Its been about a month since I arrived at Erebor and a month since you've really talked to anyone besides Bofur. I couldn't get mad at him, he just too nice. The only reasons I've left the house was to get food for Bofur and I, or go down to the river to wash our clothes. Even though he always insisted that he did them, when he left I left to do the clothes. I finally told him about my past and my powers, surprisingly he took everything really well. We were like brother and sister now.

But today when Bofur left, I did the laundry. I had just gotten back and started to hang the clothes when Bofur walked in.

"Hey lass where are you?" he yelled.

"One minute!"I yelled back. After about two minutes I walked out to the living room.

"So lass, have you got something nice to wear?" he asked.

"I have a couple of things, why?" I asked him.

"Well as you know the lads talk about you and ask about you very day at the meetings." he always told me what they said and asked. I wanted to talk to them now, but I just couldn't find the words to. I felt bad about blowing up at them but it felt good, like lifting something off my shoulders. 

"What did they say today?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, just that your invited to the princes birthday party." My eyes went wide.

"You can't be serious!!" I shouted and he laughed "I-I can't go" I said.

"Oh your going lass. Even if I have to pick you up in your night gown and carry you there" he said looking into my eyes. "Your not getting out of this sis" he said smiling. 'Did he just call me sis' I said to yourself. I'm so excited. I jumped up and hugged him tight and he hugged back. "So this means your coming?" he asked pulling away.

 "Yes, yes it does!" I smiled. 

"Go get ready than!" I ran to my room but then back out. "Wait here I want your help!" I said than ran back into my room. I grabbed my two dresses and put them on the bed. I first put on a dark blue floor length dress with sparkles all over it. I walked out of the room and stood in front of Bofur 

"Well?" I asked, and spun around. 

"Well if you want to look like a blue berry" he said laughing. It was a bit to fluffy. So I went back and changed into a bright pink floor length dress that had a white shash that tied into a bow. Again I stood in front of Bofur. "It kinda works...." he said circling me. 

"Kinda?" I asked.

"Well lass, I just well don't feel it. I think its the pink. Just doesn't look good on you." He said and with that I walked back into the room and stood there. 

"Great now I have nothing to wear" I said kicking the wall. I sat on the bed ready to cry but then I realized. I still had one more dress, running over to my dresser I pulled out the green dress I found. I slid it on, and walked over to the mirror. "Perfect!!! And it fits perfectly!" I said smiling at myself.

"Bofur, close your eyes!" I shouted walking out. He did, I stood in front of him again but this time wearing not only a beautiful simple dress but a big smile. "Ok open!" I said. When he opened his eyes, I saw a smile on his face. 

"Now lass that's the one. It fits you well!" he said getting up. "Now its my turn, but this time I only need you to tie my tie!" he said walking into his room.

I walked back into my room. Put on little makeup, just enough to make my eyes pop. I looked at my hair and combed it. "What to do?" I said. I thought for a moment. "Got it!" I shouted. I  finished brushing my hair, then parted it. With the top part I put two braids going down the side of my head to the back. Then I combined them letting the one braid fall back. I left my bottom part of my hair free, it looked nice half down, half up. Then there was a knock on the door. "Its open!" I shouted, Bofur walked in. He was wearing a nice shirt, with a tie hanging down. He had no hat on but his hair was back. But he still had his pants on with his boots. I knew that he wouldn't dress all the way up. I walked over and tied his tie. He smiled at me. When I was done I stepped back.

"Ready lass?" he asked. I got my locket, put it on then linked my arm with his.

"Ready!" I said with excitement "Good cause were late!!!" he said pulling me out the door and locking it. Then grabbed my arm and ran. We hurried down the stairs and halls.

(Balin's POV)

I haven't seen Erudite in about a month. No one has talked to her besides Bofur. That's reminds me were are they he said he was bringing her no matter what. So I walked over to Thorin and Dwalin that were watching Fili and Kili dancing with girls.

"Ya think they might get married soon?" Dwalin said to Thorin.

"Maybe but if not I might have to arrange a marriage for them." Thorin spoke but I shook my head.

"Hey lads have you seen Bofur or Erudite?" I asked them. When they were about to answer we heard the door open and Bofur pulled Erudite inside. She looked scared.

"Found her!" Dwalin spoke up. We all laughed. Then I saw Fili and Kili walking up to us.

"Who's the cute one?" Kili asked. "Yeah she's stunning." Fili added. Thorin and Dwalin laughed. "What's so funny" Fili asked. But I had a big smile on my face.

"Lads that is my daughter, Erudite" I said proudly. Then there months dropped.

"Wait you made that!" Kili said. But Fili hit him before I could "Her, not that!" Fili said.

"Yes, her. Would you like to meet her?" I asked them. I swear they looked like they had just gotten a new weapon, when I said that. 

"CAN WE!" they asked at the same time. I laughed at there reactions "stay here." I told them walking away to get my daughter.

She was in the corner with Bofur, Ori and Nori. They were laughing it looked like she was having a great time, and I hope she was I just hope I wouldn't ruin it. I tapped her on her shoulder and she turned around. She wore a beautiful smile on her face. She looked like her mother.

"Dad!" she asked, and hugged me tight. I really didn't expect that.

"Yes dear. I have a question for you." I said letting go of her.

"Anything!" she said with a smile.

"Would you like to meet some people?" I asked. She didn't say anything, just looked shocked. But after a minute or two she finally said yes.

(Erudite's POV)

I just said yes to my dad. Who were they? Were they nice, mean, weird? OK I'm the only weird one around here. I don't have a beard and my skin is like silk. I'm so weird. I took my dads arm and he lead me to them. I saw Thorin and my uncle standing by two boys. We stopped. "Lads my daughter Erudite" He said. 

"Hello..." I said quietly.

"Fili" the blonde headed one said "and Kili" the brown headed one said "at your service" they both said with a bow. I laughed.

"Erudite, at yours." I said with a bow. 

"So las can I have this dance?" Kili asked me, holding his hand out. I was about to take it but then I realized that I promised Ori my first dance, if I ever decided to. 

"Sorry, I can not." I said.

 "Why?" he asked looking sad. 

"I'm promised Ori my first dance of the night. Maybe after two songs. We can dance" I said turning to find Ori. I soon found him, still in the corner with Bofur. They saw me coming and he stood. "Ready?" I asked. He took my hand and then we were dancing. I laughed at his jokes and I told him more about myself. But I wasn't looking at him, I found myself watching Fili. 'Man he's really cute' I thought. He was also staring at me. But then I lost sight of him.

Soon someone tapped on Ori's shoulder. It was Fili, and I was excited. But why?

"Can I steal the miss?" He asked Ori nodded and left. Fili grabbed my left hand and put it in his right. Then placed his left hand on my waist. I smiled at this.

"So lass, you look beautiful." Fili said blushing.

"Thank you. But not as good as the prince!" I said back.

"Well it took me sometime to look like this. After traveling to Mirkwood, then to the Iron hills the next day."

"Smelly, and dirty!" I said laughing.

"Exactly!" he said. Then something snapped in me. He was the one, you saw when you were on your way too Erebor. He was the one you had feelings for, only by seeing his face. "DAMN" I whispered out loud.

"What was that?" Fili asked.

"Nothing, just shocked I'm dancing with a prince." I said trying to hide my red face.

"I know that this is my party, but it is really boring. Wanna leave?" He asked.

"Sure but Thorin and your mom aren't gonna let you leave." I said stopping.

"That's why we're not gonna tell them." Now he had a devilish smile. 'Oh no what have I done' I thought.
