Chapter 45: The Time It Takes.
"Sebastian, where are you going?" I asked him as he walked away
He stop and turned to me. "I am going to figure out who this couple is, my dear."
I shook my head and trailed along behind him. When we reached the couple we both bowed. The couple removed themselves from each other and turned their attention towards us.
Sebastian raised himself back up and began to speak.
"Good evening, my name is Sebastian Michaelis. I serve as the butler to the young Lord Phantomhive. Is there anything I can get for you while the other guests are arriving?" Sebastian asked.
The couple exchanged glances and looked back at Sebastian and shook their heads, without saying a word.
Sebastian nodded. "May I take your coats?"
They both shook their heads again.
Sebastian looked over at me, so I decided to jump into the 'conversation'.
"May I bring you any refreshments?" I asked.
They shook their heads once more.
Sebastian and I exchanged glances and bowed in unison. As soon as we turned around to walk off, on of them tapped my shoulder lightly.
I turned to see the woman holding a photograph out to me. I slowly took the photo from her hand and immediately recognized the male in the picture, it was Ciel.
I turned to Sebastian and handed him the picture. Sebastian took the photo fro my hand and examined it.
"love, it's the young master."
He turned to the couple. "Do you know this boy?" He asked.
They both nodded their heads frantically.
"How do you know him?" Sebastian asked.
The couple exchanged glances and looked back to Sebastian. The lady laid a hand on her stomach and moved it around in a circular motion.
I quickly turned to Sebastian and back to the couple.
"U-uncle V-vincent? A-aunt Rachael?" I asked.
They both exchanged glances once more and nodded their heads.
I slowly took a few steps back and placed a hand on top of my head, my skin became very chilled at an alarming rate. I took another look at the couple and that's when black bubbles started to dance along my blurred vision.
The last thing I saw was a look of surprise on my Aunt and Uncles face and Sebastian catching me from my fall.
A few moments later I felt light taps on my face. I slowly opened my eyes to Sebastian and the couple.
The couple! My aunt and uncle!
"Are you alright love?" Sebastian asked.
I slowly nodded my head. "Yes, I believe so."
He reached out for my hand, which u happily took, and helped me stand.
When I was on my feet I turned to my aunt and uncle.
"How did this happen? I thought you were..." I paused.
"Gone?"
They both nodded their heads without any use of words.
"And you can not speak either?" I asked.
They nodded once more.
Sebastian turned to me.
"I believe there is something I can do love." He said.
I raised a brow. "In what matter?"
He placed a finger under his chin in thought.
"I do believe I know a way to make then verbal once more. A spell." He stated.
He turned his attention to my relatives.
"Are the two of you alright with this?" He asked.
They stared at each other for a moment and finally nodded their heads.
"Alright then, do follow me. I imagine there is a book of spells in the library." He stated.
We all nodded and followed him down the hall and into the large room containing books on any subject imaginable, such as poetry, fiction, nonfiction, or even fairytales.
When we arrived Sebastian headed for the shelf marked supernatural.
He scanned the shelf for a moment and pulled out a beautiful black leather notebook.
"Aha, here we are. Now, you two take a seat and I will prepare the spell."
They did as told and took their seats in two small black chairs and waited in anticipation as Sebastian gathered his items.
Sebastian collected items that included a single strand of hair from each of them, a raven feather from himself, I have no clue where he pulled that from, a drop of blood from them and one from himself, and a box of matches.
He gathered all of the items together and placed them in a small ceramic dish.
He sat the book down in front of them and began to skim over the pages.
"Now, interlock your hands and close your eyes. Keep them closed until I finish the spell or it will not be completed."
They both nodded, encased their hands together, and closed their eyes.
He lit a match and tossed it into the bowl.
Sebastian began to read from the book.
"Atra gülia un ilian tauthr ono un atra ono waíse skölir frá rauthr!"
He repeated it three times and closed the book.
"Alright, you can open your eyes." He said.
They slowly opened their eyes and released their grip on the others hand.
I walked over and sat in front of them.
"Say something, anything." I said.
Rachel took a deep breath, swallowed, and opened her mouth to speak.
Sebastian and I waited in anticipation to await if the spell had gone successful.
"E-eva..." My aunt said.
I stood up from my chair and pulled both of them up.
"Now you uncle Vincent!" I said cheerfully.
He nodded his head.
"H-hello E-eva." He said.
I immediately threw my arms around their necks in an embrace.
I let go and turned to Sebastian.
I threw my arms around his neck as well and buried my face in his chest.
"Thank you Sebastian. You truly are one hell of a butler."
I felt his chest vibrate in a chuckle.
"Damn right I am."
