PUNE
He took my hand in his, locked our fingers together and walked in with me inside his house. I saw his mother smiling at us. Did he tell her about me? He didn't mention anything about this to me. Keeping my questions aside I walked into his beautiful and big home. It was a real big apartment with beautiful walls. I looked around falling in love with the home I just walked into.
"Aao beta andar aao.."said Aunty. She was a woman in her late 40's. She was just a little taller than me so maybe Parth had got that 'Eiffel Tower' structure from his father. Parth hadn't discussed much about his family with me. He once told me about his mother and his sister that's it.
Parth left my hand and went inside a room, his room maybe, and aunty made me sit on the sofa with her. She asked me about myself and I told her everything about me and my family but I didn't mention dad much. Maybe Parth told her that my dad didn't talk to me, I don't know maybe she knew everything about me.
Suddenly Parth dashed out of his room and stood in front of us holding two T-shirts in his hands and held them above.
"This.. Or thiss..? He asked moving the Tee's close to his body. I pointed at the red one because red was his favorite. He smiled at me and dashed in again. I looked back at his mother and she was smiling at me.
"Kya hua aunty.. ?" I asked smiling back myself. Now I knew from where Parth got that beautiful smile of his. He had his mother's smile and even his dark brownish-black innocent eyes were inherited from his mother.
"Did you see that smile of his? I don't remember the last time I saw him smiling like that. He loves you so much beta."her eyes got filled with water as she looked up at me. "You definitely make him so happy. I can see that love and spark and excitement in his eyes all over again." She smiled happily. I didn't know what she was talking about. Had he lost his smile earlier? We never discussed his past. I didn't have one. I remember he had told me that he had been in relationships earlier too but never had he been serious about any of it. It was just me. I felt so special when he said that.
His mother got up from her place and sat next to me. She took my hands in hers. "Niti, I don't know if he has told you about his past or not, all I know is that I can see that he really loves you and he really cares for you. He will do stupidities kyunki beta koi bhi perfect nahi hota lekin uski stupidities ko dil pe mat lena, agar kabhi usse koi bhi galti ho toh usko maaf kar dena please. Dekho beta, koi bhi perfect nahi hota hai, mera beta bhi aisa he hai pagal sa. I know you must be wondering how I know about you guys but Parth had told me long back that he had found someone. Pehle toh I was scared because I didn't want him to suffer all over again. But the way he described you, jo bhi usne bataya tumhare baare mein I thought maybe you aren't like her and that maybe finally my son has found his happiness." I was so clueless as to what she was saying but I kept on listening. Her eyes were getting teary and a tear came rolling down. I had just met that woman and she was sharing her heart out with me, she was crying in front of someone she had just met. I felt connected to her, instantly. "I know that he is absolutely sure about you. Niti, I can read him. I know him in and out. I have seen him break apart, I have seen him make his life miserable. I never thought he'd trust any girl again but he did." She suddenly stopped speaking and wiped her tears as she heard Parth unlock the door of his room. She gave me a smile.
"Maa suno main aata hoon vo.. Niti I want you to meet someone, so I'll go and get that someone here tab tak tum maa se baat karo okay?" He leaned forward and dropped a kiss on my forehead. I turned red that very instant. How could he just kiss me in front of his mother! Shameless he was! I was so embarrassed.
"Okay." I said. He smiled at me and then at his mother. He picked the keys of his car and went out.
"Ek dum badmash hai ye ladka" his mother said as she closed the front door and laughed lightly.
"Haan aunty, bahut pareshaan karta hai mujhe." I accompanied her to the kitchen.
She told me about what Parth liked to eat and she narrated a few instances of his childhood to me. I had a good laugh hearing whatever she had told me.
"Umm.. Aunty.. Aap keh kya keh rahi thi about his past..? 'Her'? Kya hua tha uske sath?" I was getting curious now. The man I loved had suffered a lot in his life before and I had no clue about it. I wanted to know more.
