Night of my Vengeance
I never forgotten
I was wronged
The time is now for me to seek my vengeance
It is only right
It is just
I shall partake on this night to collect the debt owed to me
For the life that was snatched from me
🔮🔮🔮
I want to vomit. That's how I feel right now. The past couple of days were pure torture. Nightmares plagued me. Flashes of dancing fire and shrills of mercy. I would wake up in a pool of sweat and my heritage mark throbbing with a sense of warning.
Something bad was coming and be it would be on the week of Halloween!
Between my witch powers acting up on me and my wolf constantly nitpicking, it was evident that disaster was on the horizon.
Being at this party, I should have known better. I could have just declined, excused myself to stay home. I just couldn't find myself to say no. So here I am, dressed in a rather silly witch hat and holding a cup of surely spiked punch. Not like it could work on me or anyone else here at this party. Everyone of us here had the blood of werewolves in our veins like the generations before, some being heirs. Here partying so carelessly.
"I smell the uneasiness on you." Abigail, an Alpha-in-training, approached me, dressed ironically in a vampire costume. "You should be having fun, babes!"
"It's because it's that night, huh?" Tyson, wearing a rather ridiculous werewolf costume, snickers. "You know the story, right, Jaci? How tonight a witch was accused by our ancestors of putting a curse on them and hanged for it? The legend says her spirit waits for that perfect moment to strike while haunting our pack."
"Doubt it! Nothing has bad happened to our pack and its legacy since our first ancestor! That witch is a joke! A ruse to scare off our enemies. I bet she doesn't even exist!"
"I wouldn't laugh in the face of a witch. You do remember that our boy here is half witch?"
"But, Tye, you brought it up!"
"That was a little insensitive. And my, I am very offended that my death was told to be a lie."
Abigail's eyes glossed over and her body dropped. Hers and many of others. Music and laughter stopped within seconds as the lights sparked out and more bodies dropped like flies. A laugh felt my lips as I watched it all happen. One by one they all became lifeless and a stepping stone to the impending doom arising.
"Oh, how I waited for this! What better way than to get justice than to rid of the heirs?! Your pack will become nothing but dust! Food for the maggots! Just as I had been!"
Those words may have left from my lips, but those words belonged to a voice that wasn't mine. A voice of a scorned soul.
