In today's hijinks, we get even more cringe and really dramatic as they all come back to Sonic's world.

They all appeared on a floating island in the sky.

Marklin screamed. Sonic looked to Marklin, blinked, and then looked away chuckling.

“That’s a nice look on ya, cat.”

“Tikal….” Knuckles groaned, but then turned to find only two shattered pieces of what use to be his emerald. “TIKAL!?”

“I seem, to have, grown, feathers, as if I were a flying thing.” Cass said as she looked herself over.

“You seem to be a swallow.” Shadow said simply.

“What the hell happened to the Master Emerald!?” Knuckles was panicking.

“It broke, sir.” Timothy informed.

“How the hell did it break!?” Knuckles held the two shards that were remaining.

“Did you break it again?” Knuckles glared to Sonic.

“No.”

“What if the energy used in the process to bring us here and change our forms took up too much energy creating heat and pressure, pinpointing faults in the gem.” Timothy suggested.

Knuckles groaned. “Great, I have to put it back together again….”

“Why am I a otter?” Jasper asked.

“Seren, you know why.” Marklin said quickly.

“It seems the Master Emerald transported us back.” Tails said, looking at the humans turned mobians. “I’m sorry that this keeps happening….”

“It's, fine.” Marklin said slowly, he took a deep breath. “Hell again…. New place at least.”

“This is Angel Island.” Sonic said. “Also known as the place where Knuckles wastes his life being alone in life.”

“Shut it, hedgehog.” Knuckles growled.

“Well, hell looks fine, so, what gives the whole ‘end of the world’ rant?” Marklin sneered.

“My island is protected from these things. Nobody can take over something that is in the sky.” Knuckles said simply before leading them all to the edge of the island.

“Oh, that looks scary, is that what it looked like before I was born?” Timothy asked.

“No honey, less fire, but about the same.” Cass informed.

Sonic stared, wide eyed, at the world below. “He really did it…. I have to stop him before anything happens to anyone!” And with that, he jumped off the island.

“Are we expected to do that?” Marklin asked.

“Yes. Now tuck and roll.” Shadow picked up Marklin and threw him off before jumping off himself. Marklin flailed the way down but, somehow, landed on his feet. Shadow curled into a ball and landed, not affected.

Knuckles sighed before jumping off, his dread-quills catching in the wind as he slowly glided down.

“Oh god, MARK I’M COMING!” Jasper yelled, he took a run and jumped.

Tails blinked. “I could’ve just flied him down….”

Hitting a few trees, Jasper landed on his feet. He brushed some leaves off of himself. Cass rolled her eyes.

“Timmy, honey, climb on.” Cass said, Timothy climbed on her back, with a run, she somehow glided down.

Tails flied down, careful to not run into trees or anything else. Sonic looked back on everyone as they landed. This wasn’t the team he had the last time this had happened, but it’ll do. He quickly took off, hoping that his old hideout was still operating. Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow took off after him without a second thought. Cass rolled her eyes, and still with Timothy on her back, she took off after them. Jasper followed with no thought. Marklin started to jog after them, badly. Sonic kept running until he stopped in front of a tree stump. Cass and Jasper caught up, they looked back to see Marklin slowly catching up. Sonic waited for them all, his foot tapping impatiently. Marklin puffed out of breath as he finally arrived. Sonic opened up the top of the stump.

“Get in.”

Tails did so first, seeming to be the only one besides Sonic that knew what was going on. Shadow and Knuckles followed by, and you could hear the two’s screaming echo throughout the area.  Cass sighed, putting Timothy in first she jumped down. Jasper grabbed Marklin and pulled him in with him. Sonic jumped in after them, closing the opening as he did so. Going down a slide, he soon found himself inside his old hideout.

“It’s, dusty.” Timothy said with a blankness.

“Well, it hasn’t been used in five years, so of course it’s dusty.” Sonic said.

Cass flopped her hand over Timothy's face. “He’s slightly allergic, but he will be fine of we get some of it gone.”

“No problem!” Sonic said, and before they knew it he’d sped off and dusted the entire premise. He stopped back in front of them, smiling.

“Thank you, Mr. Maurice.” Timothy said quickly.

Sonic shook his head as his friends broke into laughter. “No, kid. It’s Sonic.”

“Ok, Mr. Sonic.”

“It’s another Cream….” Sonic sighed before shaking it off and looking around.

“Excuse me!? Rude.” Timothy snapped.

“What?” Sonic tilted his head. “What did I say?”

“Excuse me, just because I am a mixed Indian; who just so happens to be party Anglo-saxon-”

“Kid, I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Sonic blinked.

“Of course you don’t, that's what they all-”

“I don’t know what half the words you said mean, so….” Sonic turned to Cass. “What exactly is he talking about?”

“He’s over reacting to something he should never have dealt with, leave him be, you did nothing wrong.” Cass explained.

