Thursday had arrived, and Amy was beyond excited for today, as she was shopping with her dad and his new girlfriend. As Pam, Fergal and Amy were the only ones who knew about it so far, Matt and Leah wanted it to stay that way until he was ready to go public. The father and daughter were having breakfast while waiting for Leah to turn up.

Matt: So, sprout, you excited about today?

Amy: Yeah!

Matt: Is it just cos we're going with Leah?

She nodded her head and ate her cereal, while Matt kept thinking about stuff as he ate his toast. Was Leah the perfect woman for him? Was she the right woman to take care of Amy and become her mum? And what would Katie have thought if she were still around today? All those thoughts were put to one side as there was then a knock on the door. Amy ran to get it, and pulled the handle, after a leg up from Matt. The door then opened to reveal Leah ready to shop.

Matt: Hey, you.

He gave her a short kiss which she absolutely loved.

Leah: I'm still not believing that me and you are a thing...

Matt: Want me to pinch you and find out?

But Amy beat him to the punch, or in this case, pinch, as she pinched Matt's leg to amuse herself.

Matt: Ow! Not me, Ames!

Leah and Amy laughed as he rubbed his leg.

Leah: Nice one, Amy!

The girls shared a hi-five as they then went to the couch, and watched some cartoons while Matt cleaned up and got dressed in some jeans, a blue shirt and some trainers. While Leah was laughing at the Tom and Jerry cartoon, Amy looked at her dad and did her best attempt at a wolf whistle. Leah then turned to see Matt and saw that he looked as manly as ever, not taking her eyes off him.

Leah: Well, he-llo, mister!

Matt: This? Oh I've had this for ages, and I haven't worn it for a while.

Amy: You look good, Daddy!

Matt smiled at his daughter's comment.

Matt: Thanks, sweetie. Now, you guys ready?

Amy: Let's go shoppies!

Leah couldn't help but admire her as she held her hand as they walked towards Matt's matte black Mercedes GLS.

Matt: You okay leaving your car here?

Leah: Yeah, besides, you have an amazing car!

Matt: Well I don't think it's that amazing but thanks anyway! I've also fine tuned her a bit too, with a little help from my granddad's old mechanic tips. I learnt from him.

Leah: And where is he now?

Matt looked at Amy with a hint of sadness before replying, looking down as he spoke.

Matt: He, um... died nearly 3 years ago from a stroke.

Leah hugged Matt as best she could, with Amy even curious about her dad.

Amy: You okay Daddy?

Matt: Yeah I'm fine, short stuff.

Leah grabbed his hand while Matt spent a moment in traffic thinking about his grandad and all the good times they had together when Matt was just a kid.

Matt: Me and him, we were like two peas in a pod. Never fell out, never argued, and at times I thought he actually was my dad. Always got me an ice cream on holiday as a kid, every year, without fail. God, I miss him...

Even though he tried to keep it in, Leah was sure she could see a tear run down his face. A tear of pure emotion.

Leah: I'm sure he's looking down on you now, proud of his grandson.

She then gave Matt a loving kiss to try and take some of the pain away. He felt a lot better after that and carried on the drive to the shopping centre. Whilst they were there, Matt carried Amy on his back whilst also holding Leah's hand, and as they were looking at perfumes and aftershaves, Leah thought of something.

Leah: Hey, Amy... do you ever wanna wear this stuff?

Amy: What is it?

Leah: It's perfume. Like aftershave, the sweet smelling stuff, only for us girls.

Amy: Yeah! I wanna try!

Matt waited outside as Leah then took Amy and went inside and immediately, Amy saw one she liked.

Amy: This one!

Leah: Okay then, hold out your hand...

She sprayed a little bit of it onto Amy's wrist and Amy sniffed it. Almost immediately, she giggled and pretty much fell in love with it.

Amy: Smells like roses! I love it!

Leah: Come on then, let's get it for you!

Leah paid for it, and showed the bottle to Matt.

Matt: Ooh... Very nice, Ames!

Leah: Loved the smell of it straight away!

Matt: I love it, you'll be smelling like flowers every day now!

Amy: Yay!!!

Matt: Come on then, I wanna have a look at some games for my PlayStation.

