Daddy's Little Girl!

🍫Willy's P.O.V 🍫

I was in the inventing room working on my new invention baby chocolate chicks, when one of the oompa loompas came tugging at my coat. I looked down at him as he made some signals with his hands.

I raised both my eyebrows. "Oh she did, did she?" I asked him and walked over to the fudge room.

I walked over to one of the counters where my little baby girl, Wendy, was seated eating from a bowl of chocolate:

I cleared my throat and she looked up at me with big brown innocent eyes.

"Wendy, what are you doing?" I asked trying to be strict. It was hard though, she was so darn cute.

"Da-da!" She smiled up at me.

"No no no, don't you Da-da me, you are in trouble!"

Wendy grabbed the spoon out of the bowl she was eating from and offered it to me like she was saying "want some?"

I took the spoon and licked it. Then picked her up and brought her to the bathroom to clean her up.

             ~Four years later~

Wendy only got cuter as the years passed. When I wasn't working in the factory, I was spending time with her.

"Eight, nine, ten!" I counted down "now where are you, my little Wendy?"

Four year old Wendy came out from behind a candy apple tree in the chocolate room. "I'm right here, Daddy!" She said.

I sighed "Wendy, that's not how you play hide and seek. You hide until I find you, okay?"

"Okay" she said.

"Okay, let's try again" I covered my eyes and went back to counting. When I was done I looked around and she was no where to be found.

After about half an hour of searching I got scared. Where was she?

"Wendy!" I called her name.

When she didn't answer I decided to call the oompa loompas in, they came as quickly as they could.

"Has anyone seen Wendy?" I asked them "I can't find her anywhere."

"Daddy?" I heard a voice say.

I turned and saw Wendy rubbing her eyes.

"Wendy!" I scooped her up and hugged her. "Where did you go, young lady? You scared me to death!"

"I was hiding in my room and I fell asleep" she yawned.

"Okay, new rule of hide and seek: you hide in the room your already in, got it?" I asked.

"Uh-huh" she nodded.

I kissed her forehead and held her in my arms as she went to sleep.

        ~Four more years later~

Eight year old Wendy walked into the kitchen for breakfast that morning and she was getting more and more beautiful each day:

"Good morning Daddy!" She said sitting in her spot beside me.

"Oh! Good morning, sweetheart!" I said.

"How are the candy sales?" She asked me.

"Actually I have some news that's more important than that."

She gasped "more important than candy sales?"

"Yes, Wendy, yesterday I went to my semi annual haircut..." I started.

"And it looks great, daddy" she nodded.

"Thanks lollipop, but there's more to it than that" I told her "I found out... I'm getting older."

She giggled and shook her head. "No, your not, daddy!" She told me "you don't look or act old!"

"Maybe not, but what will happen when I'm not here? There so much to handle around here and you can't do it all alone."

"Well, we have the oompa loompas, they can help me" she said, pouting at the thought of me leaving her.

I took her in my arms. "Wendy, I'm not leaving for a long time, what I'm saying is that I'm going to hold a contest to see who will help you run the factory" I said.

"What?" She asked.

"This morning I hid five golden tickets in five Wonka bars" I explained "and whoever finds them will tour the factory and one of them will run the factory with you."

"Oh...okay!" She said brightly.

"Good girl" I kissed her nose.

"Ùh... I'm going back to my room to pick out an outfit for when they come" she said walking down the hallway.

I watched her go and felt proud that she was accepting this.

Daddy can't bring another kid into the picture! I thought I'm his little girl! And I have been since day one!

"If a new kid comes in here they'll take over everything!" I said once I was alone in my room.

I could just imagine it:

            ~Wendy's thought~

"Daddy, we need more Wonka bars for Moscow and-"

I stopped short when I saw him laughing with a little boy.

"Uh... daddy?" I asked him.

He turned and looked at me. "Oh, your still here?" He said turning his nose up at me.

"Um yeah, I live here" I reminded him.

"Yeah about that... your room is going to my new favorite kid" he said without any regret in his voice.

"What? Where will I sleep then?" I asked.

"The basement" he answered simply.

"We have a basement?" I asked.

"Yeah" he opened a door I had never seen before behind him.

We walked down a long flight of stairs into a dark, dirty room with rats and spiders.

"This is my new room?" I asked him, shocked.

"Yeah, oh and here's your dinner" He handed me a plate with a small piece of cheese on it.

My mouth gaped open slightly. "What?" I asked.

"Good night!" He called sprinting up the stairs.

"What? Daddy please! Don't leave me here!" I called tears welling in my eyes.

He shut the door and I heard him locked it.

"Daddy!" I yelled.

But he didn't hear me, I sat in the corner and cried.

               ~End of thought~

Well that's not going to happen to me. Daddy isn't going to forget about me and I'm going to make sure of it.

I went over to my desk and started to draw out plans. The title of my plan was Operation: Save Daddy.
