Three years ago during the battle with Him a lot of fires where set to New Townsville, but one fire killed Momoko's mom, then her dad became very bitter towerds her, because she looked a lot like her mom, and he moved away but left Momoko behind in New Townsville and now the only contact they have is when Momoko's Dad sends her money. On the other hand, a week later Miyako's Grandmother died of old age, and because Miyako is deathly afraid of living alone she moved into a apartment with Momoko. Around the same time Kaoru's parents and brothers got into a car wreck killing all of them, so she moved in with Momoko and Miyako. The Mayor sends the girls money for helping the city and to live of. Over the years the villans in New Townsville have gotten stronger, but so did the girls. Even after everything that has happened the girls still fight crime and protect the city, becaues they know it's thier destiny.
