It was the day of the Smackdown before Money In The Bank, and as Matt and Leah woke up that morning, Matt couldn't help but notice that Leah hadn't been herself as of late. Not only had she been raiding the fridge for snacks in the middle of the night but she had also been eating strange things while doing so. For the last 3 days, he woke up to find Leah eating the strange combination of chicken and vanilla ice cream for breakfast.

Matt: Er, babe?

Leah: Yeah?

Matt: You wanna tell me why you had chicken and ice cream for breakfast these last few days?

Leah took a deep breath and held his hand as they sat down on the sofa to talk about what was not right with her.

Leah: Okayyy... so, you remember that night at Backlash, after your match for the IC title?

Matt: That night that we... did it in the shower in our locker room?

Leah: Yeah, that night. Remember when you... came inside me...

Matt: Yeah, what abo--- Ohhh...

A sudden look of confusion and shock then covered Matt's face as he then realised what Leah was hinting. The hints were even more true when Leah grabbed his hand and put it on her stomach.

Leah: Yeah... I'm pregnant!

Matt was in complete shock at those words.

Matt: You're pr... pregnant?

Leah: Yeah, have a look.

She got the test she had kept under her pillow from their bedroom, and then showed it to Matt. He just kept staring at it for 10 minutes straight before handing it back to Leah, with a smile beginning to creep onto his face. He then felt a stray tear run down his face as he took it all in.

Leah: What's wrong?

Matt: It's just... I never thought I'd be in this position again. I mean, when I lost Katie all those years ago, I see a bit of her in Amy, and I've got this feeling that whatever kind of bun comes out of that oven, I'm gonna see a bit of this baby in both you and Katie. But also... I don't want to lose you as well, especially after what happened with Katie... after my mistake...

Leah could see that he was visibly and emotionally distressed for Katie's death when Amy was born, and that his little girl never had a mum. He walked over to the window of his apartment and looked out at the morning sun, while Leah walked up behind him and wrapped her hands around his waist.

Leah: Listen to me. You've already proven how good a dad you are with Amy. Now you have that chance again. And I mean this in the nicest possible way, but now things are different. What happened with Katie wasn't your fault. But Amy needs a mum, a motherly figure in her life. And what with another little one to look after for the future and with this being my first kid, I feel like I can take this challenge on. 

Matt couldn't wipe the smile off his face, and he then turned around to kiss Leah with so much love and passion.

Matt: Katie would have loved you. And I'm not just saying that, she really would have loved you. Just as much as Amy loves you.

Leah: Speaking of Amy...

She quickly looked towards her door, checking it was still closed so she couldn't hear them.

Leah: A couple of times recently, she's almost called me Mum. I didn't know whether I should tell you or not...

Matt: Well, truth be told, I've never actually told her what actually happened with Katie, mainly because she's never asked. However, I do think that her calling you Mum will be a big step for all of us. You, because you've never actually been a mum before, Amy because she'll finally have a mother figure, and me because us three...

Leah: Four...

Matt: Okay, four... me because us four will be one big happy family, which is something I've always wanted, but never really had. I mean, I lost my mum to cancer when I was 7, I haven't heard from or seen my dad in about... 11 years. And my brother and 2 sisters... are somewhere out there. Out there in the world. 

Leah: Well, I'm sure that wherever they are, they still care about you. I mean, I'm still close to my sister, mainly cos she takes care of my dog, Pancake, while I'm away. But now, since I'm gonna have to take some time off, all of us can spend some quality time together!

Matt: You think your sister will even like me?

Leah: Absolutely. And so will Pancake.

Amy: Who's Pancake?

The two quickly slipped out of each other's arms to see Amy standing by her bedroom door in her pyjamas, rubbing her eyes and with her teddy bear in her hand.

Matt: Pancake is Leah's dog, Ames.

Amy: Doggy?!

Her eyes then shot wide open at the mere mention of the word. She went to hug her dad's leg and Matt picked her up to hug him properly.

Leah: Yeah, I called my dog Pancake. You'll love him, Amy, he's a tiny ball of fun!

Matt: Maybe we'll get to meet him soon!

Leah: Yeah, definitely.

Matt put Amy down and then the little one wanted hugs from Leah, which she could only smile at and accept.

Leah: Also, Ames, I've told your dad about me being pregnant. He was just as excited as you.

Matt: Well, I wasn't exactly running about the place like a madman. 

Amy: You mean, you told him about secret?

Leah: Yeah, I felt the time was right. I mean... I was gonna wait until you woke up, but I guess it's a bit late now.

Amy just smiled and hugged Leah.

Amy: It's okay, Mu- Leah. If you happy, I happy too!

The three then had a group hug before Matt then mentioned something else.

Matt: Also, Ames, Leah's been telling me about how you're almost calling her Mum. Well, I think you deserve to know the truth about your real mum. 

He sat down with Amy on his knee, and a curious look on her face.

Matt: Your mum, Katie, died while giving birth to you. It was an accident as both me and her were involved in a serious car crash while I was driving. I escaped with some small injuries, but Katie's injuries were serious, and she died from them. But as she passed away, doctors were able to save you and that's why I cry when I see you happy on your birthday every year. Because  every day you're here, you remind me of her, and you are so much like her. Trust me, if Katie were still here today, she would absolutely adore you. 

