Flower Power

"April." I turned around, and behind me was Sophie.

"Sophie!" I smiled and ran to her. "Are you ok?" I asked, kneeling down to be eye level with her.

"No. You said you were a guardian. You said you were going to protect me."

"I am Sophie, I will. I won't let anybody hurt you, ok?"

"It's too late for that! I'm all alone, April. Everything is dark. Everything is p-"

"No, no, no, Sophie, your not alone, I'm here, and it doesn't have to be dark. Watch, watch this." I opened my palm up, and a golden glow formed in it. I focused on it, really hard. I was weak, and it was faint, but Sophie needed it. It went out.

"April, I'm scared. They got Jamie, what if they come for me?" Something reached out, and grabbed Sophie. Something dark, something....pitch black. "April!" I heard her scream

"Sophie!" I flew after her, but before I could reach her...I woke up.

Waking up in the middle of a battle between Pitch and Jack is really quite scary, especially when you have to pretend you're still knocked out so you can use the element of surprise.

Whoa, this is intense. Whatever Pitch did, Jack is mad. Wow.

They were so into it, I created a highly poisonous flower that could kill you just by looking at it, and they didn't even notice. I aimed, careful not to hit Jack, and threw it.

It hit Pitch right in the face.

Pitch pulled it off, which was hard because it had suction cup things on it...that were poisonous.

"You're a clever little girl, aren't you?" he snarled, "But do you honestly believe a flower could hurt me?"

"Yes." I said. He laughed, then the poison set in. "Because it's poisonous."

He stood there screaming for a good five minutes, his face bubbling. "Jack, freeze him. His screams are annoying." Jack shrugged, froze him, and walked over to me.

"That was pretty cool." He said, sitting down next to me.

"Thanks." I smiled. "You guys were fighting pretty hard. Do you usually do that?"

"We've done that before. Once." I nodded as he drew swirls on the ground with ice.

I wanted to ask about the biggest fear thing, but decided now wasn't the time.

"We should get the others and decide what to do with this thing before the ice melts off." I spoke up after a few minutes.

"Yeah. I'll stay here with Pitch, in case the ice melts."

"Ok. Where do you suppose they went?" I stood up and walked over to the tracks, observing them for no reason.

"Probably into Bunny's tunnels. I doubt they would've gone to the Palace."

"How do you get to the tunnels?" I turned around to face Jack.

"You can't honestly expect me to know the answer to that, can you?" he laughed slightly, causing that stupid butterfly thing again. "I mean, you're Bunny's best friend. He hates me."

"Oh, he doesn't hate you. He just doesn't like you." Jack laughed, and stood up.

"Well, how are we supposed to get to them?"

I shrugged, "Beats me. They wouldn't go there if we couldn't figure out how to find them, would they?"

"No, I guess you're right." He walked over to Pitch, and looked at him up close. "He's kind of creepy with all those bubbles on his face."

"Yeah, I wouldn't go near that if I were you." Jack backed away from Pitch, a bit frightened.

I laughed and looked over towards the palace. It was amazing how you could see it from here. It looked small, but you could just barely make out... the sleigh!

"Jack, they're at the palace! I'm going over there." I flew up and flew over there, as fast as I could. About halfway there, I slowed down a bit, and thought about everything. Pitch was right. I am a bit naive. I didn't notice what was going on around me, I didn't even notice the subtle signs of falling in love. I shook my head and sped up again, landing at the palace a few minutes later.

As soon as I landed, the baby teeth surrounded me.

"April!" Tooth flew over to me. "Girls, calm down." the baby teeth quieted a bit, moving out so I could breathe. "What happened?" She asked, speaking for everyone.

"Pitch is frozen. We don't know what to do with him."

"We should anchor him down in the ocean?" Bunny deciphered from Sandy, causing him to nod.

I winced, "I kinda, sorta, maybe...poisoned him a bit...the ocean wouldn't be a good place for him."

"We could bury him in Antarctica!" North spoke up. We all exchanged glances, shrugged, and agreed.

We all jumped on the sleigh, and flew off towards North's workshop.

"Whoa, awesome!" I stood up on the back of the sleigh, with my hands out, letting the cool air hit my face and go through my hair.

"Glad you like it!" Bunny hid down on the seat, very scared.

"Everyone loves the sleigh!" North boomed from the front.

"Speak for yourself!" Bunny yelled over the wind. I chuckled slightly. You'd think Bunny would be fearless, but he's a rabbit, and rabbits prefer underground to being in the air.

"Relax, Bunny! You'll be okay!" I closed my eyes and smiled.

"Prepare for landing!" North shouted. I jumped down into my seat and looked over at Bunny, whose eyes were glued shut and was holding onto the sleigh for dear life. I chuckled and rolled my eyes playfully.

We landed to find Jack had made it snow about a foot.

"What?" Jack noticed us all looking at him. "I got bored. What'd you expect me to do?"

"Nothing less." I commented, jumping out. The second my feet hit the snow, it all melted.

"Hey!" Jack whined like a five year old. No doubt, just to annoy me.

"Oh shut up." I shoved him by the shoulder on my way to Pitch. "Still creepy."

"What did you do to him?" Tooth flew over, observing his face.

"Like I said, I poisoned him." I slightly smiled, proud of myself.

"How?" she poked the ice, causing Pitch to almost fall.

"Don't underestimate flower power. Now, we should get this dealt with before it melts." Everyone agreed, and started discussing how to transport it. Sandy, to be honest, had the best idea. But everyone ignored him, like usual. Except me.

"Hey guys! Sandy's got an idea!" I spoke up over everyone, grabbing their attention. Sandy smiled at me before lifted Pitch with his sand and placed him carefully into the sleigh.

"That's one way." Bunny said, before reluctantly climbing in, sitting next to Pitch. Tooth jumped in the back, with Sandy climbing in next to her. I went to go climb on the back, when Jack grabbed my elbow.

"Fly with me there. I want to ask you something." he whispered in my ear, causing chills all down my body. Not because it was creepy or anything, but because he's Jack Frost. He used a head gesture telling North to go, which must've looked pretty weird to everyone else.

We waited a few minutes to give them a head start before Jack grabbed my hand (another stupid butterfly thing) and we flew off.
