Until, that man, came out of a portal, at the near end of the summer.

The man Dipper has been waiting for. The author of the journals. And for a moment, he was covered in blood.

"I have so many questions. I-I-I, I think I might throw up! Errhh! Errhh! Just gotta ride it out!" Dipper said.

After meeting the author, Stanley, had some explaining to do.

"It all started like this..." And Stanley told everyone the back story behind the two Stans.

Stan had broken Stanford's machine. And he lost their sibling relationship, forever. Stanford moved to Gravity Falls, Oregon. (Fun fact: Lynnsand lives in Oregon, Illinois)

He discovered mysteries. Found treasure. Did weird things.

He made this stupid decision, making a deal with Bill Cipher.

Made a deal, and made the portal. He shut it down, but he was sucked into it by his brother.

After 30 years, he came out of the portal.

And created the rift. When Dipper first saw it, it whispered to him.

"Huh? What's that sound?" Mabel asked out loud. She heard someone say, 'Come back, come back my sweet children'.

"Yeah," Soos agreed, Soos heard 'Escape that place'.

Wendy listened, 'Your deep sleep'.

Stan, Gideon, Robbie, and Pacifica heard: 'We've been crying over you'