He and Leah could see Amy with tears beginning to form in her eyes and hugging her teddy close to her chest before Matt continued.

Matt: So that's why you've never known about your mum, or ever had one... until now.

Both he and Amy looked at Leah with a smile on their faces.

Matt: Because you've been calling her Mum a few times as of late, I figured that if you actually wanted to call her Mum, then you can. I won't have a problem with it.

Amy: Are you sure?

Leah: Yeah, are you sure we're not rushing things? I mean, we've not been together that long...

Matt: Amy doesn't really bond with strangers that well, but with you, I could tell that you and her clicked. You both get on really well, and plus, with another little one on the way, I feel like you're ready to not only become a mum, but also be called a mum by Ames.

He ruffled Amy's hair, who then jumped off his knee and then went to Leah and hug her tightly.

Leah: Well, I guess, if you wanna call me Mum, and your dad is good with it, then I'm good with it.

The two stayed in an embrace for a good 5 minutes, with the widest smile on Amy's face.

Amy: I love you, Mummy.

Leah was sure she felt her heart skip a beat at those words, but just smiled even more.

Leah: I love you too, short stuff.

By the time the two had pulled away from each other, Leah kissed Amy on the forehead and while they were doing that, Matt was cooking up breakfast.

Matt: Okayyy, who wants pancakes?

Girls: WE DO!!!

Matt: Glad to hear it... and don't worry, I'm not actually cooking your dog!

The three just laughed it off as Matt and Leah had 3 pancakes each with mixed fruit, and Amy had 2 with chocolate spread. As they spent the day together, Matt remembered the contract signing for the tag title match he and Braun had at MITB against Shane and Elias.

Matt: So, tonight should be interesting...

Leah: Relax, you and Braun got this. And you will on Sunday, as well.

Matt: You reckon?

Amy: Yeah, you and big strong man will be champions!

Matt: You'll be my inspiration for Sunday, girls. Don't you worry...

At the arena...

Leah and Amy were watching the contract signing from backstage, waiting for what went down.

Michael: So, this contract signing is for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match at Money In The Bank for this Sunday. Now, introducing first, the challengers, Braun Strowman and Matt Watkins!

Braun's music hit and out he came with his war cry, before Matt followed, with the two sharing a fist bump as they got in the ring.

Michael: And now, the Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Elias, and The Best In The World, Shane McMahon!

Here Comes The Money hit to a chorus of loud boos from the WWE Universe as Shane and Elias posed with their tag team titles and headed to the ring to take their seats, the other side of Braun and Matt.

Michael: So gentlemen, here is the contract, and we will begin with the champions to sign first...

Surprisingly, Shane and Elias wasted no time signing it, before chucking it right in Braun's face, almost causing a monster rage. Luckily, Matt kept him calm and grabbed a mic.

Matt: You guys honestly think you are one step ahead of everyone at everything. But what me and Braun have proved these past few weeks is that we are one heck of a team, and our chemistry is off the charts. You two got those belts by cheating and you know it. So this Sunday, we are coming for those belts.

Shane: Talk, talk, talk. Are you done? Cos you've been a pain in my backside since the first day you arrived here. And we're tired of you constantly talking about random stuff that doesn't matter. The one thing that does is that we have these titles and you don't. You and Braun don't matter to anything or to anyone.

Matt was now close to flipping the table and going for Shane, but Braun calmed him down. 

Braun: Matt, relax. This will be short and sweet. All of us have been condemned to Shane, Shane and more Shane these past few months, so I think it's time we take things a little more seriously. Nobody likes you, Shane, and frankly, nobody ever has done. You're not even doing your job right these days. I mean, you as a wrestler? Don't make me laugh!

Matt giggled away as he then spoke up again.

Matt: So, let's see if you can actually do your job right. Because you may have noticed, me and Braun haven't signed the contract and you have. That's because we wanted to surprise you with something first. You see, in that contract, there's a special clause that me and Braun lobbied to get, and apparently, you didn't notice.

Elias then grabbed the contract and flicked through it and came across something which shocked Shane. The Monster Among Men then grabbed it back and handed it off to Matt.

Braun: That says it all. This Sunday, me and Matt go for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles in a LADDER MATCH, and if me and Matt are victorious, then this man, right here...

He pointed straight at Shane as he then continued.

Braun: ...then Shane McMahon is no longer in the WWE! To cut a long story short... if you lose...

Matt & Braun: ... YOU'RE FIRED!!!

Braun and Matt then signed the contract and shoved it right in Shane's face before hitting a powerslam to Elias on the table, taking him out. They then cornered Shane, and hit their G-9 double team move on him, leaving him motionless. The two then posed with the tag titles before heading back to the locker room, where Leah and Amy were cheering for them both.

Leah: So if you win, Shane's gone from WWE? Awesome!

Amy: You and big strong man will definitely win now, Daddy!

Matt: You betcha.

After a quick shower, Matt and the girls headed home, but they were watched all the way by the mysterious couple from before.

Man: What do you think she's hiding from him?

Woman: I don't know yet, but I'm determined to find out. And when we do, those two are finished as a couple.
