(Eva's POV)

Nothing could change this moment. Nothing.

'Bang'

"D-did I just g-get s-shot?" Sebastian hovered above me quite fast and pressed his hands down on my bleeding abdomen.

"It's alright love. Do not move. Everything will be just fine." Sebastian said with a worried tone.

My vision started to blur and it was hard to breathe. I am a demon, but I am also a vampire, and I am also pregnant. It makes me more vulnerable to getting injured, it slows down my healing process since my body is more worried about the baby, and not me. So I can be injured now since I'm pregnant along with the baby.

The baby! "S-Sebastian. T-the b-baby." He pressed harder onto my abdomen. "I know love, it's alright. Just do not move."

I nodded the best I could, despite the fact that I was losing a lot of blood. Black dots started dancing along my vision. A sharp pain shot through my torso. I looked up to Sebastian, he was moving around quite frantically now.

I began shutting my eyes slowly, but Sebastian started to shake me. "Love, do not close your eyes! Please! Stay with me!"

Blood was pouring out faster now. My eyelids became heavy and I started to shut them.

"Please love! Do not fall asleep! I need you to stay here with me!"

"B-but I'm s-so t-tired." He climbed on top of me and held my face in his hands.

"I know you are love, but please. Stay with me. I need you." A single black tear fell from his eye.

I slowly shut my eyes and watched as Sebastian disappeared.

(Sebastian's POV)

"Love! No, please!" She slowly closed her eyes, leaving me alone.

I stood up and ever so gently picked her up bridal style. I ran as fast as I could to the carriage. Bard was standing beside the carriage smoking, Mey-Rin was picking flowers, and Finny was playing with a lady bug.

They all heard me and turned around. "Wha' 'appened Sebastian?!" Bard dropped his cigarette from his mouth.

I quickly opened the carriage door and gently laid her in the seat.

"There is no time for explanations! Take us back to the manor!" They all nodded and climbed onto the drivers seat and took off.

Who could have done this? Why would they, what do they have against my dear Eva?

I removed my tail coat and ripped it in half. I took one half and wrapped it around her torso, tying it at her waist. She had already lost a devastating amount of blood, but I could still hear the baby's heartbeat.

I was still applying pressure to the wound when we arrived back at the manor.

Finny quickly pulled open the door, ripping it clean off of the hinges. I picked Eva up and ran for the door. Once I pushed the door open, the young master ran down the stairs.

"Sebastian! What happened?!" I I ran past him and up the stairs. "Call the doctor master! She's been shot in the stomach!"

The young master quickly followed behind me and ran for his study. I arrived to a clean room and sat her down on the bed.

I ran to the washroom and grabbed a towel and ran it under cold water. I rushed back to Eva and placed it on her burning forehead, she had a fever.

The master ran inside the room and made his way over to Eva. "The doctor will be here as fast as he can. What about the baby?"

I furrowed my brows. "I can still hear both of their heartbeats, but the baby's is slowing down at an alarming rate."

He lowered his head. "This is not good Sebastian, is there anything you can do?"

I shook my head. "I am afraid not my lord. All I can do is hope."

He nodded and sat down in the chair in the corner of the room. He crossed his legs and propped his elbow on the arm of the chair.

Just then, a tall man in a white coat rushed into the room. He sat his black medical bag down beside Eva and took out a stethoscope.

He ripped open the top of her dress. I started to say something, but the master stopped me.

"It is his job Sebastian." I nodded and stepped back.

He placed the stethoscope to her chest and listened. When he was finished, he wrapped it around his neck and opened his bag.

He pulled out a pair of surgical tweezers and sanitized them. "I'm going to have to take the bullet out. She is unconscious, so she will not feel a thing."

We both nodded for him to go on. He slipped on a blue gown and a pair of elbow gloves.

"Will you remove her clothing for me please?" I nodded and walked over to Eva. I ripped the rest of the dress and threw it off to the side, leaving her in her undergarments.

"Thank you, now I have to ask you two to leave so I can proceed with the operation."

The young master nodded and stood up. I can't leave her here. I have to stay with her.

Her turned to me. "Come on Sebastian. You can't stay here. We must go."

"Young master, I can not leave her here. She needs me."

He approached me. "Sebastian. There is nothing you can do for her, but hope. Come on, we have to leave."

I sighed and nodded. "Of course, my lord."

I turned to Eva and placed a soft kiss upon her forehead. I whispered in her ear. "I love you so much. Please Eva, come back to me. Don't leave."

I stood up straight and headed for the door.

Please, you both have to make it out alright. My life would crumble apart if not. I guess all I can do now is hope.
