Chapter 5
"Batman! We've got action!" Damian yelled, pulling on his cape.
"North Gotham?" Bruce asked.
"No. The roof."
"The roof?"
"TT. Talons. On the roof. Trying to get in." Damian rolled his eyes. "I already alerted Drake, Gordon and Todd." Just at that moment, Barbara, Tim and Jason all ran down the stairs, pulling on cowls, gauntlets and capes.
"You don't think it's-"
"It's definitely-"
"Dick." All three said, tumbling over each other. "He brought the Talons." Damian pointed at the heat sensor security cameras.
"How the hell are we supposed to stop against hundreds of highly skilled, self-healing, undead assassins?" Jason shot the wall out of anger. Suddenly, a tremor rocked the cave. "Better question, how the hell do we not get killed?"
"If we go down," Barbara grabbed two guns from the wall and spun them in her fingers. "We go down fighting."

As Talon hacked into the security defenses of the now-abandoned batcave, something was gnawing inside him. But he shook the feeling off like a layer of snow. The keyboard beeped an dthe red light turned green. The titanium door slid to the side. It was so quiet in here, you could almost forget that a full out battle was being fought above ground. Almost.

Barbara was shooting Talons left and right, aiming for their heads. Anywhere else they could regenerate around. It seemed like that for every Talon that fell, two more replaced it. Even Bruce had resorted to using a sword, like his son. But with every scratch and bruise each hero was receiving, it was getting harder to deny the truth: They were losing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talon starting attaching different strings of the bomb to the walls of the Batcave. He didn't care that the Talons would be killed. His mission would be a success, and the Court would give him what he wanted. Freedom. Talon set the timer to go off in ten minutes. That was more than enough time to clear the premises and get in on the action.

As Talon ran up the stairs, he saw that his family were losing horribly. This was what he planned. But why wasn't he happy? They were paying for what they did, weren't they? Suddenly, Talon saw a sword raised above Barbara.
"No!" Something inside clicked, and he flew threw the air, kicking over the Talon. He stared around at his family and the damage that he had caused through a completely new light. What was he thinking, obeying the Court?
Talon pulled off his mask and threw it on the floor, stabbing the glass goggles with his daggers.
He was Dick again.
