When the train came to a stop I got this overwhelming feeling deep inside it was making me sick. It was like butterflies in my stomach and I caught a scent that drop me crazy. I had to ignore it though as I followed father to the castle and was stopped outside the great hall doors.

"We will sort you first" the professor said

"Just wait here for the announcement" she added

"Okay professor" I said gently

"Welcome to yet another year at Hogwarts, same rules apply as last year and for those who have heard the rumors, it is true a new student is coming and a new professor as well" dumbledore announced

He paused for a moment

"Please welcome y/n lupin/black" he said

I groaned as the doors opened and I walked up to the steps with confidence. All eyes on me as I approached the stool and took a seat just as the hat placed upon my head.

"Interesting indeed, very interesting just like your mother, but a lot like your ancestors cunning yes, brave and ambitious too, not like mother in that sense let it be SLYTHERIN" it shouted

I looked over at father who seemed a bit sad at the notion but I ignored it and walked over to the Slytherin table.

"Hello, my names pansy" a girl with brown hair said

"And I'm Daphne" a blonde said

"You know who I am" I smirked

"Draco it's good to finally see you after so long" I added turning to face my cousin

"Y/n didn't know you'd be attending this year" he grinned

"Ugg father insisted I tag along, see what is so special about this place" I smirked

"Hello there" a boy said as he sat beside Draco

"Theodore but you can call me Theo" he said

"That's Matteo, tom, blaze and Lorenzo" Daphne pointed out

"Nice to meet you I suppose" I said smirking

The feast began and ended soon after but I was stopped by father grabbing me aggressively in the halls. He waited for the new friends of mine to leave before he began his argument with me.

"Slytherin really" he growled

"As if I had the choice" I hissed back

"I'm disappointed in you y/n" he said shaking his head

"Why, think I'll be like uncle Reggie, or grandma maybe even Bella?" I hissed

"Stop that" he huffed

"You always said I have his ambitions didn't you, uncle Reggie's" I growled

"You be good now you hear me, all actions have consequences" he said pointedly

"As did yours" I growled and stormed off towards the common room

It wasn't hard to find seeing as I smelled the same scent all the way down to the dungeons. It was intoxicating and I wanted to cuddled up and warp it around me entirely. I knew what it meant, but I couldn't bring myself to want it. A soulmate that is, mum and dad were soulmates or so it says but I have a feeling father and uncle Sirius were rather close too as it says in the journals. I stormed into the common room causing people to turn and look at me oddly. I growled as my hands sparked an emerald green glow on the tips of my fingers.

"Stop staring you gits" I huffed

"She's gonna fit right in" pansy giggled as she waved me over

"What did dear old dad want?" Daphne asked

"The usual things like be good, don't be evil, don't be trouble and shouldn't have been Slytherin" I said shrugging

"He doesn't like Slytherin?" Pansy asked

"Mother was a ravenclaw and father a Gryffindor like uncle Sirius but mum always said I had more traits of uncle regulus within me, as for father he's always been iffy about me I'm used to it tho" I said completely trusting them suddenly

"Oh" blaze said softly

"What did I miss?" I asked looking around

"Not much we were just picking on Theo" Matteo said

"As always" pansy giggled

I knew then that I'd be good friends with the lot of them, and I couldn't wait for the coming times with them. And truly hoped that I'd not have to leave again because moving is tough enough and having the father I have and a mother that I do. Well it's harder too, but I can handle this right.