Sonic simply nodded before starting to walk away.

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” Shadow questioned.

Sonic smiled, still walking away. “Tails will show you around. I’ll be right back…. Be safe okay?”

“Sonic?” Tails tilted his head, but Sonic was already gone.

“Is he being the stupid hero?” Marklin asked.

“When is he not being the stupid hero…?” Shadow mumbled before walking away, saying aloud. “I’m going to follow him.” he then ran off.

“Should we go as well?” Jasper asked.

“We can help them from here.” Tails said. “It’s too dangerous out there. Back then, we set up a camera system. We can just track them through that!”

“This one is a good reasonable one.” Cass commented contently. Tails smiled before leading them to a giant computer system, working through it to put up an image of Sonic and Shadow running into the metalized city.

“Wow, that’s a lot different in like, 8 hours.” Marklin chimed.

“I hope that nice family is alright.” Jasper said softly.

“Dr. Eggman works fast….” Tails sighed.

On the display, Sonic stopped in front of a house quickly breaking into the old thing and looking around. “Cream!? Vanilla!?”

Shadow seeing what Sonic was doing, quickly went next door, breaking in and instantly seeing Vector holding a passed out Espio and sick Charmy. Quickly, he helped Vector get the other two and raced back to the hideout. Sonic found the young rabbit and her pet chao, shaking. He quickly picked them up and raced off.

“Cream’s alone?” Tails’s eyes were wide. “Where’s Vanilla?”

“Do you think we know?” Cass snapped.

Tails’s ears lowered against his head. “I’m sorry, I was just questioning aloud….”

“Whatever, fox.” Cass sneered.

Sonic soon arrived in the hideout, setting down the poor rabbit child. Marklin looked over at the small bunny. “Well, they’re not dead.”

“No dip, Sherlock Toads.” Sonic rolled his eyes.

Marklins glare snapped to the blue one. “Excuse me?”

“Mr. Sonic?” The rabbit looked up to the blue blur. “Who is that?”

“Some salty cat, Cream. Don’t hang around him too much; you’ll catch it, and you’re too nice for that.” Sonic said to the young one.

“I’m certified to be around children I’ll have you know, and certified as someone to guard children.” Marklin corrected.

Sonic looked to the cat. “That’s terrifying.”

“Whats terrifying is you hero complex and face.” Marklin hissed.

Sonic rolled his eyes as Tails made his way to Cream. “Cream, where’s your mom?”

The bunny teared up. “Oh, it’s terrible, Tails! Dr. Eggman sent robots to capture everyone, and they got her. Sh-She’ll be alright, right?”

“Hey, hey, don’t worry, Cream! I’ll save the day and make sure that your mom is okay.” Sonic smiled, bending down to the girl.

“Thank you, Mr. Sonic!” Cream hugged the blue hedgehog tightly, tears streaming down her cheek.

Soon enough, Shadow came back, carrying Charmy in his arms. Vector was right behind him, carrying Espio.

“Do they need actual tendment?” Marklin asked.

“Charmy’s sick. I-I don’t know what’s wrong with him, and it’s not like I can just go out to see a doctor or anything….” Vector said, not as loud as he usually is. “Espio…. He tried to fight them off on his own…. I found him passed out, and he hasn’t woken up since….”

Marklin pointed and nodded at Timothy, of whom went to Charmy, looking him over gently. Marklin himself went to Espio, putting him on the floor and looking him over quickly.

“Anyone have a plant?” Timothy asked.

“We seriously just got here.” Shadow deadpanned.

“Whatever, prickle pickle.” Timothy sighed, he pulled out a plant from nowhere. He placed it in the bees hands. Shadow grumbled angrily as Charmy’s wings twitched slightly. Soon enough, he opened his eyes and flew up happily.

Vector instantly went to hug him. “Thank Chaos you’re okay!”

Marklin, poked at a certain spot on Espio. Espio jumped up, alert and looking around. Soon enough, he was in the small hug too.

“I was so worried about you guys!” Vector smiled happily. The other two smiled and hugged him back. Marklin and Timothy both gave the other a thumbs up.

Sonic smiled at the scene, but was soon gone again, running to the large, egg-shaped fortress in the center of the city.

“The blue one left again.” Cass chimed as she noticed a person missing.

Shadow instantly looked around. “Sonic, you fucking bastard, get back here!” He ran out.

“Great….” Knuckles sighed. “Sonic’s going to fight Eggman alone like the idiot he is….”

“Knuckles, go after them.” Tails instructed, pulling up the camera to the entrance of Eggman’s fortress. Knuckles nodded and ran out.

Sonic ran inside, stealthily making his way to where he remembered Eggman’s room to be in. Shadow and Knuckles followed behind, desperately trying to catch up to him.

