Blaire

I stood up and brushed myself off and walked out of the bathroom. I glanced at Milah, and the men she was playing pool with and they were watching me. I swallowed thickly and walked back to the table.

"You were gone forever." Emma said.
"Yeah. So..I think we should go." I said.
"We just got here." Emma frowned.
"Those guys over there give you trouble?" Neal asked, noticing that the guys in the pool room were watching their table. "I can get them to leave."
"No. I just think we should go. Emma?" I asked.
"If you want to go Blaire you can go. Just tell my Dad I'm staying at Ruby's." Emma sighed.
"Fine. Just be careful Em." I said and narrowed my eyes at Neal before I walked out of the bar. I Untied my jacket from around my waist and put it on and started walking. I heard the door to the bar open and glanced over my shoulder at two of the men who were previously playing pool with Milah were now walking behind me.

Now, the logical thing to do would have been to call David and tell him I'd somehow gotten myself into some sort of trouble and I needed him to pick me up, but I didn't want him to know exactly where we were. Calling Killian was also out of the question, that just wouldn't be a pretty situation to have him show up to save my ass from the men his wife sent out the door to what I hoped was just to scare me.

I picked up my pace, walking towards O'Malleys hoping someone was there. Anyone at this point. The men behind me picked up their pace as well. I ducked into an alleyway and hid behind a dumpster. The men walked into the alley, and I held my breath until they walked past me and then I bolted out from behind the dumpster and started running towards O'Malleys. I looked over my shoulder and they were running after me.

I thanked Zeus that I could see the lights on at O'Malley's. I made it to the door and turned the knob but it was locked.
"Son of a bitch." I grumbled and looked to my left at the men who were now walking towards me menacingly. I could see Thomas inside so I started beating on the door. I was either going to get his attention or break it open. Thomas looked up at the door confused and then saw me and hurried to the door and unlocked it and stepped out.
"Blaire what on earth are you doing?" He asked and then looked at the two men standing there.
"What's the problem?" He asked.
"Just taking care of a nosey kid O'Malley. None of your concern." One of them said.
"Blaire get inside." Thomas said.
"Thomas I'm not go-"
"Inside." Thomas said in a tone that left no room for argument. I walked inside and he closed the door. I couldn't hear what he was saying to them, but whatever it was made them back off. He opened the door and walked inside.

"What the hell was that all about?" He asked me.
I just shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know." I said. "I Just noticed they were following me, and I ran here."
"And what were you doing in these parts this late anyways?" Thomas asked.
"Just....out for a stroll?" I said and smiled.
"Try again." Thomas said and crossed his arms.
"They called you a nosey kid, and I know those men hang out at The Rabbit Hole and you would not be there."
"Certainly not.." I mumbled.
"Blaire.." Thomas sighed. "I told you. I specifically TOLD you, do not go digging around here for information on your father or you'd end up in trouble like him."
"I wasn't!" I sighed. I mean..I wasn't lying to him. I wasn't looking into info on my Dad.
"Then what were you doing at the Rabbit Hole? Hm?" He asked. No wonder this man and my Dad were best friends. They were both equally good at grilling me when they wanted to know what I was up to.
"You can't tell David. But Emma dragged me there to meet up with some guy she's dating who works there. I got bored and hustled those men out of money with a game of pool. They were pissed. That is all." I lied "I don't know why they called me nosey."
"You are your father's daughter." Thomas sighed. I looked down at my hands.
"I didn't mean it that way Blaire, and I still don't think he did what they say he did." Thomas said.
"I need to go home." I said quietly.
"I'll drive you. Had something I wanted to talk to you about anyways."
"Okay.." I said and raised an eyebrow. Thomas locked the front entrance. "Come on, my cars around back."

