After they returned to Mount Flash, Flash, Ice Maiden, Vibe, Celestial and Cyclone were standing in front of their new guest, all of them keeping their masks on, since none of them trusted her enough to let her know who they really were. Assuming she didn't already know, considering she claimed to be from the future. Just like Thawne.

"Damn, this place is so crash in a totally retro way. It's nice to see it while it's still intact." Silver Bolt said as she looked around.

"What do you mean intact?" Vibe asked.

"In my time, this place is nothing more than a crater in the ground. One of Eobard Thawne's policies to remove all remnants and reminders of his greatest enemy, The Flash." Silver Bolt said.

"I'm sorry, you're gonna need to back up. Starting with who you really are and why you're here." Flash said.

"Right, sorry." Silver Bolt said as she tapped her watch and her suit retracted into it, revealing some kind of jumpsuit that had Thawne's insignia on the shoulders.

"Is that Thawne's symbol?" Cyclone asked.

"Yeah, but I don't wear it by choice. Thawne makes everyone in my class wear these things. I hate it. My name's Nova by the way. Nova Beretta." Nova said.

"Well, that definitely sounds like a name from the future." Vibe said.

"Yeah, but what's this about Thawne taking over in your time?" Flash asked.

"Thawne's the most powerful metahuman in my time and he used his speed to enslave the entire planet." Nova said.

"How'd he pull that off? Aren't there other metahumans, plus aliens and things like that?" Vibe asked.

"He equipped his troopers with technology designed with reactive adaptation technology." Nova said.

"Reactive adaptation?" Cyclone asked as Nova brought up a hologram of the armor Thawne's troops wore.

"The lenses in the helmet scan the opponent to determine their powers and reprogram the technology in the suit to replicate those abilities. Allowing the troops to use the metas and aliens' own powers against them. The only reason I haven't been caught is because the only kind of powers it can't react to is speedsters and Thawne did that specifically to prevent anyone from being able to use his own tech against him. Fortunately, that glitch also means that their reactive adaptation technology doesn't work against me either. But they've still got more numbers and all the other powers they've scanned." Nova said as Vibe took a look at the plans.

"Damn. This tech is beyond anything I've ever seen." Vibe said.

"And it makes sense that Thawne would make sure that he's the only one it can't be used against, but I'm guessing that when he designed the tech, you didn't have your powers yet? Otherwise he likely would've made the restriction a little more exclusive." Flash said.

"Yeah. But anyways, I'm here because even though I have the powers of the Flash, I don't really know how to use them. Or that's one of the reasons." Nova said.

"What are the other reasons?" Ice Maiden asked.

"Thawne's planning on returning to this time and not alone. He's planning to bring his army here so that he can rewrite history and erase the Flash from it forever." Nova said.

"And we'll be ready for it." Barry said.

"Should we take the fight to Thawne in his time when he's not expecting it, since you can time travel too?" Celestial asked Flash.

"Face Thawne and his whole army on his turf where he has home field advantage and an empire behind him? No way. Smarter to let him come to us with more limited numbers. Besides, we can't leave our time unprotected." Flash said.

"Plus, there are speedster sensors in place all over Thawne's capital city. The only reason I was able to get around them was because I had a friend in Thawne's inner circle who sabotaged them to not be able to detect my speed force signature." Nova said.

"Who?" Flash asked.

"I'll show you." Nova said as she tapped a few things on her arm gauntlet and it projected a message of her friend, Erikson Thawne.

"Nova, if you're playing this message, then that means that I wasn't able to make the trip back to the past with you, but it does mean that you've made it yourself, which is more important, since you're the one who has the real target on your back." Erikson said.

"Who's this guy?" Ice Maiden asked.

"Meet my best friend and only ally, Erikson Thawne, first born son of Eobard Thawne, but Erikson is nothing like his father. He's the brains of my operation." Nova said.

"Flash, if you're watching this, then that means that my father is planning to bring his army back to your time. I sent Nova back in time not only to warn you to be ready, but also so you can train her. The time sphere I sent her back in was only good for one trip. She won't be able to come home until she learns to time travel without it and you're the only one who can teach her. Inside the sphere is what your time calls a flash drive and it contains all the information needed to help Nova blend in without drawing suspicion. Please, stop my father before any more innocent people have to die. You're the only hope we have at changing the future to one where my father doesn't terrorize the world." Erikson said as the message cut out.

"What happened to him?" Vibe asked.

"His father's shock troopers stormed into our base right as we were getting ready to leave. He sacrificed himself to allow me to escape. If I had to guess, he'll be sent to the cobalt mines." Nova said.

"Cobalt mines?" Celestial asked.

"It's the place Thawne sends the worst prisoners. To mine cobalt, the element he uses to power his weapons. It's basically a death sentence." Nova said.

"Sounds like the spice mines of Kessel to me." Vibe said.

"Is now really the time?" Ice Maiden asked.

"I'm sorry, I don't understand that reference." Nova said, confused and Vibe looked horrified.

"Are you telling me that Star Wars doesn't exist in the future? Okay, as soon as you're settled in, I'm giving you an education on Star Wars and every other pop culture thing that Thawne most likely outlawed when he took over the world." Vibe said.

"Thank you." Nova said as Flash decided that he could trust her and removed his cowl.

"You can call me Barry. Barry Allen and after we get you settled in and Cisco here has finished your pop culture education, we'll start training and I'll teach you the ways of the speed force." Barry said as he held out his hand to Nova, who shook it.

"Welcome to Team Flash Silver Bolt." Barry said.

"Thank you. It's an honor and a dream come true to serve alongside one of history's greatest heroes." Nova said and Barry nodded.
