Whispers of Destiny: Boon or Doom

The scorching afternoon sun cast long shadows through the blinds of my  Office in London. The weight of endless treaties and peace agreements bore down on me, my head throbbing with the monotony of it all. As I entered my cabin, my faithful assistant, Ms. Winston, followed closely behind.

Instead of taking my usual place at the desk, I collapsed onto the plush couch. The repetitive nature of my responsibilities had become a relentless cycle, and I couldn't help but wonder if I was to blame for the monotony that had become my dream job.

I rose wearily to pour myself a drink, contemplating the day ahead. "Ms. Winston, any appointments or just the usual files?" I inquired, taking a sip.

"No meetings or official visits until evening, Ma'am. There's a team dinner at 8 pm and a Zoom call at 10 pm. Additionally, a man has requested an audience with you," she informed me.

"An audience? I don't recall scheduling any appointments today, especially with the General Conference. Let him in, and bring the necessary files. Also, ensure the draft for the next address is ready by 5 pm," I instructed.

As Ms. Winston left, I returned to my desk, pondering over a particularly uninspiring treaty. Thoughts of consulting Mr. Gomez crossed my mind, and an unshakable intuition warned me that something significant might transpire that day.

A faint knock disrupted my musings, and I called for the visitor to enter. Sara, my assistant, ushered in a man who seemed vaguely familiar. College memories rushed back, and amidst the haze of recollection, it hit me—it was him!

Our eyes locked, and a flood of emotions from our shared past threatened to engulf me. Suppressing those memories, I gestured for him to take a seat. Sara discreetly exited, leaving us alone.

"Greetings, Mr. Kim," I managed to say, feeling the pull of an old connection that time hadn't diminished.

As those words hung in the air, I found myself swept away by the currents of a past I had long tried to forget. The story unfolded, transcending time and distance.

Twelve years earlier, in Seoul, South Korea, I had embarked on a journey that would intertwine my fate with his. The UN internship had brought me to a new world, and little did I know that it would lead to a reunion with someone who had once been both my salvation and downfall.

The echoes of our shared history resounded in my mind, a tale of seven individuals brought together by fate, bound by aspirations, and eventually torn apart by an incident that left scars on our souls.

The flashback transported me to my arrival at the Seoul airport, where Mrs. Cho, my welcoming guide, awaited. An intern in the field of International Relations and Law, I was about to embark on an adventure that would change the course of my life.

As the narrative unfolded, the scenes shifted to the captivating campus, the administrative block, and the moment when our paths first crossed. A chance encounter in a library sparked a playful interaction, revealing a connection that would transcend cultural differences and language barriers.

The story painted a vivid picture of our shared past, from the initial linguistic exchange to the encounter with an unwelcome stranger. Through each twist and turn, the magnetic pull between us grew stronger, setting the stage for a romance that had weathered the test of time.

The present-day encounter in London marked a reunion fraught with unspoken emotions. Despite the years that had passed, the connection between Mr. Kim and me remained palpable, stirring up unresolved feelings and untold stories.

As we faced each other in my Vienna office, the narrative hung in the air, waiting to unfold further. The lines between past and present blurred, creating a tapestry of love, loss, and a destiny that seemed determined to bring us together once more.

So Hi! I've decided to do this story completely in english, as one is more confident to convey the ideas and emotions more clearly than in malayalam.

Thanks for giving this a try!!