The ride was kind of quiet for a bit. I figured it was because he could pick up on my discomfort.
"My grand reopening is next week." Thomas said.
"It's ready already?" I asked.
"It is." Thomas smiled. "Will helped a lot."
"Thats good." I nodded.
"It is. I wanted to ask you if you wanted a job? I need someone to wait tables and I think having A Nolan back in the place would really just make it feel right."
"You've met me right? I'm not exactly a customer service type of person right."
"Neither was your mother, but people loved her behind the bar when it was a night club and you are more like her than you know."
I sighed. "I don't know."
"I mean, you're bored enough to hussle big dudes like that out of money. Why not be bored and get paid a safer way. We can work around your school schedule and I'll make sure you don't fall behind on your school work. Sleep on it, and get back with me in a couple days." Thomas smiled as he pulled up to the house.
"I will. Thanks for the ride home...and not letting me get killed by those big dudes."
"Anytime." Thomas chuckled. I got out of the car and Thomas drove away as I walked up the walkway.
I opened the door and walked inside. David and Mary-Margaret were on the couch The TV was playing a movie, but they were too busy playing tonsil hockey to watch it.
"Is this what you do when we leave?" I asked.
David pulled away from Mary-Margaret who cleared her throat awkwardly.
"Blaire! I didn't expect you home so soon...where is Emma?"
"Her and Ruby had a school thing they were working on so she's staying there tonight." I said and walked into the kitchen looking for food.
"Everything go okay?" David asked as he followed me.
"Yeah. I just didn't want to stay the night."
"You've clearly been smoking." David said and raised an eyebrow. "I could smell the smoke as soon as you walked in.
"You deal with that gigglefest and tell me you wouldn't." I said.
David held his hand out.
Your boyfriend better be worth it Emma.
I sighed and took the cigarettes out of my pocket and put them in his hand.
"You need to quit." David said.
I shrugged. "I will." I said and grabbed a package of poptarts "When I'm dead." I smirked and walked out of the Kitchen.
"See you in the morning." I said as I walked up the stairs.

I pulled out my phone and sent a quick text to Killian.

Me:
Home. I smell like bar. I'm going to take a shower. You know.. So you don't freak out and think I'm dead in the 20 minutes I don't reply.

KJ:
Gotcha. See you in class tomorrow. Oh, Before I forget, Liam found the person who originally posted that video. It's one of Peter's friends. Felix. It will be taken care of.

Me:
Thank you. See you tomorrow.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Morning came way too quickly. I had spent most of the night doing make up work from the time I missed. I had Killian's class all done, and I fell asleep working on biology. I looked at my phone and saw a text from Killian sent around 5:30AM

KJ:
Morning sunshine.

Me:
5:30 is a bit early for me. You're insane.
KJ:
Oh.. I've been up since 4. I go on a jog almost every morning before getting ready for work.

Me:
I went to bed at 3 so I just missed you.

KJ:
3?? You'll be napping in my class. I see it now.

Me:
You have very little faith in me. And java monsters.

KJ:
Those things are bloody terrible for you, you know.

Me:
Listen sir. I don't have to take this from you until 1pm. You don't get to yell at me any earlier than that.

KJ:
Fair enough.

