"Looks like I'm up." Barry said to Cisco and Caitlin.

"Are you sure? You've never fought anything that tough before." Caitlin asked.

"I have to try." Barry said, since this guy likely was a bit out of his league right now, that didn't mean that he was going to just call for help. He was the Flash and Central City was his home turf. He wasn't going to let anyone, especially some brute as big and ugly as this guy, push him around.

"Be careful. Iris just got back on her feet, I don't think you want to take her place in that chair." Caitlin said.

"Don't forget, I heal fast." Barry said as he ducked out before Caitlin could respond and he slid his Flash ring onto his hand and pressed the button on the emblem to activate and speed into his super suit before speeding back into being right in front of the beast.

"Alright ugly, what do you want?" Flash asked his new opponent, who just roared in his face and slobbering all over him.

"Okay, you seriously need a mint." Flash said, only be backhanded through the main wall to outside the facility with the creature roaring as it charged out after him.

"Damn, this bruiser packs a real punch." Flash groaned, grateful that his speed healing was already kicking in, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to get up like was now as he tried to figure out a strategy to deal with this guy when suddenly, the creature was hit from behind by what had to be an ice blast as his sister came walking out of the base, wearing her own super suit that Cisco had given her at the cave.

"Hey bro, need a hand?" Caitlin asked, since she hadn't picked a superhero name for herself yet.

"What should I call you?" Flash asked, since he assumed that Cisco had given her a name that she'd just decided to go with.

"Call me Ice Maiden." Ice Maiden said and Flash grinned.

"Catchy. Definitely has a nice to it. But are you sure you want to do this?" Flash asked.

"You're not the only one who looks good wearing one of these suits. Besides, I couldn't let you keep taking on the bad guys alone and I was getting sick of sitting on the sidelines." Ice Maiden said as she blasted the creature again.

"Any ideas on how we can take this bruiser down?" Flash asked her.

"Try and create a vortex around him. He may look tough, but I'm guessing this guy still needs to breathe. I'll keep him frozen in one place, you see if you can take him down that way." Ice Maiden said and Flash nodded, since that was as good an idea as any as he got to his feet as his sister kept trying to freeze this guy as he began to run around the creature in a small circle to keep the vortex contained and prevent it from affecting anyone else.

"Come on Barry, think fast, run fast." Flash said to himself as he kept trying to build up speed as he heard and felt the wind picking up as he ran, creating the desired vortex effect.

"Run, Barry, run." he heard a female voice that sounded familiar to him, since even though it had been years since Flash had heard that voice, he'd never forget it. The voice of his mother. But he didn't have time to think about that. Right now he needed to focus on keeping up this vortex up, especially since he could tell that it was working, since while Ice Maiden had halted her ice blasts to keep from accidentally hitting him and they weren't needed anymore anyways, since he could tell that this berserker was getting more and more exhausted with each attempted strike, since he was using up what little oxygen the vortex gave him and it wasn't long before he collapsed and Flash finally came to a stop and actually panted a bit, since that was the fastest he's gone yet.

And before he could react, Ice Maiden froze the creep solid.

"That was intense." Ice Maiden said as she walked over to her brother's side.

"Welcome to the life." Flash said.

"So, when can I join the Justice League?" Ice Maiden asked, only half joking.

"I'll bring it up at the next meeting." Flash promised, since Supergirl had established a routine of monthly meetings for the current members of the Justice League to keep it running properly, though so far, the topic of expanding their ranks further hadn't come up yet.

Their discussion was halted as the MPs came out, carrying what Flash recognized as an Argo Enterprises issued metahuman power dampening collar, which they quickly locked around the creature's neck.

"You saved the day again Flash." Kramer said as she walked up to him.

"Do you have any idea what this thing is?" Flash asked.

"When it first showed up, no, but now that I get an up close look at it, I think I know what it is. It's the result of one of General Eiling's failed projects to create super soldiers for the military. Project Blockbuster. It was shelved because the test subjects were too uncontrollable and we haven't found a way to reverse it." Kramer said.

"And you subjected this to other humans?" Ice Maiden asked in disgust.

"Eiling did and they were all volunteers who as far as I know were informed of the risks before they volunteered. Though it looks like Eiling tried to continue the project even after it was shut down." Kramer said.

"I think that the Justice League is going to need to take a more hands-on approach to the investigation into Eiling. Starting with either myself or another League member searching his office." Flash said in a tone that made it clear that this was not up for debate.

"Of course." Kramer said, more than willing to comply, since there's no way the government should risk it's standing with the Justice League.

Before Flash could respond, his earpiece went off.

"Excuse me." Flash said as he stepped away.

"Barr, please tell me you've got the creature under control." Joe said.

"He's taken into custody as we speak, why?" Flash asked.

"Because I think that he was a distraction, considering that I just got off the phone with Singh and according to him, while you were dealing with that creep, the man in yellow broke into Mercury Labs. I think you should meet me at the precinct immediately." Joe said.

"I'm on my way." Flash said, making a note to call Supergirl, since this might involve her too, knowing that Mercury Labs and Argo Enterprises had a few joint projects.

"We need to go." Flash said to Ice Maiden.

"What's going on?" Ice Maiden asked.

"I'll fill you in on the way. Brace yourself." Flash said as he wrapped his arm around Ice Maiden and sped both of them out of there.