After that was done and the three spent another hour looking and buying stuff they liked, they then went for lunch at a sushi bar, and immediately, Matt felt right at home, reaching for a bowl of squid. As soon as he took the first bite, though, he saw Amy and Leah look at him strangely.

Matt: What? Do I have something on my face?

Amy: No...

Leah: You actually like this stuff?

Matt: Yeah, I do like sushi!

Amy: It looks weird...

Matt: Try some, you'll like it!

He gave Amy and Leah a piece of squid each and let them try it. Much to their surprise they actually liked it.

Leah: Mmm, actually that's pretty good!

Amy: Yummy!

Matt then ordered some more food, including a chicken teriyaki burger and some cucumber maki for Amy, a portion of special fries and some tuna nigiri for Leah, and more squid and salmon nigiri for Matt.

Matt: So, did you like that?

Amy furiously nodded her head as Leah smiled.

Leah: This calls for a selfie...

As Amy stuck her tongue out, Leah didn't expect Matt to kiss her on the cheek as she took the picture, but smiled anyway before deciding to post it on her Instagram.

carmellawwe: These two mean everything to me and right now, I wouldn't have the world any other way...

Matt: You sure you wanna go public about us? I mean, I'm ready to tell the world if you are?

Leah: More than ready. Plus, I reckon when the world knows about us, they'll be surprised.

Matt: Hmm...

After a moment of thought...

Matt: Ahh, why the hell not, it'll be fun for everyone! Even this little monster!

Matt picked up Amy and gave her a piggyback ride back to the car as Amy giggled uncontrollably, while holding Leah's hand. Little did she know, not only would the world would be surprised, but with the current response that she hadn't seen, so would she and Matt. As the responses piled in on her social media, she came across a post involving Matt.

wwe: Thanks to WWE Management, tomorrow night on Smackdown Live, a HUGE No Disqualification match takes place as iameliaswwe and Intercontinental Champion shinsukenakamura take on the new, unpredictable team of mattyboy and lars_sullivan!!!

Smackdown, the following evening...

Leah had Amy with her at catering when they saw Matt talking to his new tag team partner.

Matt: So, tonight should be interesting, to say the least.

Lars: No doubt. You just say the word, I'll smash those two through so many tables they won't be walking again for a while.

Matt: Yeah, that'd be epic. Also, keep an eye on Shane. He's bound to be at ringside to help Elias and Shinsuke in any way possible, and we all know how he likes to stick his nose into unwanted business.

Lars just had an evil smile as he left to go warm up, giving Matt a pat on the back on the way. Matt then made his way to see Leah and Amy, with the latter hiding behind Leah as she looked terrified of Lars.

Amy: He's scary, Daddy...

Matt crouched down and spoke to his daughter.

Matt: Relax, Ames. He's not that bad when you get to know him, he's actually quite a nice guy. Trust me, you'll be seeing him and Dad win tonight...

Amy smiled as she hugged her dad, who in turn, picked her up and sat her on a storage crate so she could see eye to eye with Matt and Leah. Leah grabbed his hand the moment he sat her down and pulled him towards her.

Leah: Hey, you handsome man...

Matt: Hey, you gorgeous girl...

The two kissed, while Amy smiled and covered her eyes with her hands, so she couldn't see the two as they were now making out. Once they pulled away, Leah was absolutely beaming.

Leah: You should know that ever since we went public, everyone's been showing love for us!

Matt: Have they? I haven't checked my phone since it ran out of battery yesterday at the shopping centre...

He turned it on to reveal over 50 notifications from fellow WWE stars, family and other people.

Matt: Whoa...

Leah smiled as she saw Matt raise a smile at the comments they received.

Matt: That's just the thing I need to help motivate me before tonight's match...

Leah: Just be careful, I've been in a no DQ match before, and afterwards, I felt bruised all over. I may have lost that night, but I had so much respect for Nikki afterwards.

Matt: Relax, Leah. And you too, Ames. Daddy's gonna be fine tonight, I know what I'm getting myself into.

Amy stood up on the crate and stretched her arms out, wanting to hug her dad again. He picked her up and hugged her tightly.

Amy: Don't hurt yourself, Daddy.

Matt released the hug and put her back on the crate.

Matt: Relax, sprout. I'll be fine. You stay with Leah till my match is over, okay?

