it was getting closer to my birthday, within the days that have passed since the disagreement or distancing myself from my "friends". i've haven't been well, i've had less control over myself, from my emotions to my wolf and my magic of course. i don't understand why this is happening to me, but my birthday was in two more days and i wasn't excited about it. especially today, today was very difficult for me, seeing my so called friends seemingly happy without me was even worse than i thought. so i stopped talking at all, to anyone and everyone, i refused to answer questions sometimes in my classes which landed me in detentions. it's been nearly two weeks since and my birthday like i said was coming up, but today was different, today something happened.

i was walking down the halls when i overheard some group of students talking about some stuff. it wasn't anything unusual until they started talking about me, my home life, my father and my so called friends.

"didn't you hear about the group?" a girl whispered

i pretended not to pay attention as if i was sitting there just reading normally in the little window seat within the castle walls. but i was listening, and intently at that because what was being said wasn't very kind either.

"yeah, i heard they kicked her out for something she did, haven't you seen matteo he seems less protective of her now, think i've got a shot?" the guy asked

"like i wonder if matteo finally realized she's pathetic and not worth his time or protection" the second girl scoffed

id seen her before, she was one of matteo's many obsessive girls that tried to get with him. so naturally i guess she was jealous of the situation overall.

"she's probably not even a good fuck man" another boy said

it didn't affect me, i tried to not let it affect me at least, but when they said what they did next i couldn't help but lose control again.

"yeah, i mean she's probably just a death eater like her family and ancestors are, maybe she even is against matteo and working with his father, maybe that's why he dropped her" the girl said

"and maybe she murdered someone hence why professor lupin would abuse her" the second girl said

that's the last thing i could stand for, i stood up threw my book closed and watched as it flew through the air hitting the girl in the head.

"what the fuck" she hissed and looked in my direction

her eyes widened as she took note of me walking over.

"you should watch your mouth you know that" i hissed pinning her to the wall

her friends stood there shocked and confused

"i...i didn't" she began

"didn't what, know i was standing there, know i was listening, know that i can do damage to you with just a thought" i growled

but before she could respond my lack of control dwindled even more and i punched her. she stumbled to the ground trying to get away from me, but i stalked her like prey. i hit her over and over again before she hit back and then i laughed pinning her down hitting her two more times before someone pulled me off.

"what the fuck y/n" matteo snapped

"what's gotten into you?" pansy asked nervously

"don't fucking touch me" i hissed removing my arm and stroming off not caring if they tried to follow me

but i was quick, i teleported back home, knowing i'd be suspended just in time to pass my birthday. which wasn't my original goal, but now it was and when i arrived home regulus was surprised. he didn't say a thing until he noticed my cut lip, bruised hands and the blood, a lot of it too.

"what happened?" he asked

"got into a fight, i'm sure you'll get a letter shortly about my suspension" i said and went to walk away

"what's going on y/n, your not yourself" he asked

"my so called friends, yeah well they aren't my friends anymore, they don't care about me and my soulmate well don't get me started there, he doesn't want me, but it's okay i wasn't worth it anyway" i said and rushed to my room slamming the door

"damn it" he said before i slammed my door.