I groaned and grabbed my school work and tossed it into my backpack and hurried over to the closet to find my clean uniform.
"Blaire you're going to be late!" David called from downstairs.
"I know! Give me a sec!" I hollered back and looked in my mirror. I looked like the actual walking dead. I looked at my clock and shrugged before I quickly put on some eyeliner and lipstick it wasn't much but at least I tried. I grabbed my backpack and jogged down the stairs and almost made it out the door.
"Ah! Breakfast!" David said. I rolled my eyes and turned around.
"The only thing I saw you eat last night was pop tarts.* David said and raised his eyebrow at me.
"Aren't we just extra judgy today" I mumbled.
"Not judgy. Concerned. Sit down and grab something to eat and I'll take you to school." David said. I sighed and sat down and grabbed two pieces of toast, some eggs and bacon and made a sandwich out of it and took a bite.
"I bet you Emma didn't eat breakfast at Ruby's."
"If you think I'm bad for making you eat breakfast, You wouldn't survive at Rubys. Granny doesn't let anyone leave the house until they practically have to be rolled out." David chuckled. "Speaking of Granny, she asked me if you would want to work part time on the weekends and some evenings at the diner with Emma and Ruby." Mary-Margaret smiled.
"Actually.." I said "Thomas O'Malley offered me a job last night. He saw me walking home from Ruby's and gave me a ride... I've been thinking about accepting."
"Oh Thats great!" Mary-Margaret beamed. David however looked a little less than thrilled but shook it off.
"If thats what you want to do, then you should go for it." He smiled. Why was he so uncomfortable any time I brought up Thomas?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I met Will on the front steps of the school when David dropped me off.
"I heard you got into quite a mess last night." He smirked. "Hustling two big guys out of money."
"How did you hear that?" I asked.
"Oh... uh well, I stopped by O'Malleys this morning before coming here." Will shrugged and looked away. I knew he wasn't being honest. But he seemed kind of upset so I didn't want to push.
"Oh. So are you going to be working there when he opens?" I asked.
"Aye. I'll be doing dishes. He said he was going to offer you a spot waiting tables."
"He did. I'm thinking about taking it..maybe it will get us closer to some answers about what happened 15 years ago."
"O'Malley catches us snooping around about that bloody arson, he'll let us have it. You know that right?" Will said.
"I can handle it. I have to know. I may not be able to prove my fathers innocence about what happened to my mother. I have no idea how to even start on that. But I can clear his name on this."
"And what if he did do it Blaire?" Will asked. "What if he did all of this?"
"I'll cross that bridge when I get to it Scarlet." I sighed. The bell rang.
"I gotta get to Algebra. See you later." I said and walked inside. I saw Ruby in the hallway. But no Emma. I raised an eyebrow and followed her into the Algebra classroom.

"Where is Emma?" I asked. "I didn't see her in the hallway with you."
"She'll be here. Don't worry." Ruby shrugged. The tardy bell rang, and Mr. J started speaking and writing on the board.
"What do you mean she'll be here?" I hissed. "Where is she?"
Mr. J turned around.
"Ladies, quiet please." He said and turned back to the board.
"Where. Is. Emma?" I whispered.
"She stayed with Neal last night."
"What??" I demanded. Ruby put her finger to her lips.
"Miss Nolan." Mr. J sighed. "Quiet, I'm teaching." Killian would have ate my lunch by now, his brother had the patience of a saint. Mr. J turned back to the board.
"What do you mean she stayed with Neal?" I whispered to Ruby.
"She went to his place with him. She will be here. Chill."
"She better be here. I told her dad she stayed at your place. If you're here and she's not, he's going to know I lied to him and then I'll have to deal with it!" I hissed.
"Blaire!" Mr. J said, raising his voice which he rarely ever did.
"Just give me a minute!" I fired back and then instantly realized my mistake.
Mr. J walked over to his desk and scribbled something on a pad of paper and then walked over to me and slapped a slip of paper down on my desk. I looked down at the detention slip and shrank down in my chair a bit.
Okay, I deserved that one.
"When the bell rings, your time is up. Its my time. I don't know whats gotten into you this morning Blaire, but I don't appreciate it. Unfortunately for you, my brother is running detention this afternoon."
Not exactly unfortunate. Although he may give me hell for getting into trouble in his brothers class.
"Sorry Sir.." I mumbled and tucked the detention slip into my backpack.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It wasn't until English, that Emma strolled into the class 5 minutes late with sunglasses on. She took her seat at our table that we shared with Ruby, and Regina. I just glared at her.
"What?" She asked.
"You told me you were staying at Ruby's!" I hissed.
"I got a little carried away at the bar, and I didn't want Granny to find out where we were because she'd have told my dad in a heartbeat. So I went to Neals." Emma said and pushed her sunglasses up. Her eyes were glassy and she was clearly hung over.
"Its 11am Emma. You missed 3 classes. Your mom teaches here. How the hell do you think this is going to go? I told your parents you were at Rubys and now we're both in deep shit if she finds out your ass wasn't here this morning."
"Chill out, I don't even know why you're so worried. Its not like they're going to get mad at you. They're afraid to because you're kind of a spaz." Emma shrugged. I felt my heart sink a little. That hurt.
"Em...what the hell?" Ruby sighed.
"Yeah that was a little bitchy Emma." Regina said.
I stood up.
"Miss Nolan, where are you going?" Mr. Booth asked.
"Who cares." I mumbled.
"I didn't say you could leave class!" Mr. Booth sighed.
"I didn't ask. Don't bother with the detention slip. I already have one." I said and picked up my bag and stormed out of the room.

