Ch. 1 - Ex-friends

Tord's POV:

I stood in front of a group of only my elite soldiers, a large white board hanging next to me. My face showed no emotions as I showed them my sketch of how we would conquer the Blue Army. I pointed at the board with my robotic arm as I spoke.

"First, Patryk and Paul, you will stay near me and approach the leader. Without the leader, the army is done for. As our army sweeps through the Blue's, you higher-ups will work at the front. Make sure to get any snipers." I instructed, moving my index finger across the board. The soldiers stayed silent and nodded when I looked at them. I moved my body to face them. "Any questions?" I said simply, standing tall.

Paul shook his head and a few others did the same. "Alright, alert the other soldiers." I added, trudging out of the room and heading towards my own. It still felt weird to live in the base, but it had to be done. 'After the Blue army is done for, we should take on the Green army.' I thought to myself, looking around the white halls. I soon got to my room, and I placed my hand on the red door. I felt its texture for a moment as I thought about more tactics for the battle.

'I could make a few gadgets, just for the fun of it...' I finally opened my door and went in, shutting he door behind me. I went over to my window and looked out of it, setting my normal hand and robotic hand on the windowsill. It was calming to just stare out for a long while. I cracked a small smile and sighed as I continued to gaze out.

After a few moments, I turned my head to look at my soldiers. Two stood at the entrance to the base with AK-47s in their hands, alert and ready to shoot if needed. A small group of soldiers exited, possibly to spy on the Blue Army's base for more information. My mind drifted off to Matt, Edd and Tom. I frowned and sat down next to my window as I thought about them.

'They're probably happy that I'm gone... I don't need friends anyway. That failure just showed that I need to work harder.' I stood up, turning away from the window. I walked over to my closet and took my M-14 and AK-47 out, my index finger caressing them gently. I took them with me as I left my room and headed over to the shooting range.

I passed by Patryk, who looked in my direction. I didn't return the glance, and I soon entered the shooting range. I put my M-14 down and pointed my AK-47 at the targets after making sure that it was fully loaded. I shot right into the center of the target and smirked triumphantly. I'm happy to keep my one-shot legacy for as long as I can. I shot into the center of another target, already feeling better than before.

I definitely don't care about Edd, Matt, and Tom anymore, right? I shook my head and continued shooting. I took a cigar out of my pocket and cut the edge off, getting a small lighter out and lighting it. I kept it in my mouth, the smoke swirling out of it. I soon replaced my AK-47 with my M-14 and started to shoot with that one.

After a bit, I was interrupted by Patryk entering the room. I ceased to shoot and turned to face him. "Permission to speak, Red Leader sir?" He asked, avoiding the smoke from my cigar. I took it out of my mouth for a moment. "Permission granted." "Have you been... alright?" I was taken aback by his question, but I tried not to show it.

"I'm fine... why do you ask?" I asked, wondering how he could see through me. "Well... you've been in here a lot... and you've been attacking other lands like never before. Especially after the... incident." I almost instantly made an angered look at him after he reminded me of... that. "Sir, you should take a break or something. Paul and I are worried about you... so... please..." Patryk looked down, not making eye-to-eye contact with me. I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed, looking at my options.

'Maybe I do still care about them...' "Okay, I think I have a way to fix this. Would you and Paul like to go to the nearest coffee shop with me? It might help me relax." I suggested, trying to hide my emotions again. I hate to show my emotions, so I bury them away within myself when others are around. Patryk looked back at me and nodded, smiling.

"Okay, I'll be sure to tell him!" Patryk said, waving before leaving me alone again. I placed the cigar back into my mouth. "Tch. I'm completely fine." I mumbled, gazing at the remaining targets. I started shooting again as I created new gadget ideas in my head. After an hour more of this, I left the shooting range and came into my room. I read hentai for a long while before working on the gadgets that I decided on making.

"Maybe I'll tell Paul and Patryk that we'll go at 8 a.m." I muttered to myself, slamming a hammer onto a small nail. I inspected my device while I painted my logo on it. The memory of punching Matt disturbed me, making me tense up. I shook my head and put the finished product down on a small table. I sat on my bed and rested my elbows on my legs, placing my head in my hands.

I remembered how Matt and Edd reacted to their house and belongings bursting into ashes in front of them. My breath hitched as tears pricked my eyes. 'I don't care... I don't...' I remembered the bruise that I left on Matt's eye after punching him. I remembered when Edd and Matt both trusted me after I came back into their lives.

I held my tears back and laid down onto the bed, closing my eyes. I yawned and forgot to change out of my uniform. I felt myself go limp as I fell asleep.