"Vo tumhe khud batayega, I didn't want to hint you about anything lekin I was so happy that he found his lost smile back.. Aur agar vo na bataye toh Niti don't force him. He will come up with the truth once he's ready.." I didn't know how to react. To be angry that he hadn't told me something so important about his life or to keep calm and let things be the way they were. After a tug of war in my head I finally chose to stick to the latter. He was happy at the moment and I didn't want his smile to fade away. I didn't want the thought of 'her' to bring back whatever memories he had left behind. I assured his mother that I wouldn't force him into anything and that I will always be with him and his smile would never wear off.
We talked some more, about his family and it was then that I got to know about his father. It pained his mother to speak of him but still told me saying that I should be knowing certain things. She told me that his father had left her and his two children for some other woman. He had disappeared for days when Parth and his sister were in their teens and one day suddenly he sent a divorce notice. "But I'm over that too. If god takes something from us, he gives something to us. My children were my strength, they still are. Parth and Deepika took care of everything. They never let me feel alone."A smile replaced her words on her lips. I felt so proud of Parth at that moment. Moreover, I felt proud of myself that I had fallen in love with such a good man. I didn't bother anymore about the things he hadn't told me. I knew he will when he's ready for it.
*Ting-Tong*
We heard the doorbell ring and aunty went to open the door. I was still in the kitchen, stirring the pan on the stove. I could hear people giggling and I decided to go outside.
"Nitiiii! So you are the one jisne iss bandar ko insaan bana diya!" Suddenly I was hugged by a girl I had never seen. I looked at Parth, my eyes had questions ready for him and he just smiled.
"Haan.. I guess so.." I said as the finally broke the hug.
"Arre sorry, stupid of me, I'm Akanksha, Parth's bachpan ki sabse best wali friend! Haina!?" She was talking to me and suddenly turned to look at Parth, waiting for her answer.
"Niti.. She's Akku, my best friend.. Like tumhara tha na.. 'Cheeeekuuuu'" he again imitated my voice. I gave him a flustered look and he giggled at my reaction.
"Haan you can call me Akku." I looked at this girl who had just ran out of nowhere to hug me. I wondered how many more surprises or shocks Parth had planned for me. First he told his mother about us.. Okay, I did too. But then suddenly out of nowhere he introduced me to his best friend. Like, okay.. Even Tushh popped in out of nowhere but still.. I knew this wasn't enough and readied myself for some more surprises/shocks for the day.
Akanksha Jha, she and Parth had been best friends since school days. She was a fair, somewhat of my height and a pretty looking girl. She had a lean figure and long black hair that fell down touching her waist. She was a chirpy girl. It was nice to have her around. She stayed at the house till dinner and even she told me about Parth's stupid school days incidents. For the first time ever I had nothing to say about him. They all knew him so much better than me, specially Akanksha. It felt like they were really close to each other. I felt a little jealous because I thought that the only girl who knew him the best was me. But no, there was Akanksha who knew him better than I did. I felt a little jealous but then shrugged it off. She was a really sweet and nice person.
It was a perfect scenario to be in. Parth, his mother, his best friend who was now my friend too. I enjoyed a lot that day, I got to know a lot more about Parth. Some things pleasant, some things secretive. Some mysteries unfolded and some were yet to be. The day got over and night set in. Parth went to drop Akanksha back and I helped his mother in the kitchen. We both cleaned the utensils and I told her more about my mother and about dad. I told her that dad wasn't talking to me. She assured me that he will soon and with time everything gets sorted. Soon Parth came back, we three sat together for sometime. Aunty showed me Parth's childhood pictures and aww he looked so damn cute!! I wished he didn't grow up into a handsome man! I wish he still looked cute every time! But he only looked cute to me in our bedroom. It was around 11 when we all went to our rooms. Parth and I couldn't possibly sleep in the same room so I was given the guest room to sleep in. We said our final good night's and went into out respective rooms.

Okay so the Akanksha Jha that I mentioned above is actually someone who literally forced me and intruded into my story and another intruder (character) soon coming up
