Last Golden Ticket

          🍬Wendy's P.O.V🍬

It was the last day before the contest and the fifth ticket had not been found yet. And if it wasn't found that means there's one less kid to get rid of. I had everything ready for the contest, including my outfit, I really don't care what these brats think of me, but Daddy said if we have company I have to dress nice. I went to bed that night, feeling confident that the fifth ticket would never be found in time.

I woke up the next morning and stretched. Daddy didn't wake me up during the night, so the fifth ticket had not been found. I skipped over and put on my outfit and gloves:

Daddy had them custom made for me. I walked down the hall to the breakfast table but my heart stopped when I saw the headline on Daddy's morning newspaper:

FIFTH GOLDEN TICKET FOUND!

"Good morning starshine!" Said Daddy.

"Good morning" I said climbing up on my seat. "Who found the last one?"

"A boy called Charlie Bucket" he read.

"Oh..." I said sipping my chocolate milk.

"And not a moment to soon" he smiled "The tour is today!" He said.

"Yeah..." I said.

He looked at me. "Are you okay, starshine?" He asked "you don't look so hot?"

Maybe if I fake sick, he'll cancel the tour! I thought.

"Uh, actually I do feel under the weather" I fake-coughed "Maybe we should cancel the tour?" I gave him a sickly smile.

"Wendy" he smiled sternly "I've known you long enough to know when your faking."

I frowned. Busted!

"And I know what's going on..." he said.

"Y-you do?" I asked.

"Yes, your scared you won't make any friends with the other kids" he told me "don't worry, there's five of them and at least one of them will like you!"

"Oh...okay..." I said.

"Speaking of which I have to go meet our guests" he kissed my head and left grabbing his coat and sun goggles as he left.

I sighed. What if he likes this Charlie Bucket? And I don't have time to come up with a trap for him.

Three oompa loompas came up to me and did some signs.

"Sorry guys, I don't speak sign language?" I shrugged.

They got a white board and wrote on it: What's on your mind, Wendy?

I sighed, I had to tell someone eventually. "Well, Daddy's bringing all these other kids here and I'm worried he'll use one of them to replace me?" I told them "And what if I have to move to the basement?"

They looked at each other and wrote something new on the board: We don't have a basement.

"I know" I said "anyways thanks for listening, guys." I gave them each a cocoa bean.

"And please don't tell Daddy?" I said.

They held up their right hands in a 'scouts honor' type way.

I smiled and went to the lobby to wait for our guests.

After about five minutes of waiting, I heard Daddy's voice.

"Just drop your coats anywhere" he said to them.

They did and everyone stared as I came around the corner. I put on a big smile as I walked over and hugged Daddy.

They stared from me to my dad, clearly noticing how alike we were.

"Who is that?" Asked Mike.

I frowned and pulled out some cue cards I wrote for myself.

"Hello everyone, my name is Wendy Wonka and it's a pleasure to have you here."

"Wonka?" Asked Violet.

"Yeah" I put my cue cards back in pocket "Willy Wonka is my Daddy."

Everyone seemed unimpressed, well everyone except Charlie.

"Now then" said Daddy turning and starting to walk down the corridor.

I walked beside him trying to keep up, but Violet beat me to it and to make matters worse she stopped to HUG him! Daddy never hugged anyone but me!

Daddy stopped dead in his tracks and gasped.

"Mr. Wonka, I'm Violet Beauregarde" she introduced herself munching on her gum.

"Oh" said Daddy, still shocked.

I got between them and held my Daddy's hand. "We don't care" I painted on a sugary sweet smile.

"Well you should care, cause I'm the girl who's gonna win the special prize at the end!"

"Is that so?" I asked her smirking.

"Well you do seem confident and confidence is key!" Daddy told her.

I frowned.

Then that Veruca girl came in front of us with that same creepy smile she had on the news. I shuddered.

"I'm Veruca Salt, it's very nice to meet you sir" she did a curtsie.

"We always thought a Veruca was a type of wart you got on the bottom of your foot" Daddy laughed.

"It is, Daddy" I nodded "It's called verruca plantaris." I looked it up in a book.

Next Augustus came in front of us "I'm Augustus Gloop, I love your chocolate!"

"I can see that" said Daddy "so do we."

"We never expected to have so much in common with you" I said with a fake smile.

We both turned to look at Mike.

"You. Your Mike Teavee your the little devil that cracked the system" I told him.

Daddy looked at Charlie "and you. Well, your just lucky to be here aren't you?"

Daddy looked at the grown ups. "And the rest of you must be their p-" daddy looked like he couldn't get the words out or he was going to be sick.

"Parents" said Mr. Salt.

"Yeah" said Daddy "moms and dads...dad? Papa?"

My daddy looked scared for a moment then his smile returned.

"Okay then let's move along" Daddy held my hand as we continued walking down the corridor.

We finally made it to the end.

"This is an important room" I told them "after all it is a chocolate factory."

"Then why is the door so small?" Asked Mike.

"It's to keep all the great big chocolaty flavor inside" said Daddy.

I smiled as he pushed open the door.
