Chapter 32: The Game Changer.
(Eva's POV)
After a short ride, we had finally arrived at the Hellsing estate. Sebastian exited the carriage and helped me out.
Sebastian grabbed for our bags, but Walter stepped in. "Please, Walter. Allow me."
"No please, you are our guests. Allow me." Sebastian bowed and placed a hand on his chest.
"Thank you Walter." Walter nodded. "It's my pleasure."
Sbeatian nodded and snaked his arm into my own. We approached the door. As soon and Walter went to open it, it was pulled open.
Out ran a busty blonde girl. "Eva! Sebastian! Hello! What are you two doing here?"
She ran up and embraced the two of us. I returned her hug, and Sebastian stood there awkwardly.
"Seras! Do you have any manners?" Seras nodded and back away. "Sorry Sir Integra."
Integra approached us and shook our hands. "Please, come inside for some tea."
We both nodded our heads and followed the tall blonde woman inside.
Once we were inside, we we headed for the tea room. We all took our seats and waited for tea.
"Hello Sebastian, Eva." Alucard phased through the wall and sat down in the chair across from us.
"Hello Alucard, it is a pleasure seeing you again." Sebastian said.
Alucard nodded and crossed his legs. "And it's a pleasure to see the both of you as well. What brings you two here?"
I lowered my head and Sebastian took my hand. "We had an unfortunate event occur, so we came for a visit."
Alucard nodded. "I'm sorry to hear that Sebastian. Well I hope your stay here is enjoyable. By the looks of it, I'd say you need it."
"Alucard!" Integra yelled. "Did everyone forget their manners today?"
Alucard lowered his head. "My apologies, please forgive Mr."
Sebastian chuckled. "It is quite alright. I'd say you were correct. We needed to be away from the manor for a while."
Integra lit up a cigar. "Please, stay as long as you'd like. We enjoy your visits. It gets quite boring here without missions."
Alucard nodded his head. "I agree, master."
"While we're on the subject of missions, there seems to be a ghoul outbreak in London. I need the two of you" she glanced towards Alucard and Seras "to dispose of the repulsive creatures."
I shot my head up. "Would it be a burden if I were to tag along? I'm quite hungry for battle."
Integra laughed. "It would be no bother at all. Sebastian, if you would like to as well, feel free to do so."
Sebastian chuckled. "I might just take you up on that offer my lady."
"What are the details of the mission?" Integra took a hit of her cigar and put it out.
"We are not sure if the perpetrator is a vampire or a demon. But all we know is that whatever it is, it's killing the citizens and making them into slaves. I need the four of you to find the perpetrator and dispose of him."
A dangerous grin grew across my face. "That sounds excellent Sir Integra."
Alucard nodded. "Yes it does master, it will be just like old times, right Sebastian?"
Sebastian nodded. "Yes, I look forward to it as well."
"Well, why don't we have dinner and discuss it further?" Integra asked.
"That sounds excellent." I said. Integra stood up and motioned for us to follow. We all stood up to leave, but someone grabbed my shoulder, Seras. Everyone else left the room.
"Eva, I am so very sorry for your loss. If there is anything you need, please ask." She said with a sympathetic smile.
I replied with a sad smile. "Thank you Seras. That is very kind of you. Actually, would you mind helping me train a little?"
She nodded and giggled. "Of course I will, Sir integra remodeled the training room. Now it is fully equipped with a combat simulation. We can go after dinner if you'd like."
I nodded pleasingly. "I would be delighted, thank you Seras."
"You are more than welcome. Now we should probably get back to the others."
I nodded. We left for the dining room. Once we entered I sat between Sebastian and Alucard.
Sebastian leaned over and whispered. "I notice that grin love, what do you two have planned?"
My grin grew even wider. "I will show you after dinner love."
He nodded and turned his attention to Walter, who had just sat two glasses of blood in front of us.
"Thank you Walter." Sebastian said. Walter bowed and returned to his cart to collect Integras meal.
He sat the plate down in front of her and gave Alucard and Seras their blood as well.
