PART-8

    "Bob... "

"Ethan... you came to the party?" Bob's skeletal grin seems off, his bony fingers gesturing him to take a seat beside him.

"Are you sad about your appearance?" Ethan asks, placing a hand around Bob's bony shoulder.

Bob shakes his head. His empty eyes sockets glinting with amusement. "Ahh, no. We're ghosts, not human."

He cracks a dry laugh. "It's just... the Keeper's tightened the security more than usual, and I'm itiching to slip into the human world."

Ethan's expression twisted in disdain. "And I thought it's something serious. Anyway, I also wanna go to the human world... and meet my family."

Bob's gaze lingers on Ethan, his skull frkzen in perpetual grin. "What?" Ethan asks, feeling awkward.

"Did I say something about the security?" Bob's voice is laced with sarcasm.

"Yes, you did. So?" Ethan asks, confused.

"When will you shed that human demeanor, newbie?" Bob's voice comes out frustrated.

"If you despise human that much, why do you wanna go to their world."

"To have fun. It's Halloween, and I wanna enjoy it." Bob says shrugs, his bony shoulder rising.

As they flew the ghostly security, Ethan struggles to keep up with Bob's frantic pace.

"Bob, slow down! I don't know how to... do whatever it is we're doing," Ethan pleads.

Bob glances back, his skeletal face tense. "Just follow me, newbie! We need to lose them."

Ethan concentrated on mimicking Bob's movements, but his ghostly form stumbles.

"What's wrong?" Bob asks as Ethan halts.

"I don't know! I've never done this before," Ethan admits.

Bob graspes Ethan's hand, pulling him through a narrow corridor.

    "Trust me," Bob whispers.

They weave through twisting hallways, dodging ghostly guards.

Ethan's inexperience hinders their escape, but Bob's guidance keep them one step ahead.

Suddenly, a ghostly security guard materializes, blocking their path.

    "Halt, ghostly fugitives!" he booms.

Bob swiftly transforms into a convincing coat rack.

    Ethan stares, bewildered.

"Method acting, newbie! Play along," Bob-whispers.

Ethan looks back and forth at guard and then at Bob. "H-how?"

"Just think of the thing you wanna be with concentration.

Ethan nods and hastily morphs into a dusty old vase.

    The guard scrutinizes them, confused.

"Hmm... I could swear I saw two ghosts here..."

Bob-vase whispers, "Pretend you're ceramic, Ethan."

    Ethan-vase stiffens, suppressing giggles.

The guard shakes his head, muttering, "Must be the Halloween spirits..." and vanishes.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Bob transforms back.

    "That was close!" Bob chuckles.

Ethan returns to his more-human-less-ghostly form.

"Thanks for helping me back there," Ethan says with gratitude.

Bob grins. "No problem, newbie. Now, let's get to the human world!"

Together, they step through the doorway and into the human world.

                         👻👻👻👻👻👻👻

The cool autumn air envelopes them, fills with the sweet scent of pumpkin spice and the distant chatter of trick-or-treaters.

    Ethan's eyes sparkles. "Ahh! Nostalgia!"

Bob grins. "Welcome to Halloween, newbie. Where the living are the real horror show."
