What if Sagarika was forced to marry Duryodhan ?

In these times the consent of a father is more important than that of a mother. Thus Sagarika was supposed to marry Duryodhan.

Nor Maharaj Kshitij nor Maharani Madhavi was happy with it but they were helpless. Arjun felt as if his entire life was snatched out of him.

But the Manohar Krishna was having none of it. So he entered Arjun's room to tell him a plan. Arjun was in denial at first but then gave in to the morbid plan as there was no other way.

It was night time and Duryodhan was hungrily waiting to Sagarika to walk in the wedding podium so she can be his forever.

His wait was over as Sagarika came and sat next to him. She was mentally praying to Narayan to get out of this situation any how.

And looks like Narayan listened as people suddenly started screaming and yelling.

"BANDITS !! DACOITS !!" A man screamed and everyone started running here and there.

There was such a rush that Sagarika didn't knownwhat to do, suddenly a bandit came in front of her and she looked at him shocked.

His face was covered with a cloth, only his eyes were visible. He raised his hand which were carrying a powder sort of thing right in front of her face.

He raised his cloth up to his mouth and blew the powder right on Sagarika's face making her feel dizzy. She became unconscious but before she could fall on the ground the bandit grabbed her, picked her up and took her away on his horse.

Soon the rest of them left and Maharani Madhavi panicked seeing that Sagarika wasn't there.

"WHERE IS SAGARIKA !?!" Madhavi screamed.

"SAGARIKA !?" Duryodhan called.

"YUVRAJ WHAT KIND OF A HUSBAND YOU WERE GOING TO BE THAT YOU COULDN'T SAVE YOUR SOON TO BE WIFE !?!" Madhavi exclaimed.

"I AM SURE THAT WICKED VASUDEV HAS DONE IT !" Duryodhan accused.

"Bhrata Duryodhan, What kind of a man do you think I am !? You think I would pay bandits to kidnap my friend !?" Krishna said offended.

"Then surely its that Arjun !" Duryodhan said.

"But Arjun along with Pandavas left for Indraprasth Mitra." Karn said.

"Don't blame your incompetence on others Yuvraj ! It was your kshatriya duty to protect her !" Kshitij said.

"Maharaj don't waste time on him, find our daughter !" Madhavi said.

"Right away." Maharaj said and left.

Duryodhan groaned in frustration, everything had to happen on his wedding day.

Here the bandit took Sagarika in cave and removes her jewelleries so he could put shackles on her hand and feet. He then goes outside to look out for soldiers but luckily there were none.

Soon Sagarika opened her eyes, feeling a little dizzy. She raised her hand to rub her eyes but then noticed the shackles in them. She looked around and found out that she was in an unknown cave.

"Is anyone there ?" She called. The bandit came inside.

"Where am I ?" Sagarika asked.

"You are in the captivation of Bandits." He said with a stiff voice.

"What's your name ?" Sagarika asked.

"Dhananjay." The bandit said removing the cloth around his face.

Sagarika inspected him from up and down, he seemed familiar for some reason.

"Why have you kidnapped me ?" Sagarika asked.

"To play hide and seek with you." Dhananjay said sarcastically.

"What ?" Sagarika asked.

"To get huge Ransom from your father, the Maharaj, of course." Dhananjay said.

"Remove these shackles." Sagarika said.

"Not at all ! If I removed them and you escape then what about my marriage ?" Dhananjay said.

"What rubbish are you talking !? What is my relation with your wedding !?" Sagarika asked.

"You have full connection to my marriage." Dhananjay said.

"Dhananjay you don't understand, I have to get out of here !" Sagarika said.

"You're not able to understand ! Look at my fate, born in the family of Bandits, no one wants to marry their daughter to me. Secondly my Mamashree, he has put forward the condition." Dhananjay said. Sagarika looked at him confused.

"The girl is beautiful and nice, I also like her a lot. But Mama being Mama put forward a condition that before marriage I have to get Ransom out of you. I swear if it were about shooting the eye of the fish then I would have done it in a jiffy ! But I have to kidnap you, take care of you, Mama has given me another task." Dhananjay said.

"And now if you escape then the condition will be incomplete and I will be incomplete without marriage. Now you tell me does this innocent face deserves so much of torture and pain." Dhananjay said.

"Your words make me feel dizzy." Sagarika said closing her eyes. And soon sleep took over her.

Seeing she was in deep slumber, he came her and saw some cuts on her hand and face. He went out and brought some medicinal paste and started applying on her her wounds.

"I am sorry Sagarika, I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't necessary." Arjun whispered.

《NEXT DAY》

Sagarika woke up with a sound of Dhananjay opening the door of the prison. He smiled seeing her awake.

"Princess, look what I brought for you ? Food. Have it, I have cooked it myself." Dhananjay said keeping the food down on her feet.

"Get some water for me." Sagarika said.

"I'll be back in a jiffy." Dhananjay said going out.

Sagarika knelt down trying to get plate, but her shackles gave her some troubles. After struggling for a while she finally got the plate and started eating, hungry since last night. By then Dhananjay came back with a glass of water and chuckled seeing her eagerly eating the food.

"Hmmmm you seem to be enjoying it. I am an expert cook after all. Relish it." Dhananjay said keeping the glass of water beside her.

"I will be back, princess." Dhananjay said leaving.

"Listen ! Where are you going ?" Sagarika asked.

"Even I want to have food." Dhananjay said.

"Unchain me first !" Sagarika said.

"I would never do that, I do know I look innocent but I am not so naive either ! What if you flee after I unchain you ? I will be unable to face my Mama. Mama won't be able to show his face to the girl's family. And my marriage won't take place." Dhananjay said.

"And there is a belief if we die unmarried then our spirits wander in the sky. I don't want to wander in the sky, I am better off at earth." Dhananjay said making Sagarika cringe.

