She pulled out a hidden knife and pointed it at the camera on the sides of the room, and then it floated casting an illusion above us as the tip of the knife displayed an repeated video of a teacher speaking to two kids in his office. Then Lucy then marched on Daniel and pulled out another knife, but this one was aiming for Daniel. She threw it with deadly accuracy, and it went towards Daniels face, but was stopped by him catching it an inch from his face.

"I knew it" Lucy exclaimed "I knew it" I tossed back her knife which she caught and put it back in her place. The little fight was another way of how hunter's recognized each-other, but it was usually done by the better skilled ones. Daniel only did it when he knew that the person was capable of catching the knife, but still fast enough to not be caught by a regular person. The other way that this could be done for skilled was dodging the knife, catching it and throwing it at the person's feet in a single motion, but that one was really hard to do correctly, but Daniel had no problem doing it. The boring way of identifying another hunter I by drawing something and saying that it has three meanings. It is just a simple line drawn across a paper horizontally and vertically cutting it into four sections, but it was also the safest and used mostly by rookies and trainees.

"Your also a hunter" Daniel exclaimed "how, I thought that you were a regular student here"

"Well I am and I am not" Lucy said "I have been here for a year trying to find the vampire tribe, but I haven't found anything that even points to them existing here, but the teacher is going to come back soon and he should go" Daniel looked at the blade that was still spinning in the air and noticed that it was almost completely gone having used up it's magic to cast the illusion. 

"I loved that knife too" Lucy said looking at it and then they opened the door and left the office. Daniel cringed as a roar of angry students rose to his ears, but Lucy was just walking around them like it was a normal everyday thing here. Daniel ran up to her and looked at her like she was crazy. 

"What I've been here for a year, and this is just the beginning of what is going to happen during this school year, and last year I was almost caught up in a fight, but got away before a punch...my punch could connect with someone's face" Lucy said remembering the last year that she was at the school and how lonely it was, but she pushed it away because she was now going to leave this place behind and start something less hard for them both...hopefully. 

"Go get your stuff and be waiting on the first floor by the door in ten minutes" Daniel said to her before breaking off and going to the opposite side of the Gym to get his things, and then as he walked to the door he threw it all into the trash can...besides his hidden knife that was in the binder's spine, and he put it in his shoe as he walked through the door and straight into the three that he 'met' in the bathroom. 

"Oh you are going to pay for what you did to us back there" Mark said cracking his knuckles "and I am guessing that if you don't have your stuff. Then you are either taking a potty break or leaving to be a new recruit" he stepped a little closer. 

"Oh so you aren't that stupid after all" Daniel said a little surprised "but still rather stupid" he punched Mark in the stomach before spinning and kicking him in the face sending him to the floor knocked out, again. Daniel looked at the other two, and they looked at Mark before looking at Daniel before deciding that it wasn't worth getting beat up again for a person that they just stand by to be cool. They turned and ran back to their class before Daniel could change his mind about letting them go and making them end up like Mark. 

Then Lucy decided to open the door to the hall, but it was blocked by Mark's unconscious body, so she used her leg and he was sent rolling in the other direction as she finally stepped through the door along with all of the noise from the yelling Gym. 

"What happened to him" she asked motioning to Mark "did a brick hit him" 

"You could say that" Daniel said and then walked past Mark to the stairs, and then he got on the railing and was about to slide down. 

"Are you serious" Lucy asked bored 

"What can't a guy have a little fun here and there" Daniel said before launching himself down

"I can't believe you men" Lucy said as she took the stairs the right way, and the the way that won't get her hurt, and just as she said that a crash sounded from below and a door came flying through the opening under her "now what" she shook her head as she went down to see Daniel also looking at it in surprise. 

"That was where we were supposed to be while we waited" he whispered and Lucy looked at it in surprise and wonder because what could do that. Then something stepped through and Daniel pulled Lucy aside with a cut'off yelp as Daniel covered her mouth, and when he breathing calmed down a little he uncovered it as two set's of feet went down in opposite directions of the lower floor of the school. 

"Where are you Lucy" a dark and sinister voice echoed throughout the halls "I just want to talk" 

"Don't say, or do anything" Daniel whispered in her ear "we need to get out of here and fast" 

"Why" Lucy asked "I can take him" 

"No-no you can't because that is one of the oldest vampires since the sixteen-hundreds" Daniel said "no one's been able to find him since the house-fire that supposedly killed him and his family" they slowly crept to other exit behind the stairs as the vampire turned the corner. 

"We need to warn the school" Lucy said 

"No it is to late...unless city guards come to get us and see something going wrong, but even they would be dead before they even got a sight on him" Daniel said as they kept on moving quietly 

"So what do we do" Lucy asked as they went through a door into another hallway, and then Daniel noticed a camera, and got an idea

"Okay I might have an idea, but it may as well trap us here too" he said turning to Lucy, and then he grabbed his knife and threw it at the camera, and a large blaring alarm went throughout the whole school and a large metal wall slid down on the left side blocking off the door. Daniel quickly went to a near room practically dragging Lucy alone with him, and as soon as she stepped into the room a metal wall that was the width of the door slid down blocking off the room from everyone. Then the windows blinds turned and slid together locking into place, and the roof and all of the other rooms but the bathroom in the room were blocked entirely by metal. 

