Lucy, Gray and Levy were at a cafe known as Mira's. She was a year 9 working because she wanted to earn a living quick for college. Her sister was Lisanna and Elfman was still in year 6. Their parents were away and Mira was in charge. The three were there to rest before going bird watching. "Dude, that new kid was freakishly strong," Bickslow laughed. They were by a window seat on the right.
"Who is this new kid?" Mira asked. Laxus was supposed to be in her year but got held back a year.
"Natsu Dragneel," Freed snickered.
"Isn't he in a foster family?" Mira asked. Lucy's ears perked up. This had meant his parents were human and don't know that he's a werewolf. Lucy had thought wrong. He wasn't trying to invade her territory, he had been forced to by his foster family. She stands up suddenly and leaves the shop, leaving her friends confused.

"Thank the photography club lending us the cameras!" The teacher in charge said. Levy and Gray left without Lucy to the club. Gray had tried to persuade some students but no luck.
"Is Lucy coming?" Gray asked.
"She's not picking up. We have to leave without her," Levy said. She was confused with Lucy's sudden action but had to get back their room so she had to ignore this. But Gray had been hurt. He kept thinking that Lucy had not gone to meet Natsu. But a small part of him believe she had. Why else would she leave? The others were talking about him and she had left. It couldn't have been a coincidence.
"So can you join the photography club? It's on Wednesdays! All the girls would love you for it, ya' know?" He asked a small year 7. The boy shook his head.

"Natsu!" Lucy yelled after him. He was on the edge of the woods on the designated path for humans. Natsu had heard her running after him a few seconds before she had yelled.
"Don't worry, I'm leaving!" He muttered.
"No, you don't! I'm sorry! I had judged a book by its cover!" Lucy said as they were side by side.
"No, when I'm finally staying here with you, I would be weak and you're going to--" Natsu said.
"No! I won't do anything to you! Just stay!" Lucy pleaded.
"Just catch me and we'll see," Natsu had begun to run and Lucy ran after him. She hadn't ran like this in a long time. She could smell loads of things that were new to her. She could feel the dirt under her feet and all the air tickling at her neck. She never felt so...free!Natsu circled a tree and ran to the next doing the same. Lucy could see him so she didn't bother circling the tree. He jumped over a bush and climbed a tree. Lucy had gotten confused by his disappearance. She saw him at a branch of a tree. She picked up a pine cone and threw it at him. He fell down but landed on his two feet. He looked at her, surprised because he didn't see her. Lucy was about to say something but Natsu had become to run again. Lucy groaned as she began to run again. She saw the small distance between her and Natsu. She leaped forwards. She wrapped her arms around his chest and her legs around his waist. He had been caught off guard and fell down. Somewhere during the tumble, Lucy had let go of his body. They had finally stopped tumbling and they had begun to laugh. "Miss. Heartfilia! Mr. Dragneel! What are you doing here!?!" The teacher had shrieked. They had stumbled upon--literally--the bird watching club. Before either of them could respond, the club had evacuated because they had probably scared off all the birds. Levy and Gray had stayed behind to talk to them.

They were all back at Mira's cafe, sitting down peacefully. Lucy had made an excuse to why she had left. "I was being mean to Natsu on his first day and when I heard he had foster parents, I freaked out and wanted to apologize. I tried to but he ran into the woods and I had to follow him. We both fell down and ended up where you lot were!" Lucy said. That had convinced her friends and it was kind of true.
"I even thought about leaving," Natsu laughed and their friends' eyes widened, "But I'm staying!" He amends. Lisanna, Laki and Flare walk into the cafe and walk up to them. Their words had shocked them.
"We have an offer!" Flare announced.
"If you take photos for us," Laki began.
"We'll join your silly club so it won't be cancelled. Do we have a deal or not?" Lisanna asked, "Is Natsu joining?" She then asked. They all looked at Natsu for an answer.
"Um...yeah...sure!" He seemed sure of what he had said.
"We have a deal!" Levy giggled.

"We're litteraly saved now!" Lucy sighed. She and Natsu were walking away from the cafe. The others were left behind to work out some of the details.
"I'm glad I'm staying. I've never seen anyone like me before," Natsu said out loud. He had thought of himself as a monster all of his life and that he was a freak. In the orphanage he would listen to all the voices. Even as a baby he could hear all these voices through the walls and in the dining hall. He hated that the orphanage gave them vegetables everyday. They had meat once a month!
"So, what would you do the next time you wolf out? I might not be there to stop you!" Lucy asked him. Natsu hadn't thought about it. He had ran in the wild every time he had transformed and now that he was here with loads of insults, he couldn't stand a chance.
"Well, that would be an interesting day, wouldn't it?" Natsu asked her. Lucy giggled at this and waved bye before running away from him to her house.
