sweating.

All I knew was that I was in love with Peggy and I would wait as long as it takes for her to love me back.
