Michael let out a long, content sigh as he looked up at the full galaxy above him. He could see Luke from the side of his eyes doing the same.

"We are nothing," Luke said quietly. The taller boy had his hands on his stomach, clasped with each other.

Michael nodded. "We are honestly nothing compared to the galaxy we live in." He looked at the small stars that were actually much bigger than he ever expected. There was so much more out there than just their two bodies laying on the roof of Michael's house.

"I sometimes forget how peaceful things like this can be." Luke's voice stayed quiet and calming, it was a symphony matching the quiet hum of COIN off of Mike's phone. God, Luke was perfection in Mike's eyes.

"Like what?"

"Just sitting here. I feel like there is nothing bad that could ever happen just sitting here," he responded. He turned his head, looking at Michael.

Michael looked back, giving him a small smile.

Luke looked into his glassy green eyes, and he swore he could see a new star being formed in those hues. He could feel his heart beating faster, a usual odd occurrence around his friend.

Mike looked back up at the dark sky. "Everything feels okay right here."

"Do you come up here a lot?" Luke turned his body, his head resting on the palm of his hand as his elbow dug into the shingled roof.

The fringe-fastic boy nodded. "Almost every night. Is that weird?"

He laughed. "A little bit." He thought looking at Michael was much prettier than the stars above them will ever be.

Mike giggled when his friend didn't take his eyes off of him. "You're making me uncomfortable. In a good way, though." Michael turned his head, meeting the smiling blonde.

"You're the best friend I have ever had, I hope you know that," Luke marveled. He sat up, grabbing his shoes and sliding them back on his feet. "We should head in."

Michael took another breath. He's never brought someone up to his peaceful place, he doesn't think Luke understand how important this spot is to the boy. It's a place where he constantly feels safe. It's a place where all his worries drift far away.

He sat up, though, grabbing his shoes. He helped Luke down first, holding his hand tight as the skinny boy jumped back into Michael's bedroom. Mike climbed down next, making sure his feet were on the window sill before dropping his body down.

Luke was already stripping down, ready to collapse into bed. It was normal for the two boys to share a bed these nights. Neither minded their skin touching, their breaths on each others neck. Hell, they quite loved waking up with Luke's head on Mike's chest, but neither boy would admit such things.

Michael wished he had confidence. Just any confidence. He wishes he could strip off his shirt and climb into bed with Luke. He wishes he could plead his dire love. He wishes he could stop blushing as he watched the younger boy cozy himself in Michael's bed.

Michael turned off the over head light then bedside light before closing his bedroom door. He climbed into bed, fixing his pillow and getting comfortable.

The clock read 2:30, and both boys were exhausted from a long day at school (and climbing on a roof). Luke looked at the freckles on Michael's back peaking up from his loose tee shirt. Everything about him reminded Luke about the galaxy because Michael was Luke's world.

He could see Michael's body relax and his breath slow down. He was asleep, Luke thought.

His shirt was soft as Luke put his fingers on the top of Michael's spine just barely ghosting his index finger over the bone. He traced it down half way before running back up. He could feel the muscles and bones. Humans were amazing.

Luke's hand went over the bump of Michael's hipbone as he pulled him closer. His finger glided under the part where his shirt lay. He ran circles over the soft skin, not understanding how a human could be so warm and filled with such care. He radiated love, and Luke didn't understand how.
Michael was awake as Luke practically felt him up, but in a loving way. Is that weird? Probably.

Mike opened his eyes, looking at the slim hand resting on his hipbone. The tip of Luke's middle finger lay between his hip bone and belly so softly. Michael hoped Luke wouldn't move his hand even an inch. He'd then feel the layer of fat just kind of hanging over Michael's side. Wow, he hated his body.

Luke cuddled his nose in between Michael's shoulder blades, falling asleep comfortably. Michael wasn't able to sleep when there was a beautiful boy gripping onto his skin.
