I hear distant howling of wolves meaning it's dark and that I should be on the move again so I leave the cave I was crashing in then go into the pitch black woods and begin to walk towards the city lights of Gotham.

I've been in Gotham a lot the past year or so because it's where 'freaks' like me fit in and I can walk in the streets without anyone screaming and running away then go back to the woods before morning light. The only downside is that Gotham is also full of crime meaning I need to watch my back.

As if someone was listening I hear a scream from behind me and see a man in a clown mask walk towards a lady, the one who screamed, with a knife.

"Help, someone please help me!" She screams the typical clichè cry for help and I hide in the shadows and look around for someone to stop him but see nobody. Weird...

"Ahhh!" The lady screams as the clown gets closer and I sigh walking out of the shadows, guess I'll have to save her myself.

I throw a rock at the clown hitting him in the back of his neck and he turns around to face me, "run." I tell the lady and she nods running away, continuing to scream.

The clown then cracks his knuckles and runs towards me with the knife. He tries to cut me but I backwards flip then kick him in the face and knock him out in seconds, he was easy. I then bend down and take the knife from him deciding how much I could sell it for.

"That's my job." A voice says behind me and I turn around to look at Robin. Oh yeah now you arrive, "who are you?" He asks.

"I'm no one." I tell him then glance at the goon and back at him, "next time do your job, you nearly got me exposed." I say putting the knife in my pocket then I walk towards big belly burger since it's open 24/7 and go up to the counter.

"What can I get for you?" A young girl asks me kindly.

"Chicken drumstick box and a water bottle please." I say trying to be kind and she nods handing the order to the kitchen and she looks at my appearance. My hair is a light grey, I have ice blue eyes and two small fangs at the top of my mouth. I'm wearing black skinny jeggings, black combat boots, a dark grey hoodie and a black leather jacket over it.

"Costume party?" She asks and I nod.

"Yeah, I just grabbed some things together from last Halloween and put it on." I lie and she nods smiling and handing me my meal. I leave and walk towards and 'abandoned' hotel.

I go into the hotel and walk past many pairs of street kids who are looking at my food hungrily. I ignore them and walk towards the room I stay in and open the door with my key and lock it behind me sitting on the mattress I found on another floor.

I then start to get cold and look up to see the bathroom window open. I take out my new knife I took from the clown earlier and slowly walk towards the kitchen and I see his shadow. I walk around the corner then pin him to the wall and put the knife to his neck.

"Why are you following me?" I yell at him putting the knife to his neck.

"League...sent..me." He chokes out and I drop him on the ground then put my hands through my hair and walk to the bedroom as boy wonder catches his breath. The league know about me already? I've been in the woods or shadows the whole time.

I go back into the bathroom and take $257 from behind the sink and a, about to leave the room when Robin stops me, "We aren't your enemies, we want to give you a place on the team." He says and I brush his hand off me and shake my head.

"Listen, you know what I am and on a full moon I'm dangerous." I warm him, "If you seen me on a full moon you'd become my enemy."

He shakes his head, "We have everything you need." He tries to convince.

"Where?" I ask and he smiles.

"Mount Justice, let me take you." He offers and I shake my head.

"I'd go but I don't know you and I'm a danger to the innocent." I say walking past him and to the door.

"You didn't seem dangerous towards Miss Martain." He says making me freeze on the spot. That was Miss Martain? Of course, I was set up, "So are you coming or not?"

"Fine."