I paced back and forth in the girls bathroom trying to get a hold over my rising temper. Anyone that knew my dad, likely knew his temper, and anyone that knew me, knew mine was quite the match for him. Some people even said it was worse, and given everything going on right now, that kind of scared the shit out of me. I pulled out my phone and texted Killian. For some reason that man knew how to calm me down when I couldn't even seem to figure it out.

Me:
You...uh..teaching?

KJ:
My Junior class is taking a pop quiz.

Me:
Oh. Goodie.

KJ:
You should be in English. Why are you texting me?

Me:
Because I'm not in English I'm pacing in the girls bathroom trying not to punch the mirror. So..keep texting. Work that weird magic you do.

KJ:
Not quite magic, more so understanding. What set you off?

Me:
Well first it was your brother. And then Emma.

KJ:
Liam? How the bloody hell did he piss you off?

Me:
He gave me detention.

KJ:
I could count the number of students a year that my brother gives detention to on one hand. And he likes you. How did you manage that?

Me:
I yelled at him.

KJ:
That'll do it. Care to explain?

Me:
I was arguing with Ruby about Emma, and he got mad and then I got mad and you know what.. This all goes back to Emma. Its her fault.

KJ:
Its..Emma's fault you yelled at Liam? I'm sorry I..think we need to chat in person. Lunch?

Me:
Its a date.

I hit send before I even realized what I said and then my eyes widened.
Me:
A lunch date.. I mean

Without the date.

Lunch. See you at lunch.

I looked at the time on my phone. Lunch was only 20 minutes away. I picked up my bag off the floor and walked out of the bathroom. I dodged Mr. J as he came out of his classroom. He must have had a free period. I hurried out one of the exits and sighed as the cool air hit my face. I sat down on the side of the steps out of sight and rummaged through my backpack.
"Hah!" I grinned as I found a mostly empty pack of cigarettes. This would keep me occupied for a few minutes, and I wouldn't have to go back to class.

When the lunch bell rang I snuck back inside and went to the cafeteria to grab some lunch to take to Killian's classroom with me.
"Where did you go?" Emma asked as she stepped up behind me.
"Nowhere that concerns you." I shrugged.
"Come on Blaire." Emma sighed. "I didn't mean it."
"You did. Actually. I could tell. I've had numerous hurtful things said to me over the years. I can tell when people mean it. Its a skill. Like your lying thing." I said.
"Does it matter if I say I'm sorry?" Emma asked.
"Not really. No." I said and grabbed a tray with a chicken sandwich and fries.
"Where are you going now?" Emma asked.
"Also none of your concern." I said. "Maybe since I'm such a spaz and all you should probably back off." I added as I walked out of the cafeteria.

