Author's P.O.V:

Everyone was sat at the dining table enjoying the food when suddenly Anika's phone buzzed. She checked her phone to see a message from Gauri. She opened the message which read,

"Di why did you let Omkara pick the phone up? Pataa nahi what all I said."

On reading this message, Anika immediately replied,

"Chutki I was a little busy. Om was in the kitchen so I asked him to pick up. I thought it might be someone from the clinic. Om picked the call up in a hurry and that's why he didn't see the caller ID. Usai bhi pataa nahi thaa it was your call and before he could say anything you started your non-stop talking."

Anika messaged her back. She replied after a couple of minutes.

"Okay I understand. Good night di! Take care!"

"Good night chutki! Sweet dreams!"

Everyone finished off the dinner and then we were sat in the hall. Dadi decided to relive the memories of Shivika's wedding so she asked Khanna to put the DVD of the pictures on the TV.

"Mummy ji why don't we watch the video recording of the wedding?" Pinky questioned.

"Pinky we'll do that when we have lots of time on us and when everyone is together. Gauri bhi nahi hai aaj yahaan. So that's why we'll just look through the pictures together." Dadi explained.

"Okay mummy ji. Woh baat bhi sahi hai." Pinky replied with a smile.

Omkara's P.O.V:

Okay so just when I thought things can't get any worse, they did! Dadi decided we should look through Bhai and Bhabhi's wedding album. Like why? I have a lot of memories attached with that wedding. Some beautiful ones which now only cause me pain. I wanted to get out of there but mum insisted that I stayed. After all I have come home after a whole year. Unwillingly, I sat down to watch the pictures. Anika bhabhi was sat next to me and Rudra on the other side. As the pictures started to flick through, beautiful memories of the past flicked in my mind. After a few pictures I saw hers. She looked breathtakingly beautiful.

She was wearing a beautiful yellow suit with minimal embroidery. She wore big statement earrings which were her trademark. Gauri is known for her big jhumkas. Well I'm not sure if she still wears them. Her hair was softly braided to the side and she wore minimum makeup. She wore a cute little bindi on her forehead to complete her look. This was her look for the pithi day.

Memories of that day flashed in my mind and I tried my best to ignore it all. I didn't realise when tears started rolling down my face and I quickly wiped them off. This was all noticed by Anika Bhabhi, she simply held onto my hand and assured me it's all going to be okay. Lekin kehnaa easy hai. How is it all going to be okay? I ruined it all. I ruined such a beautiful relationship but if we had carried on with a long distance relationship I feel like it would've ruined our relation more. We would've also not focused on our careers. At that time I did what I felt right. I really did not want to see anymore pictures. I wanted to be out of here. Luckily, Tanisha aunty's phone rang.

"Yes Doctor Sharma speaking. Yes she's my patient. What? Okay bring her to the clinic I'll be there as soon as possible." We all panicked when we heard her phone conversation.

"Kya hua Tanu?" Arjun Uncle asked worriedly.

"Yeahh mom what's wrong?" Anika bhabhi asked.

"Samdhan ji sab theek toh hai naa?" Chote papa asked.

"Is Gauri Okay? Usai kuch hua toh nahi naa?" I burst out suddenly and everyone looked at me with a questioned look but Shivaay, Rudra And Anika bhabhi looked at me in shock. I didn't know what to say. Luckily Tanisha aunty spoke and handled the matter.

"It's nothing to worry about. Everyone calm down. Om beta Gauri is completely fine. Don't worry. Actually it was one of my patients husband speaking. His wife is 8 and a half months pregnant. Her due date is in 2 weeks but she's suddenly started to get pain in her tummy. I have a feeling it's contractions and the baby may come early. I need to rush to my clinic right now so I'm going to have to go. We'll come down again shaanti sai to look at Ani's wedding pictures. Bye everyone and Om and Ru hamaray ghar zaroor aanaa." Tanisha aunty explained the matter to everyone calmly. Thank god Gauri is fine.

"Yes aunty! I'm deffo going to come. Aapkay haath ki butter chicken or aloo paratha bohat miss kiyaa hain. And I need to meet my favourite Gauri di too. I've missed her sooo much." Rudra spoke as he dropped Tanisha aunty and Arjun Uncle to the door. We all bid them goodbye and I proceeded to go towards my room as I was extremely tired. I was walking down the corridor towards my room when I heard a voice call me.