"So that's why they groaned, but why attack now and not in a week or a month" Daniel said pacing "we need to get you to base to figure out why you are being targeted for the turning" 

"Wait-wait-wait-wait" Lucy said rather quickly "they want to turn me into one of them" 

"Yes but we don't know why, and I've been brought here to protect you" Daniel said looking out the window, and then sitting on the couch in the back of the room by the board, and groaning as he leaned against the couch on his arm. Then he yelped and immediately shot off the couch holding his arm. Lucy came over and pulled up his sleeve to reveal that the wound was bleeding. 

"How did you get this" she asked as she went in her pocket for another bandage

"It's nothing really" Daniel said gritting his teeth "if you try to dress it again then they will smell the blood and come here" 

"And if I don't then they will smell it anyways, come here, and you might bleed out and be too weak to fight them as they take me away" Lucy said and Daniel growl-groaned before sitting on an actual chair by a table and extending his arm to let her undress the bite. 

"Please don't freak out" Daniel said as the last bit of the bandage came out and she shot up and quickly backed away from Daniel when she saw the werewolf bite. It was still red and wasn't infected, other than it being a werewolf bite, but it was bleeding a-lot as it lay there in the open. 

"You-you've been bitten by-by a freaking werewolf" she screeched as she continued to stay away from him, and then she took a step forward with a little pity in her eyes "does your clan know" Daniel was shaking his head no before she even finished 

"No-no my clan doesn't know about it, and all that they know is that I was scratched, but didn't got to the clan doctor" he said as he grabbed the bandaging from the spot on the floor where she dropped it at, and started to dress his wound himself. 

"Do you know what this means" Lucy said watching him from a distance

"Yes I know what it means" Daniel said "I will be shunned from my clan if not killed, and with this rare moon. I am going to change into an uncharted, undiscovered, and dangerous beast that is going to be stronger than any werewolf known to the hunters. Ironically I am a hunter, but I can't find the courage to kill myself because I-I still have things to kill and places to go, and I don't want to die yet. Even if it means living on the run hunting, killing, and changing for forever" Daniel summed up the entire thing in a quick description, and described his doom so thoroughly that the only thing that interrupted it was the banging of the vampires trying to break through the door. Daniel went to the window and saw his knife right where he left it...in the camera that activated the lock-down. 

"I can smell the blood coming from your arm human, and I am going to tear you apart so sickly that the entire room will be covered in your blood" the four-thousand year old vampire yelled through the medium sized opening in the metal wall that they were literally tearing apart "and you Lucy are going to be a nice addition to the coven, my coven because of your stupid clan's history" 

"What does he mean" Daniel asked Lucy looking at her confused and it suddenly clicked for her

"Oh I know why he wants me now" she said "you see in my clan's history we were the ones that set fire to an ancient vampires house killing everyone that was in, killing all of those that managed to escape the flames without mercy, and tracking down any survivors for decades, but it seems like we missed one and he made two minions of his to do his dirty work" she punched the wall making a fist-sized dent in it.

"Why would they want to turn you and not tear you apart, or torture you to death" Daniel said 

"Well the thing is that the worst type of torture for a hunter is being turned into the very thing that they hunt, and if I was turning into a vampire then they could torture me without a fight, and without any cares about keeping me alive forever until they decided that I was getting too boring and ended my life" Lucy said and Daniel looked at the floor because it was true. Every hunters fear was to be turned into the very thing that they hated so much they tried to rid the earth of it forever, and Daniel was already turning into a werewolf as it is, and that had already deprived some strength in him, but he was going to keep following his clan and keep killing the real monsters. 

"They've broken through the wall, and I don't think that help is going to be coming any time soon" Lucy said and then jumped back as a very bloody face with a helmet on appeared in the window, and Daniel in his hurting state went over and looked out to see that there were now multiple bodies in the halls and a vampire was fighting with an armored soldier. Though not for long because soon after locking arms and trying to push each-other into the walls, or the ground, a vampire came up behind him and cut off his head. 

"Oh come on" the female vampire that was locked in a death grip with him exclaimed "I had em" 

"Yeah sure" the other one said before they both went over to the four-hundred year old vampire who was coming over here. He looked at the dead guard on the floor and then he bent own and moved him out of the way before using his nails to dig enough finger room under the door. When he had enough room, which wasn't even a half minute, he gripped the steel door and slowly lifted it back up with the two other vampires smiling wickedly behind him, and Lucy and Daniel backing up to the far side of the room putting more space between them, the door, and the vampires behind it about to come in. Then there was a shower of sparks as the mechanism for the steel door broke and the actual door opened revealing a smiling four-hundred year old vampire, two other vampires, and the stench of fresh death and blood in the hallways. Daniel covered his mouth and nose with his uninjured arm and put the other behind his back to where he usually has a blade, but then he remembered that it was still lodged in the camera outside, and there was no way to get it without being killed by either the older vampire or the ones behind him that had a thirst for blood...literally. 

