"Emily?...Emily waked up my darling"

Emily's mother said softly, and her voice like silk. Any child would wake up with such a sweet voice. Emily got up slowly rubbing her eyes.

Emily was confused, "Huh, mommy what's going on?"

"Come on you cute little four year old. Bring out a smile, today is the Celebration of Happiness! Be happy to bring you good luck." Emily's mother brushed her daughter's hair.

Emily smiled just for her mother to see her happy. As she smiled her mom laughed for the fact her daughter having to missing teeth in the front.

"See mommy, I'm smiling!" Emily said with thrill.
Her mother replied, "Yes, yes you are."

Emily's father walked into the room, " Karen were are we going today for Emily?"

Emily's face light up, "Oh oh can we go see grandma! Please please please!" She put on her best puppy dog face.

Emily's mother agreed and dressed Emily. She sang Emily's favorite song and Emily loved it. As they were driving they decided to stop by at the park for thirty minutes. Emily ran though the grass, she jumped up and down, and played tag with her father. Her mother took pictures to save every moment of today.

"Come on you guys we should go see grandma now, she is waiting for us." Emily's mother said, "Oh and by the way, grandma is staying at the Hampton Hotel this week, so we got to go see her there."

The happy family went into their car and drove to the hotel. But as they were driving they see smoke from where the hotel is. Emily's father speed up to see if his mother-in-law was okay. They arrive at the hotel and see a red fire truck hosing down the building. They try to look for grandma, but she was no where to be found. Emily's eyes began to fill with tears.

Emily began, "Where's grandma!?!"

"Emily it's okay," a strange but yet a very familiar voice called Emily. "I'm fine I'm right here!"

Emily hollered, "Mommy, it's grandma! She's okay!" She began to tear up with joy.

Everyone began to hug grandma filled with relief. Although Emily felt a strange vibe coming from the building. She chose to ignore it, but suddenly she heard a small voice calling her. The voice cried "Emily, Emily". She got curious and followed the voice. She went into the building a saw the burned lobby, the wood cracking, and the smoky smell. Emily started to cough and the building began to collapse.

Emily's mother saw and screamed, "EMILY!!! GET OUT OF THERE!!!"

Emily looked back confused and the building was falling apart. Emily's mother ran for here daughter, held her, and tried to find a way out. Parts of the building fell onto the entrance and both Emily and her mother began to cough heavily. Emily began to scream for help but it was no use. Emily's mother put her down and wiped the tears of her daughter's face, and look into her eyes.

"Emily, Emily listen to me. No matter what happens I love you, remember that okay."

Emily nodded, "Mommy, I love you too, but more. I'm going to see you after we get out of here, right?"

She teared up and hugged her daughter tightly, "I promise you will see me ... someday..."

Emily wakes up in the hospital room lying down on a bed. She has scratches all over her body and a scar on her forehead. She looks at her side and sees her father sitting in a chair next to her with his head down.

Emily speaks with a weak voice, "Daddy ... where is mommy?"

He lifts up his head and said, "She's not here. Not anymore."

He begins to cry and Emily got the message. She shoved her hands in her face and began to cry then noticed something around her neck. It was her mother's favorite necklace. The heart shaped necklace and her mother's moon stone in the center. Emily clench onto it and promised herself to keep it until mom came back.
