Your keys jingled in hand as you reached the back door of the small coffee shop you work at. You checked the door first and found it to be opened. "Oh, Yuto must be here early." You mumbled and entered the shop and you were right.

Yuto was arranging the baked good onto their designated sheets. He looked up and smiled brightly. "Morning, Y/N!"

"Good morning, Yuto!" You smiled brightly at his happy demeanor.

You quickly went into the small employee lounge and placed your backpack into your cubicle. Your hands automatically went to the small string ribbon on your white buttoned shirt, tightening it. The work outfit was cute. A plain white buttoned long sleeve, black shoes or boots and a choice of black pants or a skirt.

Today was a pants kind of day.

Hurrying, you went out to the kitchen. "Are there any more in the oven?" You questioned.

Yuto shook his head, his blonde curls bouncing with the movement. "Nope, I just finished them all."

"Damn." You rose an eyebrow. "How early did you get here?"

He paused with a cupcake in hand. "Um, maybe about five this morning?" Then he placed the cupcake onto an empty space on the sheet.

You blinked then glanced at the clock. The time showed that it was now 7:25 a.m. "Why did you even come so early? You've been here for three hours!"

The young adult sheepishly smiled. "I couldn't sleep last night."

"I swear you need to take care of yourself more!" You scolded the same aged co-worker.

"Hey you too!" Yuto defended. "Don't think I notice the lack of sleep." He then poked right under your left eye. All you could do was sigh in defeat. He was right as well. "Now help me put these in the display case." Yuto said, grabbing two trays.

You nodded, grabbing two more and following him out to the front of the shop. You waited while Yuto placed the trays full of steaming goods into the cases before handing him the two you had. Then you went back to get more.

Around 7:50, the two of you thought it was a good idea to open up the shop as there was a long line outside. "You ready?" Yuto asked, holding out his fist for a fist bump.

"Yep!" You returned the gesture and unlocked the front door. You opened the door and smiled. "Good morning and welcome everybody!" The people smiled and began to go into the shop either sitting down at the tables or standing in line for to grab something to go. You then took out your trusty notepad. "Alright, let's finish the shift."

Two hours later, you swear you couldn't feel your legs anymore. You glanced at the clock. There were only 10 more minutes of your shift before you head off to your class. Yuto looked at you with amusement.

"Only ten more minutes and then we gotta head out." He only said while serving another customer.

You could only nod as the back door from the kitchen swung open. All you did was glance over at the five co-workers that took over the next shift. Usually, it was just you and Yuto who took over the early shift and sometimes another person. The two of you work well together and thus had two people working in one shift.

You had just finished placing a sweet tart in front of a lady. "Please enjoy." You said and did a slight bow. She replied with a "thank you" and a smile. At that moment, you happened to glance at the clock and noticed your shift was over.

Yuto must have done the same thing as he headed towards the back with you following into the employee's room. You quickly grabbed your bag and hung up your apron into your designated cubicle. The both of you waved at a worker in the kitchen placing more goods onto trays and started your way to university.

"Ugh, my legs feel sore." You slightly rubbed them.

Yuto only chuckled. "It wasn't that bad."

"Really?" You huffed. "Why were there so many people today?"

Yuto only shrugged. "Don't have that attitude when we go back for our second shift."

"I don't have an attitude."

"Yes you do." He poked the side of your head. "Tsk, tsk. And here I thought you knew all this time. What a shame."

"Why are you like this?" You questioned as the two were now starting to walk into the university.

It was an open campus with various buildings housing the different classes. Where you two were was sort of near the center which had a huge fountain right in the middle. It also had very small fast food places and the main bookstore. It also had lush trees and grass with benches.

"Well I'm heading off," Yuto winked. "Have fun and see ya!" Then he took a right at the center and headed over to one of the different buildings.

"See ya!" You replied and then took the opposite direction. "Why is class so far away?" You mumbled and took a look at your phone for the time. There was only ten minutes left. All you did was sigh and try to make it past the other students getting to their own places as well. "I need to find hurry up and change if I'm going to make it." Then you tried speeding up your walking. Hopefully, you would pay attention in the hour and a half class.

By lunchtime, you were in need of food. It was almost twelve and you were searching for Yuto. "Where the hell is he?" You mumbled, looking around.

"Right here, sweetie." A voice said behind you.

Startled, you jumped away from the source and looked around. There was Yuto smiling and with a bag from the university's McDonald's.

"You scared me! I swear you're like a vampire or something!" You exclaimed.

"Heh," He casually started walking away, swinging the bag. "Guess I'll find someone else to eat these chicken nuggets with."

"Wait! Come back!" You followed him and clung to his arm. "Please? I love you..."

"Weirdo." Yuto replied and pushed you away. He then claimed a table and sat the bag between you.

You pouted and sat down across from him. "How dare you not accept my love."

"Did I have a receipt to return it?" He joked and passed the container of nuggets to you plus with your desired sauce for dipping.

"Rude, but understandable." You opened it up to be greeted by the scent of freshly made nuggets.

"Remember," Yuto shoved some fries in his mouth before handing you a container as well. "You need to get out of your next class as soon as possible if you're going to make it in time for the next shift."

"I know. That instructor always goes over his lectures for far too long." You started on your fourth nugget.

Yuto only hummed in reply. The two of you enjoyed your lunch (well mostly you as Yuto only got fries) before you two headed for your last class for the day.

An angry sigh escaped your mouth as you rushed back to the coffee shop. "Why the hell are his lectures long?! Pssh I bet half of it is not even going to on the exam!" You skidded to a halt as you opened the back door of the shop. Your boss looked up from the kitchen and then to the clock.

"Right on time." She smiled. "Now go and help Yuto out there. We're especially busy today."

"Yes, ma'am!" You quickly went into the employee's room. No one was in there and so you locked the door before changing back into the work attire. You stuffed your bag in the cubicle, grabbed your apron and unlocked the door. Like lightning, you tied the material around your waist and slipped your hair into a ponytail.

You walked out of the room and went straight to the front of the store. Yuto only glanced back at you. "Finally." He grinned while you rolled your eyes. "Anyways, tables that are even."

You nodded. That meant all tables from 2 through 14 were now yours. You went over to table 8 with your notepad in hand and smiled. "Hello! Can I get you something today?"

"An iced tea please?"

"Sure!" You smiled again and wrote it down. They handed you the menu and you went back to the counter to drop it off and relayed your message to Yuto who was the best at making coffee and tea. The small bell above the front door chimed as another person walked in.

You glanced back and saw that they sat at a table. Turning, you still the menu from before in your hand and walked to table 10. "Hello sir!"

He looked at you and smiled.

"He looks familiar..." You thought then you remembered. The male had been coming into the coffee shop for about a week now either ordering a slice of apple pie or a cup of coffee. He had a certain aura about him that you couldn't place.

"Ah back again?" It was always nice to chat with familiar customers.

"Ah y-yeah," He said sheepishly and chuckled nervously. The tips of his ears were starting to turn a little red.

"The usual slice?"

He nodded, smiling brightly at you. In return, it made you smile at him. "Got it." You said. "I'll be back." You turned and went to the counter, asking another worker to grab a slice.

You glanced over your shoulder to see the mysterious man looking at his phone. As if you called him, he slowly raised his head and his eyes met yours. Brown eyes just stared back at you and quickly you turned back.

"He's like the sun... Ugh I need to stop watching so many romance dramas." You thought and shifted all your focus into working.