"Okay then since it took us this long to get here, and with the annoyance of the guards I will not kill you human" it said "but if the lady hands herself over to us freely then I will think about letting you live...maybe" he looked at Lucy and then shut the door as the two outside took their places at either end of the door 'guarding' it. It sniffed the room and then he had a surprised expression on his face. 

"What garlic got your tongue" Daniel asked trying to be brave "or is it the fact that you have no heart" and the vampire looked at Daniel before doing something no one expected. He ripped open his shirt and took out his own heart quickly and without a sound like he had practiced it before, and then he showed it to them. It was there and still beating, but Daniel looked at it in shock and he paled a-lot. The vampire put his heart back in his chest, but let his shirt hang open all ripped and torn up, and Daniel and Lucy watched as his skin stitched itself back together until there was no open skin to show where he tore it from, and it looked like it was before he tore out his own heart. 

"Now that that demonstration is over can we get to the killing part" he said and stalked forward pushing any desks and chairs out of the way as he ascended to us with his claws open at his sides, and then he stopped again smelling the air and he looked directly at Daniel. He shot forward and grabbed Daniel's bite arm and pulled it in-front of him, and then he smiled and punched him in the face knocking him out and sending him to the floor. Lucy wanted to scream, but she couldn't because there was nothing to scream for, so she couldn't do anything as they grabbed her, put a dark sack over her head, and then a piercing pain went through her neck and she blacked out falling into the ancient vampire's arms. 

"That's it" the vampire said "sleep, sleep young one and come find me when you wake" and then he called in the other two and left the building alone. 

Lucy was carried into a van and Daniel was just thrown onto the floor of it, and chained to the floor, but Lucy was put into a sitting position and chained to a chair before they closed the doors and opened the front ones before driving off. The the van jerked to a stop and the driving vampire got out, and went to the back. He was about to open the door when a sharp object embedded itself into his back with the point sticking out of his chest. It was a stake, and he fell to the floor dead as a team of hunters came out with crossbows that shot mini-stakes, and with silver knives, regular stakes, and pistols loaded with silver, holy water bullets. They all were wearing black to blend in with the night sky, but a few of them had twin swords on their backs and all that they had as a long-range weapon was a pistol modified to shoot stakes, plus bullets. 

The other vampire in the passenger seat was trying to unbuckle her seat belt so that she could make a run for it, and when she finally did she opened the door to find a stake gun aimed at her chest. 

"Hi Cecilia" the man pointing the gun at her said "how are you enjoying living dead so far" 

"It is actually rather...hungry" she tried to leap at him, but he stepped out of the way and a bullet dipped in holy water went into her shoulder. She screamed loud and horrifyingly, and then was forced into the ground again. 

"Where is your boss Cecilia" he asked pointing the gun at her other shoulder, and she hissed at him before another shot and scream rang out. 

"I am not going to repeat it" he said "we didn't follow you all of the way out here from the school for nothing, and I am going to get some type of answer out of you before I kill you" he pointed the gun at her leg shifting a little to do so, and she took this as her chance. She threw him off and grabbed his throat sending him into the car, and then something pointy hit her chest with such a force that it knocked the air from her lungs. She tried to breath in, but couldn't, and then she looked down to see a circular piece of wood sticking out from her chest. 

"I'm sorry, but you gave me no choice" he said to her as her vision started to fade and she fell to the floor dying, and then with one last breath Cecilia's body relaxed and she went still...dead. The others by a tree turned around to go back into the forest when a more human yell sounded through out the forest where they were and the van started to shake. The man stepped around Cecilia's body as he and the others went to the back with their weapons aimed and ready pointing at the doors. The man opened them both quickly and they all got tenser as they found a girl with a black bag over hear head and a boy was chained to the floor looking at them in surprise and shock. 

"What the hell happened to you" the man asked 

"Us. Hunters. Her. Vampire, Turned, Don't kill" was all the boy said before collapsing back on the floor of the van.

"Hey Ed" the man called behind him "call for an evacuation and clean-up team" 

"Yes sir, but what about her" he asked coming up to him "she's been bitten by a vampire, so shouldn't she be killed" 

"That's up to the Clan's leader to decide, but for now just restrain her enough to not escape" he said and Ed went back behind him as he called for an evacuation team and clean up crew. The eight others took a stretcher, and unchained the boy before putting him on it and lifting him out of the truck. The girl's hood was taken off and she was unchained before being put into special chains and also put on a stretcher that was adapted for carrying prisoners, and chained people, or things. Then the helicopter came into view and when it landed four of them got on and put the two on as well, and the leader and the other three walked back to their car and drove back to their clan.
