Nori arrived back at the bunker by the time the sun started rising. She felt like just going into sleep mode the second she got inside, but that's when Yeva and Khan ran up to her.

"Nori... Uzi is missing!" Khan said.

"What?!" Nori asked, surprised. "What do you mean she's missing?!"

"She never came home from school and Thad says she had "other business" before coming home that she told me about! She never told anything!" Khan said, waving his hand around hysterically.

"Well, where have you looked?!" Nori asked.

"I looked all of her usual places for her! The hardware store! Hot Topic! The music outlet!" Khan said, listing all of Uzi's favorite places.

Yeva had an idea.

"Я пойду и спрошу Куклу (I'm going to go ask Doll)" Yeva said, having a feeling that Doll might know where her cousin is.

"Check with her best friend, too. That Lizzy girl." Nori said as Yeva nodded and left, "Khan, let's go check outside for a bit, see if she's out there."

The husband bot nodded before the three of them rushed out of the household, searching for their missing daughter/niece.

'Uzi, please be okay!' Nori thought.

Nori was very upset and angry.

"That girl is going to be grounded for ten years when I find her." Nori said.

"Why would she do this? She's usually a good kid." Khan said, "Did... did she find out?"

"I don't know how she could've, we haven't talked about it near her and... there's no possible way for her to know she's a Murder Drone, or that she's adopted... even if she did what does it matter, it wouldn't change anything. She's still our daughter."

"That may be true, but it would be overwhelming for her." Khan said, "It would be hard to accept that everything you've been told is a lie... Nori, I need to know, what is she in danger of?"

Nori stopped dead in her tracks.

"... Her name was Cyn... and she's the reason that there's no human on the planet." Nori said, "She can posses certain drones... like she did with me before Yeva saved me."

"What? A-A program destroyed all the humans?" Khan asked in shock.

"No, Cyn is not just a program. Somehow, she evolved into some sort of....otherworldly monster. With an endless appetite for destruction." Nori said, her expression growing grim, "Look, it's hard to explain, and I'd rather explain it fully once we find Uzi."

"Okay, I understand." Khan said with a nod.

'Is this Cyn the reason she drew all of those pictures in the closet?' Khan thought, remembering all pictures Nori drew before Uzi was "born."

They looked around for a long time before the sun started to get to Nori.

"She's not out here... we need to head back." Nori said, feeling the sting of the sun, "Maybe Yeva was able to get some info from Doll."

"Sure." Khan said before taking off his jacket and putting it over Nori. "Here, this should help."

"Thanks, honey bolt." Nori said softly.

"Anything for you." Khan said as they headed back inside.

Once they did get inside, they found Yeva.

"Damn it." Nori said, very upset by this, "As much as I hate to say it, we have no choice but to wait. I can't go back out for a bit without burning to death and losing either me or you, Yeva, would make this much harder."

Yeva nodded, hating that the only option was to wait, but there wasn't much they could do.
