I Remember the Days

I remember the days we would walk in the park together; the sun shining bright

I remember the days we went on long bike rides through the countryside

I remember the days we would dance to the rhythm in that little old bar

I remember the days I was in need an you would lend a helping hand

I remember the days we talked about growing old together and how it made you smile

But those days are now gone

Your kindness; it turned me bitter when you left

My heart longs for balance to be restored once again
