Introduction

Mrs. Denbrough was going on her afternoon walk. The sun was shining and there were only a few small clouds. Summer had just began and Mrs. Denbrough started going on walks to get out of the loud crazy house.

She was walking along a path behind her house. On her right there were houses, with the backyards facing the path she was on. To her left there was a five and a half foot tall wooden white fence, it was obviously aged and the paint was chipping off in a few places. The path was paved and there was a small creek between the houses and path, thus having a few bridges here and there to go across.

She smiled to herself but it soon faded when she heard soft crying coming from the other side of the fence. She quickly got to the other side and saw a boy that looked to be fourteen or fifteen. He had dirty blonde curly hair, he was curled into a ball holding his knees to his chest, his head was in his arms and he was crying.

Mrs. Denbrough went over to the boy and placed a hand on his shoulder while saying "hey sweetie, how come you're out here all alone?" The young boy looked up at her with a red face and glossy eyes, "my parents-" he was cut off by his own crying, "they kicked me out." It was then that Mrs. Denbrough saw a black duffle bag sitting beside the boy and a Grey backpack over his shoulder.

"Come on, I can't let you stay here." Mrs. Denbrough said and helped the boy up and they walked to the denbrough household.

Once they got into the house Mrs. Denbrough took one of the boys bags and asked "sweetie? What's your name?" The boy was looking at the floor, "Stan" he mumbled. His crying was finally coming to a stop.

"Everyone come to the living room!" Mrs. Denbrough called out into the house and Stan slid his shoes off and followed Mrs. Denbrough into the living room.

After a few seconds a young boy who was 7 (I honestly don't know how old Georgie is, I just kind of put 7) came running down the stairs and into the living room "Hi! I'm Georgie, who are you?" Before anyone could answer a man came down the stairs and a boy that was about Stan's age.

"So, this is Stan, he's going to stay with us." Mrs. Denbrough said while smiling at everyone. She than walked over to the man and wispered something to him. He nodded after and then she continued. "That there is Georgie, that is William-" she got cut off by the boy who looked annoyed at his mother "it's Bill." Stan nodded and Mrs. Denbrough continued with a stern look at Bill. "That is Mr. Denbrough but you can call him Zack, and I am Sharon."

Stan forced a weak smile and then there was an awkward silence in the room. "Well, we don't have an extra room so you're going to have to share with Bill, why don't you show him your room sweetie?" Mrs. Denbrough said and Bill groaned and then trudged up the stairs with Stan following behind.

"This is my room, you can put your bag there" he said and pointed to an area by the window.

Bill's room was simple, the walls were a very light grey and his bed was against one of the walls, he had a white desk and on it was paper, pens, and pencils. He had a dresser and a bookshelf against one of the walls.

The room was really quiet and then Bill took a step towards Stan which caused him to step back, this continued until Stan's back was against a wall, "What are you doing here?" Bill asked Stan standing about two feet away "my parents kicked me out because they found out I'm gay, then I was sitting outside and your mom found me and brought me here" Stan said this all in one quick breath still making consistent eye contact.

Bill was feeling uncomfortable with the eye contact and looked away "Oh" was all he said before Mrs. Denbrough called them downstairs. Once they got there she asked for an explanation from Stan about why his parents kicked him out.

"It's a long story..."