I stood outside Killian's classroom and looked around making sure no one was there. Surely students came to drop off assignments or something to him during lunch occasionally. Maybe it wouldn't look so strange if someone did happen to see me. Maybe I was also just overthinking this whole thing. I didn't bother to knock as he was expecting me. I turned the knob and opened the door walking in. I looked up and stopped Dead in my tracks when I noticed I wasn't the only person who came to see Killian during lunch. Milah was here too. She brought him lunch and the two of them sat at his desk casually chatting while they ate..as..married people do.
Killian looked up at me with apologetic eyes.
"Miss Nolan.." He said. Milah looked at me and if looks could kill I'd be dead on the floor. Her expression was practically challenging me. Daring me to say something to Killian about what happened last night at the bar. Like she thought that was my purpose for being here right now.
"I'm sorry.. To interrupt." I said quietly and set my tray down and then opened my backpack and pulled out the rest of the late work for Killian's class I had and walked over to the desk handing it to him.
Killian took the papers and looked at them.
"I wanted to give you those. Before I forgot. Its the rest of the late work from the time I miss..so yeah. I'm just going to go and let you two get back to it." I said.
"Thank you Miss Nolan. I'll look over this as soon as possible and make the proper adjustments to your grade." Killian said. "Enjoy the rest of your lunch." He said.
"You..too." I said awkwardly and picked up my tray. Milah gave me a sickenly sweet smile.
"Enjoy." She said. I swallowed thickly and turned on my heels and walked out of the classroom practically shaking. I barely knew that woman and I hated her so much. How could she sit there with him and act like nothing was wrong? How could she do that to him? She didn't deserve him.

I Made my way back towards the cafeteria when I heard someone sobbing. I raised my eyebrow and followed the noises and found Wendy sitting in the hallway to the left of the cafeteria.
"Wendy?" I asked. She looked up at me and wiped her eyes.
"Sorry.." She said.
"Don't apologize.. What happened?" I asked.
"Peter..happened." She mumbled.
"What did he do?" I asked.
"Its nothing.. I'm fine Blaire." Wendy said.
"This is not fine Wendy.." I said and looked at the red marks around her wrist that looked like finger prints. I was reaching a boiling point by now. "He do that?" I asked.
"He followed me into the bathroom.. And he tried to put his hands up my skirt I looked down and noticed the identical fingerprint marks on her thighs
"I started to yell so someone would help me and he ran out...no one came anyways" She said. She looked absolutely defeated by this waste of human space.
"Where is he?" I asked practically seething now.
"He's in the cafeteria with his friends." Wendy said. "But Blaire you don-" She couldn't even finish her sentence before I turned around and stormed into the cafeteria. I discarded my tray into a near by trash can and walked over to Peters table.

"Well look who it is." Felix chuckled.
"Can it Felix, and feel lucky that I am not here for you." I snapped. "Your time is coming though after your camera work yesterday but I have more important things to deal with right now." I said and glared at Peter.
"Ooooh. Chills." Peter smirked. "What can I do for you Blaire?"
"Yesterday, when I told you to fuck off and leave Wendy alone, it wasn't just for yesterday. I meant fuck off and leave her alone." I said and set my backpack down and pushed up the sleeves of my jacket.
"Oh. I see, so you're here to threaten me some more. How incredibly boring." Peter yawned. "I expected more from you Blaire. I mean your father murdered your mother in cold blood. Shot her right in the head."
I flinched at his words and he stood up picking up on the temporary weakness. My temper was flaring to heights It had never reached before. I was seeing red. Months of pent up anger boiling over the top, and there would be nothing to stop it. My fight or flight was kicking in, and flight no longer seemed like a suitable option.
Fight it is.
"One would think.. That its just in your blood but thats not what I see when I look in your eyes. All I see when I look at you is a frightened little gi-"
I grabbed Peters hand and twisted his arm behind his back. My other hand tangled into his hair and I slammed his face straight into the cafeteria table. The other boys at the table all scooted their chairs back and stood up.