She nodded with a smile, as she then held Leah's hand.

Amy: Can we go and see Auntie Pammy?

Leah: Sure thing, let's go and find her.

Matt watched and was in a moment of deep thought as Leah and Amy went off, smiling together.

Matt: They remind me of Katie so much...

He then snapped out of it and went to gorilla where Lars was waiting.

Lars: There you are. Just got word from Hunter, he wants me or you to do something big tonight. I say we put those two clowns through the announce table at the same time.

Matt: Sounds good, but I have a better idea. We'll let Shane interfere, then while you hold him down, I'll put a move on him through a table with chairs on top.

Lars: Why not do both? It'll make for good action.

Matt: Good thinking...

Just then, Matt's theme hit and out he went, with his trademark hooded bodywarmer. Just as he pulled the hood down, Lars made his intimidating entrance and the two made their way to the ring together, almost frightening members of the WWE Universe. Sure enough, Shinsuke and Elias made their way to the ring with Shane in toe, with a look of confidence about him.

Matt: Bring it, big boy...

The match began with a few hard hits from Shinsuke connecting with Matt, but it wasn't until Matt overpowered Shinsuke with a T-bone suplex that his team got control. He then connected a couple of kicks before tagging Lars in, and he just took over. After flattening Shinsuke and knocking Elias into Shane at ringside, he then cleared the announce table and picked up Elias. Shane pulled Elias off Lars and he thought that distraction was enough for Shinsuke to attack. Instead, Nakamura was then hit with a mega sit out powerbomb on the floor, while Matt hit a spear and super kick to Elias.  The two then focused on Shane.

Shane: No, wait... PLEASE!!!

While Lars grabbed Shane by the throat, Matt got a table set up in the ring, along with 3 steel chairs. When Lars threw Shane in the ring, Matt connected with another spear, then laid him on the table. Matt went up top, and while Lars laid the chairs across Shane, Matt jumped and hit an awe inspiring Phoenix Splash to Shane, sending him through the table and leaving Matt clutching his chest. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Shinsuke hit a low blow to Lars, and set himself up for the Kinshasa, but Lars just managed to dodge it, sending Nakamura's knee into the buckle. Lars then nailed a Freak Accident on a chair, then Matt made it back in the ring to then go for the Throwback, which connected Nakamura's face into another steel chair to get the pin and the win.

Greg: Here are your winners, the team of Lars Sullivan and Matt Watkins!

Matt was relieved. He had pinned the champion and thus gained massive momentum going into Backlash. Meanwhile, backstage, Leah, Pamela and Amy were applauding Matt's efforts.

Pam: He's one heck of an athlete...

Amy: YAY! Daddy won!

Leah was almost trance like. She couldn't believe she had won the heart of someone like Matt.

Pam: Leah?

Leah: Yeah?

Pam: You seem to be admiring Matt a lot.

Leah: Well, he is my boyfriend now, am I not allowed to?

Pam: True...

Leah: Besides, he was awesome out there.

She then picked up Amy and hugged Pam.

Leah: I've gotta go now, Matt's cooking tonight!

Pam: Have fun! And use protection!

Leah gave her a death stare, as well as a smile when she and Amy left. They went to see Matt in the medical room, who had suffered minor bruising but nothing serious.

Leah: I told you, be careful...

Matt: Babe, I told you, I'm fine. Its just some bruising on my right side.

She and Amy hugged him from either side and then, arrived at Matt's place in Pheonix for dinner. The three would enjoy spaghetti and meatballs before turning in for the night, with Leah tucking Amy in.

Leah: Night, Amy. Sleep well.

She kissed Amy's cheek and then went to Matt's room where he was watching his match.

Matt: Wow, it looks like it was entertaining to say the least.

Leah snuggled up next to him, and had something to ask him.

Leah: So listen, I've been thinking... Would you like to move in with me? Cos us three get along so well, and I've just got a new apartment. I know it's kinda sudden but-

Matt cut her off with a kiss and a smile.

Matt: I'd love nothing more. I've been here ever since Amy was born and I fancy a change. I'll organise a removal service for next week.

Leah was so happy she kissed him non stop for hours.

Leah: I love you.

Matt: I love you too, gorgeous.
