Chapter 3

The trip wasn't too long because I had most of the supplies already due to needing them at my last school. I just decided to get an owl of my own and named her rose because of the color of her feathers and the look she gave me. After that I returned to the manor with mum because father didn't come along he was too busy getting things prepped for school. He was so excited I couldn't help but feel it due to being an empath that is, being able to feel and manipulate emotions was hard enough but feeling them all was painful sometimes. I wasn't like other witches, my father was a werewolf and my mother a pure blood witch with major family issues.

Not that it affected my abilities, I had difficulty controlling them at times due to the chaos magic I had as well. I had various abilities such as nonverbal magic being easy to me as well as not needing a wand ever might I add. But according to mum the wand is meant to help with control over my magic not that I believed her at all. The few things I needed were a wand, books, my new owl and robes, the rest I already had. Like a broom, quills and ink, parchment paper and so forth. I did buy extra of those as well due to it being necessary to have I always liked to be prepared for the worst. Even if I couldn't exactly prepare for the worst at times I tried my best to do so yet live in the moment at the same time.

Mum always got teary eyed at the station or when I was being dropped off to head to school for the time I'd be there. Father on the other hand he was calm but this time he'd be coming along with me on my travels to school. Due to him being the newest professor at the school which I still wasn't exactly happy about it. But we're going to be leaving tomorrow to head to the station for Hogwarts much to my disappointment. I didn't get to do much over summer not that I did much during most summers but this was different to me. I wasn't sure how I'd react if father decided Harry was more important than me. Or if mum was going to agree with father over everything no matter what she always told me.

That it doesn't matter what house your in that they will love me no matter what yet part of me had a bad feeling it wasn't going to be that easy.

____________

The morning came too fast for me and no I was walking through a wall to get to the Hogwarts express. As fun as it was meant to be I wasn't all that happy about it, especially looking around at everyone. All of them greeting their friends after a long summer without them and here I wasn't filling father into a compartment for the first time ever. It didn't take long seeing as father had a long night for the full moon so he was asleep on the train. I was engrossed in a book when three people walked in not noticing me at first. It wasn't until the bickering died down did the girl with puffy hair suddenly notice me.

"Your new?" She said confused

"And your not" I said softly

"I'm Hermione granger" she smiled sticking her hand out

I decided on what last name to use, I knew if Harry over there heard my last name as black he'd panic.

"Y/n" I said shaking her hand

"Who's that?" The red haired boy asked softly

"My father, the new DADA teacher hence why I'm new" I huffed

Suddenly the train stopped and we looked around confused before it got dark and very cold very fast. I saw the dementors right away as I knew they were searching for my uncle whom somehow escaped Azkaban. I for some reason could always communicate with them and hear them speaking.

"Sirius black, where's he at" it said as it sucked onto Harry

"Expect patronum" I said with full intention as it dissipated and Harry passed out

"Father, chocolate" I asked pointing to Harry whom was just waking up

"Here it helps" father said

"Thanks" Harry said gently as father looked at him with a wide smile and nodded

Just great father was already interested in the boy who lived and I was completely nonexistent to him again.