"Hows this for boring Peter?" I snarled and lifted his head and slammed it back down. He cried out in pain. I yanked him back up by his hair.
"Since I was not clear the first time. Let me make it crystal to you. If you put your hands on Wendy Darling, Or Anyone, boy, girl, or alien, I will break off your fucking fingers and hand them out as trophys to everyone you've ever bothered. And when I run out of fingers I'm coming back for other parts." I growled and pushed his face back into the table. "Am I clear now Peter?"
"Yes!" Peter cried but it was muffled.

------------------------------------------------------------

Killian

There was a sudden uproar in the cafeteria that disturbed my lunch with Milah. Not that I truly minded, her unannounced arrival on my lunch was odd, and something just felt not right about it. She hadn't come to visit me for lunch in a couple years.
"What do you think is going on out there?" Milah asked.
"I don't know..I'm going to find out. Thanks for lunch." I said.
"Of course." Milah smiled and leaned in and kissed me before standing up. Oddly enough something just felt wrong about that too. We were married..that shouldn't have felt that way. "See you at home." She winked.
"Aye.." I nodded and stood up and left the classroom to see, August, Liam, and a couple other teachers running towards the cafeteria.
"What the bloody hell is going on in there?" I asked.
"Something about Miss Nolan and a fight." Liam sighed.
"Emma?" I asked.
"No, Blaire." Liam said.

"Bloody hell." I said and took off towards the cafeteria. What I found when I arrived, wasn't much of a fight. However Blaire was making a bloody mess of Peter Malcoms face on a cafeteria table. Literally. She let go of his hair and Will pulled her away from him. Peter stood up with his hand over his bloodied nose.
"You feel better?" Will asked her.
"No." She said and broke away from Will. She strode back over to Peter, reared back her fist and punched Peter so hard right between his eyes, I swore she could have knocked his head off his shoulders.
Where the hell did she learn to hit like that?
"Now I feel better." She mumbled watching Peter fall backwards. Ruffio caught him before he hit the floor. She turned around and her eyes locked on mine.
"Are you just going to stand there Killian?" Liam sighed and hurried over to check on Peter.

I walked over to Blaire.
"Come with me." I said. She picked up her backpack off the floor and slung it over her shoulder before following me out of the cafeteria.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"I'm fine. You should probably go help Liam check on Peter.. Maybe call an ambulance." Blaire shrugged.
"There are other teachers in there. Someone had to escort you to the office."
"OH I knew thats where I was going. I could have escorted myself." Blaire said.
"Is this about the video? Because it was taken down, and the person who posted it, who wasn't Peter, but Felix has Saturday school for the rest of the semester."
"No Killian its not about the video." Blaire replied.
"Mr. Jones here." I corrected her. She rolled her eyes.
"Did you have a nice lunch with Milah?" She asked there was bitterness in her tone that did not go undetected.
"I'm not sure what that has to do with the current situation, stop deflecting." I sighed.
"Are you a shrink in your spare time or something?" Blaire asked.
"I Dabbled in psychology, but no." I chuckled and looked at her hand. Her knuckles were bruising, and two of them were bleeding.
"I'll take you to the nurse to get that looked at before we go see Mills." I said.
"Don't worry about it. The nurse is probably busy with Peter and his well deserved concussion." Blaire smirked

I stopped and turned around.
"What exactly happened in there Blaire, i've seen high school fights and that was nothing like I've seen. You didn't even look like you. You were so angry."
"Peter followed Wendy into the bathroom and tried to assault her. Wendy was just going to let it go. Me? I can't let that go. The last thing this school needs is some sick fucker walking around thinking he's invincible because his parents have money. Wendy's quiet...and it was my absolute pleasure to be her voice." Blaire shrugged but there was an unmistakable pain in her eyes, that was heart shattering. Someone had hurt her. There was no way that amount of rage was just for Wendy.

