Farmer Refuted
(So this is just gonna take place at some point in time before the war is over, and Thomas and Madison are in the crowd and get to witness it because FUCK HISTORY Samuel is a butt-hurt little shit and I want those two to see Hamilton tear into his ass. there's gonna be a lot of pov switches cause three diff. views. Underlined is Hamilton when they sing fight, italics show emphasis, and bold is when they sing together.)
Alexander grinned, talking excitedly with Lafayette, Hercules, and Laurens about his ideas for battle plans, Washington and Burr walking behind them and listening. When they bumped into someone. Alexander stopped and moved to apologize, only to notice the large crowd blocking the street.
The group glanced at each other before moving to get a good spot to view what was happening. Upon looking up, Hamilton practically growled with anger; it was one of those shitty protesters. Behind him, Herc, Laf, and Johns all exchanged looks of mischief, while Washington and Burr looked on. He could see the man balancing on a wooden stage so he was within view.
"Here ye, here ye!" The blonde rat called, drawing everyone's attention to him as here cleared his throat, "My name is Samuel Seabury, and I present proceedings of the Continental Congress." The newly dubbed Samuel spoke, unrolling a paper and beginning to read.
"Heed not the rabble-" The revolutionaries all narrowed their eyes at that, and John whispered something into Hercules' ear, making him grin, "-who scream Revolution. They have not your interest at heart." Herc leaned over to Hamilton and muttered just loud enough for the others to hear, "Oh my god, tear this dude apart."
That was all the incentive he needed, as Hamilton began to push himself into the crowd, Burr hastily following him as Samuel continued, Washington staring before chasing after them while the other three stood and watched. "Chaos and bloodshed are not the solution-" Hamilton grinned and muttered a quick, "I crave only bloodshed," Before continuing through the crowd, nearly to the front, "-don't let them lead you astray."
Hamilton smirked as he leaned on the edge of the makeshift stage, falling into his 'I'm a flirt' mask, forcing a blush on and staring at Seabury, who looked down and flushed upon seeing him. He leaned down to pull him up, smiling, "This congress does not speak for me." Burr caught up and clamped a hand onto his shoulder, "Let him be." He growled to Hamilton, before getting removed by Herc, Washington, Lafayette, and Laurens catching up and holding him back as Hamilton took Seabury's hand and climbed on stage.
"They're playing a dangerous game." At Samuel's next verse, Burr pinched his nose with one hand and stared despairingly up at the stage, "Oh my god, he's gonna kill him." When Washington gave him a confused look, he just sighed and shook his head, "You'll see sir." He said before turning and glaring at the others, "This is your fault." He grumbled before turning his attention to the stage, the others following suit.
"I pray the kind shows you his mercy," Seabury sang, smiling at Hamilton, who continued to play the part of the flirt, "For shame, for shaaaame!" Hamilton smirked, immediately snapping out of character and interruption Seabury, who stared at him in shock, "Yo!" Samuel immediately fought back, trying to sing over him, "Heed not the rabble-" "He'd have you all unravel-" "-that scream-" "-at the sound of screams but the revolution-" "-revolution-" "-is coming-" "-they have not-" "-the have nots are gonna win this-" "-at heart!" "-It's hard to listen to you with a straight face," Hamilton smirked as Seabury sputtered in anger.
"Chaos and bloodshed-" "Already haunt us-" "-are not a solution-" "-honestly you shouldn't even talk, and what about Boston?-" "-don't let them lead you astray." "-Look at the cost, n' all that we've lost n' you talk about congress?" "This congress does not speak for me." Hamilton gave a sharp smirk, "My dog speaks more eloquently than thee." Samuel was slowly turning red with anger, "You're playing a dangerous game-" "But strangely your mange is the same!!" Hamilton sung, glaring at Samuel with a grin.
"I pray the king shows you his mercy!" Samuel tried, only to be cut off again, "Is he in Jersey?" Sneered Hamilton. Seabury sputtered with rage and shock, "For shame-" Hamilton threw his fists up into the air, "For the Revolution!!" Samuel covered his ears and tried again, "FOR SHAME!-" The crowd surged with Hamilton, "FOR THE REVOLUTION!!!!!"
Samuel fell down, staring up at him, near tears as he tried to continue to defend himself, "Heed-" Hamilton growled, "If you repeat yourself again I'm gonna-" "-Scream-" Came the choked continuation as Seabury tried to read, only for Hamilton to rip it out of his hands and tear it up, "Look at me please don't read-" Samuel tried to get the rest out, falling into a different key, "Not your interest-" Hamilton snarled, pushing him back down, "Don't modulate the key then not debate with me!" He turned and called to the crowd, "Why should a tiny island across the sea regulate the price of tea?!" The crowd let out cheers of agreement and began to roar with excitement, yelling at each other. Alexander took the lapse in attention to finally slide off the podium, grinning at the others, "So, about those plans..."
(FUCK ME that was a pain. Time to write from Washington's POV(I might need to edit Hamiltons') and then Jefferson and Madison. Also, at this point, I have 926 words.)
Washington stared in annoyance as the man on the stage preached his beliefs to the crowd, then jerked his gaze to his right-hand man, who was glaring at the man on the podium with a burning rage. Suddenly, Hercules leaned down and muttered something into Hamilton's ear, making him grin before he took off into the crowd, Burr following quickly after with a look of desperation on his face.
Washington took a second before remembering how defensive Hamilton was of him, and quickly followed, not noticing the other three trailing behind him as he weaved through the crowd, following Burr's shadow to the stage, where he saw Hamilton-
Washington froze, staring in confusion at the scene in front of him. Instead of trying to climb on stage, Hamilton was just sitting there, a faint blush on his cheeks and a flirty smile on his face as he looked up at the announcer. He watched as the man bent down and offered Hamilton a hand up, and stared as Burr placed a hand on Hamilton's shoulder and shook his head, then three things happened at once; Laurens, Hercules, and Lafayette rushed past him, Burr was tackled by the three, and Hamilton was pulled onto the stage.
Burr leaned back once he was released, gripping the bridge of his nose and staring up at the stage, dispaired, "Oh my god, Hamilton's going to kill him." Washington shot him a confused look, not understanding what he meant. Burr caught his look and sighed, "You'll see in a minute, sir." Washington gave him one final confused look before returning his attention to the stage.
Suddenly, it all made sense, as the moment the man let his gaurd down, Hamilton flipped on a dime, tearing into the protestor without holding back, breaking the poor man down to tears, and turning the peaceful crowd into a riot of revolutionaries. Hamilton slid down, dusted himself off, and then joined them on the ground, smiling brightly, "So, about those plans..."
If Washington had any doubts about Hamilton's loyalty to the Revolution before, he sure as hell didn't now.
(WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i am EXHAUSTED. I'll do Jeffershits POV later.)
