"Lilly!?" Eda exclaimed
"Edalyn?" Lilith repeated softly, pulling down the hood of her jumper. "So this is where you ran off to"
Lilith stalked up to Eda and Raine and stood in front of them.
"What are you doing here!?" Eda hissed.
"I could ask you the same thing" her sister countered
Eda glared at Lilith. "Answer the question"
"I'm here for you" lilith sighed. "Now you"
"To get away from know-it-all bitches like yourself" eda grumbled.
Eda could tell she hit a nerve. Lilith had always prioritised her knowledge. She'd used it to her advantage more than once. She could tell that Lilith held back a retort.
"Who's this?" Lilith asked, indicating to Raine.
Eda sighed and chanced a glance at Raine.
"A friend" she mumbled eventually.
"Well I need to speak to you about you-know-what" Lilith said, eyeing Raine.
"They know about me being a...what Hermione Granger is" eda said, deliberately not saying the word witch.
"Hermione Granger?" Lilith repeated.
Eda sighed. "It's from this human book/ movie series" she explained
"Okay...but why do they know?" Lilith asked slowly.
"Saw me making my mandolin appear" eda said bluntly.
Lilith looked at Raine, who had started going on their phone. She looked back at eda and mouthed the words, 'and you trust them with something like that?'
Eda nodded and smiled at Lilith's look of shock. She leant back in her seat and realised she still had the sunflower Raine had given her earlier was still in her hair. She blushed and saw Lilith raise an eyebrow at her.
"Are you two gonna start that silent convos that people do?" Raine said suddenly, looking up at eda.
Eda scoffed and pulled the flower out of her hair. Raine frowned slightly at her action, but soon realised that the flower was now all crumbled and broken.
"So, Edalyn...how has your life been since... since you left?" Lilith asked.
"I've been fine, had my ups and downs but hey, had those in bonesborough as well" ( is that how you spell that?)
"Bonesborough?" Raine questioned.
"Our home town" eda explained. "I grew up there"
"And how many people practically fell to their knees for you?" Lilith teased.
"Don't know, don't care. They all got what they deserved" eda said, crossing her arms.
"You turned one into a pig" Lilith mumbled
"Don't regret it! He now lives with his family" eda smirked.
"Hey new girl!" A lanky boy walked up to Lilith. "You're cute, wanna go out with me?"
"I'd rather shove knife down my throat" Lilith glared at the boy.
"You should be lucky I want you!" The boy shouted
"Maybe for someone else, but certainly not me" Lilith sighed.
Lilith tried to walk away, but the boy grabbed Lilith's forearm and yanked her toward him. Lilith yelped and tried to pull away.
"You're gonna date me wether you like it or not!" The boy growled.
Next thing eda knew Raine was on their feet. The walked up to the boy, who was a head shorted than them, and shoved them away from edas sister.
"Who the actual fuck do you think you are!?" Raine demanded coldy. "She said no! Shove off dickhead!"
Both Lilith and eda just stood/sat there shocked. The boy backed away and ran to his friends. Raine turned to Lilith.
"Are you okay?" They asked softly. " that looks sore" they indicated to Lilith's arm, which now had a red hand print on it.
"I-im fine- thanks..." Lilith mumbled.
Raine smiled and turned towards where the boy stood and glared at him. The boy looked nervous and looked anywhere other than Raine. They turned back to the two sisters and smiled at them.
"You should sit" Raine said to Lilith.
Lilith did what she was told and sat near her sister. She looked shocked at how the boy quietly left when Raine got involved.
"Looks like you saved both Clawthorne sisters today" eda said softly.
"With you I wasn't trying" Raine chuckled.
Time skip to the end of the day: (cause I'm lazy and I don't want to write that shit)
Eda, Raine and Lilith left school quietly.
"Edalyn, are you ever coming home?" Lilith asked suddenly.
Eda looked at her for a second.
"How would you define 'home'?" Eda countered.
"Where you were raised." Lilith answered.
"Never, I don't plan on going back" eda said. "Though if I can't find something to help with beasty I may have to"
"Beasty?" Raine repeated.
"Oh, uh...would you believe me if I said it was a witch thing?" Eda asked sheepishly.
"Absolutely not, but I won't make you elaborate " Raine said.
"Okay"
When eda got home, (with Lilith) she was about to sit on the couch when she felt someone press a piece of cloth over her mouth. There was a sickly sweet smell that came with the cloth. She struggled against the person but, soon enough, eda fell unconscious.
"I'm sorry sister" Lilith said numbly. "But this has to happen. Maybe that green eyed pet of yours can come along"