Walking into the room, Sonic looked around, alert and ready to attack.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the blue pest.” Sonic quickly turned around to find the egg shaped man, surrounded by robots. “I must thank you for just disappearing like you did. After all, I wouldn’t be standing here right now.”

“This has to stop, Eggman! You can’t do this to people!” Sonic said, searching for an effective way to end this quickly.

“Ohohoho, but I already have, rodent.” Eggman smirked. “As we speak, the entire city is being roboticized! Even your precious little Amy Rose.”

Sonic felt himself shaking, but he stood his ground. “You’re a monster, Eggman….”

“It’s not Eggman.” the evil genius crossed his arms. “It’s Dr. Robotnik. And i’m sure you’ll love to join the world you didn’t bother to save.”

The robots closed in on him and he found himself attacking them immediately. He couldn’t fight them all off though, and he soon found himself in the middle of the large amounts of robots. Robotnik pressed a button.

Shadow saw this and called out his name before slamming into the other, pushing him out of the way and getting trapped in a small cylinder.

“You’re here too!?” Eggman showed his surprise, but it quickly turned into a smirk as he pressed another button and Shadow was soon gone. “This should be fun.”

“Shadow!” Sonic shouted, feeling tears well up inside him. A robot aimed to kill him, but was soon destroyed by Knuckles. Quickly, the echidna picked up the hedgehog and ran out.

“Knuckles! We have to go back to save Shadow!” Sonic tried to get out of the others grip, but he just tightened his hold.

“We are going back. It’s no use to try to save him now. Eggman’s too powerful.”

When they arrived to the hideout, Sonic was in tears.

“Great, you lost the punk-upine.” Cass snarrled.

“Ya know what? Fuck off. You shouldn’t call Shadow that!” Sonic snapped, quills rising in growing anger as he felt more tears run down his muzzle. Cass raised her hands and backed off.

“Nope I already raised three tennagers.” Cass said as she left that scene real quick.

Sonic huffed, going into a corner and curling up and sniffling, “I’m an idiot….”

“You’re only what you believe yourself to be.” Marklin chimed from wrapping something on Espio’s arm.

“I believe myself to be an idiot.” Sonic said, wiping the tears away, only for them to be replaced with more.

“You can’t be dumber than the people who said that fate should bring us together, and anyways, you managed to catch something, so you need at least one brain cell to do that, I mean, even Jasper managed that, and what, he’s the only person in the family without a doctorate.” Marklin informed.

Sonic sniffled. “B-But I just let him get captured…. Wh-What if he gets roboticized….? It’s all my fault….”

“The only thing that is your fault is the god awful attitude, get up you sob.” Marklin snarled.

“Why do I even try talking to you….” Sonic sighed as he got up and walked into a different room. Tails looked at his brother leave, worried.

“Because I’m right.” Marklin sneered.

“Fuck off!” Sonic yelled.

“Mr. Knuckles, why is Mr. Sonic sad?” Cream looked to the echidna.

“Well, Cream, he’s just sad that he lost Shadow.”

“I always thought they didn’t like each other.”

“Not exactly.” Knuckles smiled. “They both really cared for each other.”

“Is Mr. Shadow going to be alright?” Cream looked to where Sonic left sadly.

Knuckles didn’t think he could tell the poor girl what he actually thought. Instead he just sighed. “We’ll see….”

“Maybe when he starts to be an ass again we’ll get somewhere.” Marklin mumbled.

“He probably just needs some rest.” Tails looked to Marklin. “A lot has happened today….”

“Ahhem.” Marklin gestured at himself.

“We all need some rest.” Tails said. “There are sleeping bags in the cabinet over there.”

“Alrighty then, fox, we will rest.” Cass grabbed Marklin they the ear as she passed. “You ass don’t say those kinds of things how you would.” She chirped as she went for sleeping bags.

Knuckles helped to distribute them, giving the best in condition to the kids. When they were all passed out he looked to where Sonic went. “Sonic! Come out here!”

Sonic groaned before walking out.

“And it rises.” Marklin queued.

“Fuck off.” The blue hedgehog said before taking the sleeping bag and walking back to the room he was in before.

“And the blue ocean of water works set again.” He chimed, he went to unfurl the sleeping bag, to which it basically disintegrated.

“Oh….” Tails blinked. “Yeah, I should have seen that coming…. These have been here for about 5 or 6 years.”

Marklin huffed, he then flopped onto Jasper. Jasper puffed a bit but was fine.

Tails smiled before walking towards the computer and putting down his sleeping bag. Knuckles set his down in a corner beside the entrance, and the family of two reptiles and one insect curled up close to one another. Cream laid close to Knuckles, Cheese nuzzling up beside her. Cass laid down and instantly had Timothy at her side, she sighed and flopped back to fall asleep, not before wrapping an arm around her youngest child.

All seemed to be well, except for the teenage hedgehog curled up in another room, tears flowing down his muzzle.