I opened my eyes and looked around, seeing that I was sitting on one of the couches that I had created. Matt and Edd sat next to me and Tom sat in a separate chair. I gazed at Matt, looking at where I had previously punched him. There was no mark, making me smile and calm down. Edd and Tom stared at the T.V. and Matt looked at me. I realized that I was staring, so I blushed from embarrassment and looked away.

"What're you thinking about, Tord?" Matt asked, smiling at me. I peeked at him and my blush faded away. "Oh, nothing. It doesn't matter." I said, my accent being very rich during this point in time. Matt put a hand on my shoulder and I shivered. "Are you sure?" "Yes, I'm fine." I assured, putting my hand on his and patting it lightly. 'I... like this dream...'

"Okay... if you say so. Do you wanna go to the park? This movie is kinda boring." Matt suggested, taking his hand away from me and looking away. "That sounds like fun, Matt." I answered. The setting of my dream suddenly shifted and changed into a grassy hill. Matt sat down on the hill and looked up at the night sky. I sat down next to him and did the same. After a long pause, Matt looked at me and broke the silence.

"I... do you... maybe wanna... u-uhm..." Matt stuttered, blushing softly. I tilted my head from confusion. 'Is this dream trying to tell me something?' Matt leaned closer to me and placed a hand on my shoulder, his head in front of mine. I blushed and my arms squeezed onto my sides. 'Nevermind, this dream is just doing weird shit.'

Matt looked at my lips and back into my eyes, his face coming closer. I still was unsure about what Matt was doing, but I finally understood when he closed his eyes. Before our lips could connect, everything went black.

I woke up and fell off of my bed, grunting after hitting the ground. I groaned and put a hand on my forehead, feeling my cheeks burn. "What the fuck was that?!" I shouted, making a disgusted face. I heard fast footsteps reach my room and I heard a knock on my door. "You may enter..." I announced and sat up. I quickly stood up and brushed myself off as Paul entered my room.

"I heard you yell... are you doing okay?" Paul looked at me, probably noticing my blush. I avoided eye-to-eye contact with him. "Yes. I'm fine. Are you ready to go get coffee?" I said, changing the subject. 'Why is everyone worried about me... am I that obvious? Also... why did Matt do that...' I was taken out of my thoughts by Paul's response.

"I'm ready. Let me get Pat." He said and left my room. I kept imagining my dream as I awaited Paul's arrival. 'I don't even like Matt! I'm not even gay-' Patryk and Paul entered the room. I made a blank face and my blush started to fade. I brought my hands behind my back and exited the room, passing by the pair.

They caught up with me and I left the base, entering a red car. I sat in the back seat as Paul and Patryk sat in the front, the car zooming off to the coffee shop. I rested my head against the window and continued to think about my dream. 'My dream was weird because my head is stupid, that's all. I don't have feelings for Matt- I don't have feelings for anyone. Matt isn't even my friend. He hates me and I ruined his life.'

I wiped my eyes and made sure that nobody saw me act like that. I was spotted, to my dismay. "Are you sure that everything's fine?" Paul interrogated. I nodded and stayed silent, not wanting to answer that question for the hundredth time. Patryk sighed loudly and put the car in park, looking at Paul. Paul shrugged and I left the car, not wanting to deal with that right now. I entered the shop and the lady at the counter looked at me fearfully.

There was a T.V. on the wall, and it showed footage of the Yellow base after it was destroyed. It showed a picture of me next to my logo, and I looked back at the woman at the counter. "I'll just have plain, black coffee." I said, grabbing my wallet out from my pocket. I was not fazed by the news, not at all. The lady silently rushed to get me my order, probably thinking that I'd shoot her if she works too slow. I noticed that I was still in my uniform, and I sighed.

'I guess I'll just have to hope that the police won't show up...' Patryk and Paul entered the coffee shop with their uniforms on. "Sir, we forgot the disguises. We'll have to leave quickly if we don't want any trouble." Paul told me in a hushed voice. I nodded and looked at my nails, showing that I didn't care. I have a spare gun in my uniform that I keep for safety reasons. The lady handed me my coffee and I sat down at a small table as I waited for Patryk and Paul.

I heard someone enter and gasp. I looked towards the noise and the color left my face. Edd, Matt, and Tom stared at me, gawking. I sipped my coffee and stood up, looking at the exit. "Paul, Patryk, meet me at the car." I said coldly, speed-walking past my ex-friends. I felt their stares as I left the building, going to the car and getting inside. My breathing became quick and I put my hands on my head.

'Will I ever escape this horrible nightmare?'