"Stop Om!" I heard Shivaay call out. I turned around to find Anika bhabhi walking towards me with Rudy and Shivaay on each of her side. Why do they look like they're going to attack me?

"Woh sab kyaa thaa Om?" Shivaay questioned in a serious tone.

"What?" I asked with confusion.

"Why were you so worried that something happened to Gauri di?" Rudra questioned me.

"Haan Om why were you so worried? Itni chintaa kis liye Om? You've moved on right, so why are you worried about her? I mean, hum sab hai naa uski chintaa karnai kai liye." Anika bhabhi spoke taunting me.

"Exactly Om! You don't need to worry about her!" Shivaay spoke sarcastically.

"Stop it guys! Bas bhi karo! It hurts. Please let's not discuss that matter." I requested them to all quit talking about me and Gauri.

"Exactly Om! Bas bhi karo! If Gauri and you are over then stop showing that you care especially in front of our families. They don't know about you guys and it's best if they don't find out either. Behave normally please." Shivaay exclaimed.

"Hmmmmm." That is all I could say. I then just walked out of there and into my room. I was exhausted and needed some rest.

"Shivaay kya hogaa inn dono kaa? Gauri is trying her best to avoid Om and keep him out of her mind. Here Om is showing care for her but he's not ready to admit it. Why don't these two realise they're perfect for each other? They can't live without each other!"Anika spoke with concern.

"But they can't live with each other either! Both of them have stayed away from each other for a year. They both have some form of anger built within them for each other. Gauri is angry that Om gave up on their relationship so easily. He didn't even give long distance relationship a go. He let his commitment issues get the most of him. He didn't once try to get in contact with her. Om is angry with Gauri because she apparently didn't stop him when he was breaking up. He's angry she didn't come to see him when he left for England. He's angry she didn't try to get in touch. They both have valid reasons but these reasons are hindering them from realising their true love." Shivaay spoke and how beautifully he explained the state of the two hearts.

"And we shall make them realise their true love!" Rudra stated.

"Yes Rudy you're right. Ab humai hi kuch karnaa padega!" Anika spoke supporting Rudy.

"No guys. We will not do anything right now." Shivaay said.

"Par kyun Shivaay?" Anika questioned him.

"Exactly bhaiya why? If we won't help them, then who will?" Rudra too questioned Shivaay.

"Guys I'm not saying we shouldn't help them. We will help them but for now let them be by themself. Let them meet, we'll see how they react once they meet. Agar humai lagtaa hai that the love is still there from both of them and that they both definitely want to be together then we'll help them. Right now, they both are adamant that they're not getting back together." Shivaay justified his answer.

"Hmmmm I guess you're right!" Anika spoke.

Next Day:

(Gauri's P.O.V)

It was another normal day at the hospital. I was busy with all my appointments. When I was on my break I looked at my phone and saw a couple of missed calls from Mum. I rang her back.

"Yes mum! You rang?" I spoke with a chirpy voice.

"Yes beta! Actually I wanted to ask what time you finish work today." Mum asked.

"I finish at 6 Mum. Kuch kaam thaa?"

"Yes actually yesterday you slept early so I didn't get to talk to you when we got home. Then I had to leave early for the clinic today so again I didn't get a chance to talk. But basically the Oberoi's were asking about you. Even Rudra wanted to see you. Why don't you go and see them tonight?" The Oberoi's! Just when I get him out of my mind, someone has to remind me again!

"Mum I'm really busy. I won't be able to go today. I have a few files to work on." I made up an excuse.

"Gauri itna bhi kya important kaam hai kai aap thori dair kai liye Oberoi Mansion nahi jaa saktay. I don't care what Gauri, make sure you go meet them today." Mum spoke in a little raised tone which could only mean one thing. She's starting to get irritated with me.

"Mum I'm sorry but I can't go today. Please try to understand." I explained calmly.

"No ifs and no buts Gauri!" Mum almost shouted.

"Mum aap chilla kyun rahi ho? I'm sorry I'm not going today!"

"Hum chilla nahi rahay hai. Hum aapko samjhaa rahay hai. Beta it's your sisters in laws and those two boys are your good friends too. It's not nice if you don't go to see them." Mum is so stubborn but after all I am her daughter. I am just as stubborn as her.

"Mum I didn't say I won't go to see them. It's just that I won't be able to go today. I'll go some other day nah."

"No Gauri! You have to go today!"

