Everyone: HAPPY NEW YEAR

Finally a new year has started, 2022, a year that the world hopes is more gentle with all the people around the world, well that is surely what the guests in Aiden's party hope for but for now half of them are too drunk while the rest just is enjoying the moment except for a couple people who are in the  bathroom door and floor

Aiden: fuck Z I told you not to drink so much look at you, you are a mess

Zendaya: jeez thank you Aiden, this is brand news information to me so here is my thanks  go f-

She couldn't even finish the sentence before sticking her head right in the toilet and vomiting almost every bit of alcohol on her system while Aiden held her hair so she didn't puked in it too

Aiden: wanna finish that sentence?

Zendaya: no please stay I didn't mean it

Sydney: here is a bottle of water

Jacob: and some mint for the bad smell

Almost everyone who composed the cast of euphoria was in the door with obviously Tom who was right besides his girlfriend

Alexa: you should have listened to Aiden Z even if you hate it to admit it he was right you don't handle alcohol that well

Hunter: yeah next time please do listen to him so my shoes don't get puked on ever again

Zendaya couldn't even get her face out of the toilet and respond to them so she just flipped them off while the rest of the people there just chuckled to the reaction even Tom which made him gain a stare from Z that could send chills down the spine of Satan himself

Aiden: okay while I love hearing all this discourse being directed at her let's leave her alone for now tomorrow you can all laugh at her through the group chat, come on

Barbie: call us if she needs anything

Aiden: I will, don't worry now go enjoy the last bit of the party

They all left back to the backyard of Aiden's house where the party was taking place, leaving Aiden and Tom to deal with an angry and sick Zendaya who was now resting in the cold ceramic floor

Zendaya: ugh I hate my life right now

Tom: if you want I can grab some paper bags and we can go back home

Zendaya: just.... Let me rest a little I still feel like my head is gonna explode

Aiden: I really think you should go home Z, sleeping in your bed will help the headache not the floor

Zendaya: I will but you should go back to the party you are the host

Aiden: and I am also your best friend so I am staying until you decide to leave no matter what you say

Zendaya: go or I puke on you

Aiden: right on it ma'am

For the first since she got to the bathroom Zendaya laughs alongside Tom while Aiden escapes from the probability of getting puked on, when he gets down stairs he starts to say goodbyes to some people who are already leaving because they needed to get up early or were too drunk to continue

???: how is Zendaya feeling

He turned around to look at the person who was talking to him, his co-star Rachel zegler who was arguably looking like the most sober person in the party mostly because she is still 20 years old so Aiden prohibited her from drinking anything with alcohol with the promise that in her 21 birthday he will take her to drink her first beer and whatever the hell she wanted, she accepted but wasn't that thrilled about not drinking in a party

Aiden: well you know like anyone who has ever puked their guts out, like shit

Rachel: she really didn't handle that vodka very well did she?

Aiden: she is really stubborn but anyways let's change the subject how are you feeling about your nomination

Rachel: you mean the nomination from the golden globes for my first movie ever? I'm pretty chill about it

Aiden just arched his eyebrows to the clearly sarcastic response of Rachel while she just played it off until she just couldn't hold it in anymore starting to jump off excitement

Rachel: I'M NOMINATED IN THE GOLDEN GLOBES ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'M SO GODDAMN EXCITED

Aiden just laughed to the outburst of joy from Rachel while he reached to her to hug her

Aiden: you deserve it Rach really you did so well in there I'm still surprised they didn't nominate you to the Oscars

Rachel: oh you charmer you just saying that because you did get nominated

He did finally get nominated to the Oscars again since 2019 where he got nominated for best supporting actor for hereditary as Peter graham now he got nominated this time for best actor because of west side story people really liked him in the movie plus his chemistry with Rachel really highlighted both of them which make him think was being unfair by not nominating both to their respective categories

Aiden: no I'm not Rach you do deserve it and you know how I feel about you not getting nominated for the Oscar, it's bs of the highest level

Rachel: I know that and don't worry about it I just wished I could go to the ceremony

Aiden: yeah that boycott ruined it but don't worry we will be at your room waiting to see win that prize, I have already made a whole space in my schedule for it

Rachel: are you serious? Aiden no, you have more important stuff like media for your next movie

Aiden: hey, this is important too, I may see my friend win a golden globe for her first movie ever and also witness her reaction when she wins so I will be there no matter what

Rachel stayed silent looking at him, they met in 2019 when filming first started, Aiden was the first to approach Rachel as he tried to help her to fit in and they have been really close friends since then, Rachel will always be grateful for him helping her whenever she needed it, be it a acting problem, a agency and Hollywood problem or even a personal problem he is always there.

Rachel: thank you really, it means the world to me

As she says this she embraces him as deeply as she could, resting her head on his chest listening to his heartbeats with Aiden immediately hugging her back

Aiden: Always Rach always never doubt that okay? That is what friends are for

Rachel: it's funny, who would have thought one year I was watching you dance and sing with Hugh Jackman and Zendaya on the big screen and the next thing you know here I am  with you being my best friends?

Aiden: life does work in mysterious ways doesn't it?

He said while looking at the people who were left in the party he couldn't believe that 8 years ago he was just a 17 year old boy that spent his days watching movies and listening to music on his who was getting into his first movie ever and now was surrounded by friends who shared his love for movies and acting friends like Zendaya, Tom, Hugh and of course Rachel who, without Aiden noticing, had moved her head to look up to him and stare at him

Rachel: I'm thankful it does

The prologue, I have to admit I am just having fun with this fic while trying to figure out how to grow the relationship into a romantical one without it being messy as hell
It will mainly focus in Aiden's career and his  problems both in his personal and professional life so I can truly make the romance part good
