ANNELISE PETROVA or better known as Angelina Pierce, had been called many different things in her 500 years of living. A traitor, a liar, a slut, manipulative.. or maybe kind, misunderstood, or stupid and naive. It generally depended on who it was coming from.

In some ways she was just like her sister, Katerina Petrova. After years and years of running from the vengeful original vampire, Niklaus Mikaelson, she's picked up on her sister's manipulative and bitchy traits, but if she was being honest, she was the complete opposite.

Over the years her sister had taught her that she had no room for a man in her life. Especially after what happened with her first love. And she was right. Neither of the twins had stayed in one town long enough to be able to build a relationship with anyone they came across. Her hope for love was lost.

Until she laid her eyes on Stefan Salvatore.

It was practically love at first sight. The way he stood, his messy hair, his charming emerald eyes. During her stay in Mystic Falls, it was the happiest she had ever felt in 400 years. But, unfortunately all good things come to an end. You see, a vampire falling in love with a human felt like a nightmare. Especially a vampire with a large bounty on her and her sister's head for anyone who wanted Niklaus' approval to use to their own advantage.

Unless she wanted to doom Stefan to a life of misery just so she could be with him, she had to run. It pained her more than anything in the world to part with the man she loved most, but she had no other choice.

But what happens 145 years later when an unfortunate turn of events leads to their reunion, only to find out his heart belonged had now to someone else?