"No mumma! I am not going today. Bye I have to go!" On saying this I put the phone down. I felt extremely bad for talking to my mum like that but I just couldn't visit the Oberoi Mansion. I did not have the courage to do so. Mum was clearly very angry at me and this made me feel horrible. After a few minutes I got a call from Ani di.

"Jiji! Thank god you called! Aap ko kaisai pataa chalgayaa I need to talk to you."

"Gauri mum rang me. She told me that you are refusing to come Oberoi Mansion." Mum does this all the time. Whenever I don't listen to her, she'll tell Ani di to speak to me because she knows I can hardly say no to her.

"Jiji you know why I don't want to come." I spoke.

"Yes Gauri lekin kab tak? Kab tak tum avoid karogi?" Anika di asked and well she had a point. Aakhir kab tak hum us sai chupe gai.

"I'm scared. I'm scared I'll break down. I can't cry in front of everyone at the Oberoi mansion. But I don't want to upset mum either. She is adamant I go and see Rudy and Omkara." I explained myself.

"Okay lets do one thing. Why don't we meet tonight for dinner at some restaurant? You, me, Shivaay, Rudra and Om. That way you'll meet OmRu. You won't have to pretend to be normal around Om because we all know everything. Mum will be happy too that you met them." Anika di came up with a solution.

"Di I just don't want to meet him!" I said straight away.

"Gauri how long are you going to avoid him for? Kisi aur kai liye nahi toh maa kai liye please."

"But di...."

"Please Chutki?" Di requested and I eventually gave in.

"Okay fine. Kahaa milnaa hai? Listen I'm not gonna dress up or anything. I'm coming straight from the hospital. I finish at 6." I told Anika di.

"Okay we'll meet around 7. I'll message you details of place." She spoke.

"Theek hai bye!" I put the phone down and took a deep breath. I just hope this day goes well. Why does mum have to be so adamant? Just then I received a message from Mum.

"Thanks for agreeing for lunch with OmRu tonight. That's my princess! Love you! And sorry for shouting! 😊❤️"

"Sorry for being stubborn! 🙈 Love you too! ❤️" I replied back.

I can't believe this is happening. I really don't want to see him. I really don't! I was lost in my thought process when I heard a knock on the door. Priya, my assistant, walked in.

"Doctor Sharma these are the case files for this afternoon. Please have a look through them when you get time. The appointments are fully booked for today afternoon."

"Okay Priya. Thank you. Aapnai lunch kiyaa?" I asked.

"No Doctor. What about you?" She replied.

"Aap jaa kai lunch kar lijyai and I'm not too hungry. I have some fruit in my bag and a sandwich so I'll just eat that."

"Are you sure Doctor? We are working till 6 today. What if you feel hungry after?" Priya asked.

"It's okay Priya. I'm going for dinner after work with my sister, jiju and di's devars. I should be fine. You go and eat."

"Okay Doctor."

"Acha listen before you go, Miss Shivani Singhaniya's case was handled by which doctor before it was passed onto me? I have a few questions to ask that I'm not able to understand in this file." I asked her.

"Doctor it was handled by Doctor Aman." Priya replied.

"Okay that's fine. I'll go speak to him. Is he on his break?" I questioned.

"Yeah."

"Okay I'll go speak to him. You go and have lunch."

"Sure." Saying this Priya smiled and walked out of the cabin.

Priya walked out of the cabin. I had some of my fruit and looked through a couple of files. I then took the file and made my way to Doctor Aman's cabin. I was about to knock when I remembered that he always scolds me for knocking. He always tells me to walk in without knocking. So I walked in saying,

"Good afternoon Aman. I just had a few questions about a case.... oh I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were with a patient. Priya said you were on your break. Urm really sorry to disturb you I'll come back later."

I turned around to walk out of the room when Doctor Aman called out to me.

"Hey it's completely fine Ri. Come inside. I'm not with a patient. I'm with an old friend. I'd love for you to meet him." Aman called me Ri as he felt it went well with my personality. Over these past months, Aman has become a very good friend of mine. He is extremely supportive.

"Ohhh Okay. Are you sure? I mean I don't want to be disturbing you guys." I said.

"Yes I'm sure. Come on in." Aman spoke with a smile.

I smiled and walked towards the two men. When I reached the unknown man, I forwarded my hand out as you would professionally and introduced myself.

"Hiya, I'm Doctor Gauri Sharma. It's a pleasure to meet...." I was about to finish the sentence when the not so unknown man turned around leaving me in complete shock. I did not know how to react.

"Tum?" I said with shock.

"You!" He said with a soft tone.