"Blaire?" Mary-Margaret said as she hurried down the hallway to us. "What's going on? What happened? I saw Peter and when they said you did it and I couldn't find you, I was worried." She frowned.
"I'm fine." Blaire said. "Mr. Jones was escorting me to the office.."
"I can take it from here Killian. Thank you." Mary-Margaret said.
"No problem. Her hand may need to be looked at, she said its fine, but that's likely all the adrenaline." I said.
"We will get it taken care of." Mary-Margarat nodded and took Blaire to the office.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blaire

I sat in the office. After hearing how badly Peter was injured. Mrs. Mills had contacted David, so we could all chat together, in her words. David walked into the office and looked at me and sighed.
"Well?" He asked. "What landed you here? Mills wouldn't tell me over the phone. Just that it was urgent. Did they catch you smoking?"
"No, but you'll probably wish it were just that." I mumbled.
Mrs. Mills walked out of her office.
"Mr. Nolan, Blaire, come in." She said. I sighed and stood up and followed David into the office and we sat down.
"So what exactly happened?" David asked.
"Well, there was an...altercation between Blaire and another student in the cafeteria." Mrs. Mills said.

I chuckled at the word altercation. That was putting it mildly.
David turned and glared sternly at me. David might have been a huge teddy bear compared to my Dad, but given they were identical twins the look was very much the same.
"Sorry." I mumbled.
"When you say altercation..what exactly do you mean?" David asked.
"I mean, I have one student, currently being treated at the emergency room, for a broken nose. And severe bruising on the rest of his face." Mrs. Mills said and laced her fingers together on her desk.
"And you think Blaire did all that?" David asked.
"I don't think Mr. Nolan. I know."
David looked at me, and I raised my bruised hand.
"And I'd do it again." I said. David put his head in his hands and groaned.
"Please tell me, the boys parents are not pressing charges."
"As far as I know they are not. That could change he's still being checked out."
"He'll be there a while." I said.
David looked at me again.
"Do you not understand how much trouble you could be in Blaire? We're talking possible assault charges here!" David snapped. "Over a facebook video?!"

"This has nothing to do with that stupid video!" I said defending myself. "If anyone should get assault charges its him!"
"What do you mean?" David asked.
"Its just hearsay." Mrs. Mills shook her head.
"Well I'd like to hear her side too." David said.
"Peter followed Wendy into the girls bathroom and tried to put his hands up her skirt. She wasn't going to say anything. So I did...with my fist."
"And that is why you're being suspended for the rest of the week Miss Nolan." Mrs. Mills said.
"Now wait a minute.." David said. "I agree Blaire probably handled it the wrong way, but if this boy tried to assault a female student, what happens to him?"
"Mr. Nolan, your niece struck and severely injured a student over hearsay. Thats all it was."
"Are you suggesting Blaire is lying Cora?" David challenged.
"Not Blaire exactly. Blaire is likely unfortunately caught in the crossfires in an ongoing battle between Wendy Darling and Peter Malcom. Things have been said about this situation, that also turned out false. Wendy was likely crying wolf. I cannot, and will not, punish Peter Malcom over hearsay."

It occured to me, then why Wendy was just willing to let it go, because no one believed her until me. How many times had this happened to her?
"I saw..his disgusting finger prints on her thighs. They were turning into bruises. I saw, the tears, and I saw the pain and the fear all over her face and there is no faking that. How the hell can you let this happen repeatedly and brush it under the rug? How much money are you making off his parents to keep him from catching a charge?" I demanded.

"Miss Nolan-"
"Say hearsay one more fucking time. I dare you. I still have one good hand and it hits just as hard as the other." I snapped and stood up. David stood up and held me back.
"You're done in here. Go wait in the car for me." David said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I have a lot of yelling to do and I'd rather you didn't see it. Go wait in the car. I'll be out shortly." David said.
"Fine. But let me say one more thing. You protecting this creep, makes you no different than he is. You're supposed to make this school safe for everyone. Not just those who can afford your protection. How the hell do you sleep at night?" I scoffed at Mrs. Mills before I walked out of the office.
"Blaire..." David said.