I took a long sip of the dark red liquid, allowing it to drip down my parched throat. I haven't eaten in days, so I savored every ounce.
"So master, what all do we know about the mission?" Seras asked.
Integra sat her wine glass down. "Well we aren't sure if the perpetrator is a vampire or demon. All we know is that they are turning innocent victims into slaves."
Seras nodded her head. I spoke up. "When will we be leaving?"
Integra looked up from her plate. "You will be leaving tomorrow night. I suggest the two of you train while you can."
She wiped her mouth and pushed her plate away. Walter collected it and sat it down on the cart.
Integra stood up. "You are welcome to the training room as long as you'd like. Seras, Alucard, show them where it is located. I am going to bed."
We all nodded and stood up. Alucard and Seras led the way. We walked down numerous hallways until we reached the training room.
"Alright, which one of you would like to go first in the simulator?" Alucard asked. I glanced towards Sebastian and smirked.
"This is what I was going to show you love. I'll go first."
Alucard nodded and opened a large iron door, revealing a battleground.
I walked in and stood up straight. "Are you ready Eva?"
I nodded. Alucard pressed the button and a lound noise sounded in the air.
I turned to face them. Growls and the scent of rotting flesh filled the room.
I felt one ghoul creep up on me. Seras looked a little ancy. "Eva look out!"
I laughed and flung my fist into the air, hitting the ghoul in the face and decapitating it. I felt a strange sense of energy bolt through my body.
Alucard patted Sebastian on the back and chuckled. "That's some girl you've got there Sebastian."
Sebastian chuckled and nodded his head. "Why yes, Eva is quite the dangerous one. This is just a little reminder for me to never anger her."
I felt another ghoul creep behind me. I back flipped over the ghoul and kicked its head clean off. As soon as I landed, two more came out of the darkness. I did a split into the air and knocked their heads off as well.
I wiped off some blood on my face. Another ghoul came charging at me, so I slid under it and grabbed its leg. I threw it at three more ghouls that were feeling confident.
There was a ghoul approaching me from the right. I charged towards it and did a cart wheel, kicking it in the face as well.
When I landed, I squatted and looked around to see if there were anymore ghouls. Just as I was about to raise up, a ghoul snuck up and grabbed me by the throat.
I turned my head, just to meet a mouthful of teeth. I rared my fist back and knocked all of its teeth down its throat.
I stood up and wiped off my hands. I started to walk to the door, I looked through the window and Seras gave me a thumbs up.
Just as I was about to reach for the door, the ghoul I had just attacked reached for my shoulder. I grabbed its hand and propelled it at the wall. It landed on the window and slowly slid down, leaving a trail of blood across the glass.
I bowed before everyone and opened the door. Sebastian walked over to me and took out his pocket hanky. He bagan to wipe some of the blood off my face.
"Those were some incredible moves Eva. Where did you learn how to fight like that?" Alucard asked.
I nodded towards Sebastian. "Only the best demon mentor I suppose."
Alucard nodded. "Well done Eva. Alright Sebastian, it's your turn."
Sebastian placed his hanky back into his breast pocket and nodded.
I gave him a small kiss for good luck, not that he needed it.
He stepped into the room and slowly shut the door. "Are you ready Sebastian?" Alucard asked.
Sebastian nodded and Alucard pressed the button. The alarm sounded once more and Sebastian took his stance.
A whole swarm of ghouls came charging at him. Seras looked a bit worried. "How is he supposed to fight all of them?"
I giggled. "If he couldn't do that much, than what kind of butler would he be?"
Seras nodded and returned her attention to Sebastian.
As soon as the ghouls were almost touching him, Sebastian jumped into the air and flung his silverware at them, hitting them all clean in the head.
Another swarm came charging and Sebastian jumped into the air once more. With a flash of light, he spun around all of them and in a split second they were all gone.
Sebastian landed and fixed his coat. He did not have one drop of blood on him.
Alucard stood in satisfaction. "I guess he really is one hell of a butler."
Sebastian exited the room and bowed.
"Damn right I am."