"You are so desperate to get married." Sagarika said.

"Not just me, everyone is. Listen to me, even you get married." Dhananjay said.

"You captured me from my wedding." Sagarika said.

"Oh dear ! Forgive me I didn't know ! But you don't seem sad here." Dhananjay said.

"No I am not." Sagarika said.

"Then it means you didn't like the man. Don't worry I shall help you with finding a groom." Dhananjay said.

"Well who is your Mama ?" Sagarika asked.

"Humare Mata ka bhai." Dhananjay said.

"I do know what a mama means ! I mean who is he ? What does he do ?" Sagarika asked.

"Do you not know my uncle !? He abducts girls, he holds them captive in the jungle. He seeks huge Ransom from them. Mama is very dangerous." Dhananjay said.

"Shall I tell you something ? Obey every order of Mama if you want to return home, safe and sound." Dhananjay said.

"Well...you are a princess. It must be difficult for you. What do I do ? It is the matter of my marriage. I swear I would have set you free if it wasn't for that. I must tell you although I look tough, I am kind-hearted." Dhananjay said.

"I don't want to talk to you." Sagarika said cringing.

"Shall I call my Mama ?" Dhananjay asked.

"Sure." Sagarika said.

"I will be back in a jiffy." Dhananjay said sprinting out of the room.

Arjun quickly made his way out of the cave saw Bheem rehearsing his lines.

"I am the leader of Bandits, Dacoit Vrikoder.... and you are my prisoner..." Bheem kept rehearsing.

"Bhrata Bheem ! Come its time. Show me your scary face !" Arjun said.

Bheem turned around and showed his evil grin to him. Adjun backed away seeing him.

"How is it ?" Bheem asked.

"Don't scare her too much Bhrata, I won't like it." Arjun said.

"Isn't this the reason why you dragged me from our journey to Indraprasth ?" Bheem asked offended.

"Yeah but not too much." Arjun said.

"Alright I will try." Bheem sighed.

They both made their way inside and found her tapping her foot impatiently. She looks at them and inspects Bheem from up and down.

"Princess, he is my Mama. Talk to point, he doesn't like blabbering." Dhananjay said.

"I am the leader of Bandits, Dacoit Vrikoder !" Vrikoder said.

"Why have you kept me here ?" Sagarika asked. Vrikoder looked at Dhananjay.

"Haven't you told her why have we kept her captive ?" Vrikoder asked.

"I have Mama, princess haven't I told you everything ? You have a very weak memory. Mama I have told her everything." Dhananjay said.

"How much money do you want !?" Sagarika asked. The men looked at each other confused.

"That I didn't tell her Mama." Dhananjay said backing away.

"That...has been...I have informed it to the king. You don't need to worry." Vrikoder said and he and Dhananjay went outside the cave.

"Arjun what trouble have you gotten me into !? I wasn't this terrified even in front of my enemies !" Bheem said.

"Oh Mama....I mean bhrata bheem don't worry. Madhav wouldn't have suggested this if it wasn't necessary." Arjun said.

"How long do we have to keep her here ?" Bheem asked.

"I think we can free her now. Half the day is over any ways." Arjun said.

He went inside the cave and found her sleeping peaceful. He didn't wanted to wake her up so he picked her up and took her out of the cave.

Both he and bheem got on the horses and left. When they reached the palace they found everyone pacing back and forth in the royal garden. Sagarika too woke up and Arjun placed her down.

She quickly ran up to her family who sighed in relief, thanking God. Then their eyes fell on Arjun and Vrikoder and they angrily came towards them with their weapons.

"How dare you kidnapped my daughter !?" Kshitij said.

"Speak before we kill you !" Yuvraj Aditya said.

Krishna quickly came between them.

"Maharaj you cannot kill them." Krishna said.

"Why Vasudev ? They kidnapped my soon to be wife." Duryodhan said.

"Because she no longer can be your soon to be wife." Krishna said.

"What do you mean ?" Duryodhan asked.

"It is the rule of the entire Aryavart, that if a lady spends a night at the home of some other man then she cannot marry." Krishna said.

"Does that mean my daughter will remain unmarried forever ?" Madhavi asked.

"Not if this man marries her. He is her only option." Krishna said pointing at Arjun.

"What !? I am fine with my daughter being single forever but I can't let her marry this bandit !" Kshitij said.

"We are no bandits." Arjun said removing his beard and pagdi. Everyone gasped.

"Rajkumar Arjun !?" Sagarika exclaimed.

"And I an Yuvraj Bheem." Bheem said. Everyone again gasped.

"Why did you do this ?" Sagarika asked.

"So you don't have to marry Bhrata Duryodhan and ruin your life." Arjun said.

"YOU TREACHEROUS CREATURES ! NOTHING CAN STOP ME FROM MARRYING HER !!" Duryodhan roared and took his dagger giving a slight cut on his thumb.

Blood came out of it and he went to fill Sagarika's parting of hair. But Sagarika stopped him by holding his hand.

"I don't want to marry you." Sagarika said.

"Sagarika don't pay a heed to them, you can marry me." Duryodhan said.

"Oh I know, but the problem is I don't want to. None of this would have happened if would have told my decision. But now I will. I will marry Rajkumar Arjun and that's final." Sagarika said pushing Duryodhan's hands away as his blood fell on her feet.

"YOU ALL WILL PAY FOR THIS !" Duryodhan said and stomped away with Karn following him behind.

Maharaj and Maharani too didn't know what to say, but they were happy as Sagarika was going to marry Arjun.

"Sagarika I hope you forgive me." Arjun said and Sagarika chuckled.

"Oh I am so grateful that I won't marry him. You don't worry about it." Sagarika said.
