For convenience purposes, Arima is living with Haise here. Rather than the Qs.

I have trouble sleeping. It's not insomnia. I don't have trouble falling asleep, and it's not natural..

It's because HE wakes me up.

"Haise, accept me.." my eyes widened as he took form.

"No!" I rolled over to my side, whimpering.

"Accept me, Haise.."

"Jigou!"

Don't.. Don't hurt me..

I'll never accept a monster like you!!

"Haise?"

I peeked. I hadn't even realized Dad had entered..

"Dad-" I tried to reach for him, but that guy grabbed me. One arm was around my waist while the other hand entwined with mine, moving it to my stomach. I pleaded with my eyes at Dad as his free hand wandered up me. He gripped the other arm tighter against my stomach to make up for the loss.

".. Haise, try and sleep. You may be an adult, but that doesn't mean you don't need to sleep. Go to bed."

"Da-"

"You heard him, Haise," the guy laid down, bringing me down with him.

"Good night, Haise." I stared as Dad left the room.

The boy stopped in his tracks. His eyes went hard.

"NO!!" he swung down the quinque. His eyes watched the ghoul escape, "I'm Haise Sasaki!" he swung the quinque at the ghoul.

His partner watched, also trying to kill the ghoul.

Haise was having another episode.

Arima had taken the young adult to a doctor, and they found out he was hallucinating, thinking there was someone there when there wasn't.

It hadn't gotten into their work before, but..

Arima tried to cover the inadvantage of Haise's altered focus, but the ghoul had noticed that Haise was distracted.

And attempted to use that to his advantage.

His kagune lunged for Haise, and Arima wasn't able to act quick enough, never mind Haise.

"I won't accept you, you monster!!"

".. Guh!" Haise coughed up blood.

"Haise!!"

'You need me, Haise.. Just be a good boy and accept me already..'

Haise fought desperately in his mind, physical pain the least of his worries.

Arima made the decision to take Haise and flee the scene.
