Nya drummed her fingers on the door impatiently, glancing nervously around herself for any signs of people.

"Hang on, just a sec," Skylor said, hurriedly rummaging through her purse, "Aha, got them!"

She pulled out her car keys triumphantly and the two girls hurried out of the building so that nobody from the video game room would come and sabotage their mission before it started.

"Nice, nice, I can't remember the last time I've been in a car with a roof," Nya joked, pressing various buttons to adjust her seat.

Skylor grinned, her eyes on the road. "Was that a flex or a compliment?"

"Hmm, you could say both," the raven replied, leaning back in the chair with a content smile on her face, "Ah, I can't remember the last time we got to be alone without any of the guys interrupting for two seconds. They can be... I dunno, so annoying sometimes."

"For real," Skylor agreed with a small chuckle, remembering how the last time she and Nya tried to go shopping just so they could be normal girls for once, the others had to tag along and poke fun at the fact that they wanted to buy something as simple as clothes. Like what was wrong with that? Skylor was definitely not okay with wearing the exact same five t-shirts and jeans every day.

The mall complex was located just a few blocks away from Borg Tower in downtown Ninjago City, and because of the space limitations, the parking lot was built underground. After parking the car as close to one of the elevators as they could, the girls hurried out and went upstairs, their credit cards in hand.

"Where shall we go first?" Nya asked, her eyes glowing as she looked around at the dozens of stores with their large logos and bright window displays lining the promenade.

"Let's go―"

"To Sportz X-treme? Hard agree, they got these awesome new skateboards," a male voice said from behind them.

Skylor and Nya turned around, only to see their boyfriends standing right there with giant grins on their faces.

"I believe you weren't invited?" the raven asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Jay gasped and put a hand over his heart. "Nya, I thought you loved me!"

"Don't you have better things to do?" Skylor questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Nope," Kai replied, throwing his arm over her shoulder, "And besides, I figured you'd miss seeing this gorgeous face."

"Ew," Nya remarked, glaring at her brother, "I don't know how you put up with him, Sky."

She sighed, suppressing an eye roll. "You're not the only one who wonders."

"Excuse me?" Kai said indignantly, and Jay laughed.

"Ha, see, nobody gets tired of me," he said proudly.

"That's where you're wrong," Nya teased, sending a punch into his shoulder.

"Okay, just to make things clear," Skylor said, pushing Kai's arm away, "We're shopping for clothes, whether you like it or not. Either come along and shut up or go off and do your own thing, how does that sound?"

"Whaat?" Kai asked.

"That's why we didn't invite you," Nya pointed out.

"Sure," Jay said.

Kai groaned.
