Chapter 11. Speaking To A Ghost

"Welcome to my new house!" Natsu grinned as he opened the door. I waltz in with everyone behind me and watched. It was small but it was understandable in their position.

"Does you old mother know you're here?" Jellal asked as he pushed through us to get a better view.

"Let's not talk about her! Do you wanna come upstairs? Ma is out getting stuff with Wendy. Zeref is over at someone's house." Natsu explained.

"He's acting weird, you better go ask him about his mother. Better yet, go to his mother..."

I blinked a few times and looked around for a second. "Luce, are you okay? You look like something bit you or something." Natsu laughed.

"I heard someone say something..."

"Everyone had already gone upstairs, and I surely didn't say anything." Natsu calmed down.

"It must have been my imagination." I shook it off as we both fought our way upstairs.

I sat down next to him on his bed and watched the others fumble around with a few things. "Lucy, look! He has a camera!" Jellal pointed excitedly at the object. I forgot about this. He had this thing with this book he read about vampires.

About mirrors and photos.

He had ranted about being able to see himself in the mirror and how he could see himself in photos. He didn't understand why humans had been so 'stupid' to believe this. But, what can I say? He's offended.

He now likes to take photos and every now and again look in the mirror to prove a point. Levy asked Natsu to take a photo of us and we all sat on his bed. Natsu set a timer on his camera and came and sat next to me.

The flash went off and he went to check on it and showed us. My pale face from before was now filled with color. Everyone had grins on their faces and so did I. These were one of those rare photos you get in life. You had some selfies, some family photos, screenshots and others. But I never got a group photo of all of us.

"This is the perfect moment to bring up his mother, Lucy!"

"Can I have a copy of this? I want something to remind me of you lot if one of you lot die or something." I laughed.

"Sure thing. I'll give it to you at break tomorrow." Natsu smiled at me. The others crowded around as Natsu showed off the photo.

"Why won't you listen to me? Lucy, don't you want to get to know him more? You're like what he says, stubborn. Why do you have to be like this when I can finally contact you?"

I hissed in pain and grabbed my forehead. It felt like something was tearing apart in my head. Like it was going to rip me apart. I clenched my jaws and leaned against Natsu's back. He hadn't noticed me.

"You're Lisanna, aren't you?"
