(FILIS POV)

Its been a week since the fight. Erudite was still out cold. I'm blaming myself for what happened. Well it was my fault, why did I have to say it then. 'Ugh' I shouted punching the wall. I haven't talked to anyone, I've been here waiting for her to wake up. Bofur's really the only one I've talked to, well because I'm here all the time now. He's the only one that knows how I feel about her. I'm just glad no one heard me besides Erudite.

"Lad that won't help, anything by punching the wall." Bofur said walking into the room.

"You heard me, how?" I asked.

"I live here don't I?" He laughed. I just looked at Erudite "Lad she will come through soon. Dwalin did hit her pretty hard. Have you tried talking to her. See if she can hear us or maybe you?"

"You think?" I asked him.

"Well its worth a try really, what can it hurt?" I nodded and walked Erudite's side. I grabbed her right hand and took it in mine. I started rubbing my thumb against her hand.

"Well hey so...um.. I'm sorry about your head and I understand if your mad at me when you wake up. But I'm just so upset with myself. Honestly if I could go back I won't have said anything. Actually I probably messed everything up between us.........just.....if.....well if you can hear me please, just give me a sign." I was in tears now, cause I know I messed up. I tear fell on her hand and a finger moved. "Wait tears are water right. Yes, you stupid, well a type. And you can bend water. What if it helps heal you?" I felt her finger move again. I took it as a sign.

"BOFUR!!" I yelled he came running in.

"What is it, is she waking up?"

"We kinda, but go get my horse and I need you to be a distraction please." I asked him.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"To the river I have a plan. Just please distract everyone so they don't see me take her out of the kingdom please."

"You have my word!" He said before leaving to get my horse. I grabbed Erudites cloak, the one I gave her and a light blue dress. I put the dress and shoes, along with her sword and daggers in a bag . I grabbed some soap and closed the bag. I heard Bofur walk in, so I put the bag on.

"Help me put Erudite's cloak on, it will help her hide." Bofur helped me and I walked out the door and got on my horse, then Bofur handed me Erudite.

"Be safe, I've sent word that you wanted everyone as in the company at the Kings hall. They should all be there by now. I'll keep them distracted as long as I can. But as soon as you pass the gates. You know that one of the guards will run and tell Thorin you left without telling anyone." Bofur said.

"Yes I know, but please make sure they don't come after me, well us." Bofur nodded, I kicked my horse into a run. We were soon at the gate, luckily it was open. So I kicked my horse again. I heard people shout my name but I kept going. We were soon at the woods that had the river. I got off of my horse and pulled Erudite off. I walked through the forest reaching the river. I let my horse go then took off Erudite's cloak then walked in the water until it was to my knees.

"Your gonna hate me for this." I said before throwing her in the water. I sat in in water, she was under for about a minute before she surface. She looked confused and angry at the same time. I just laughed at her.

(ERUDITES POV)

I was soaking wet. I heard Fili laughing, I shot him a glare but he kept laughing.

"You think its funny?" I asked.

"Yes actually, its very funny." Just then I got an idea. I run to him and knocked him in the water. But he pulled me with him. When we both resurfaced we were laughing, to the point it was hurting. I put my arms around his neck for support. We soon stopped laughing, I looked at Fili. His face looked like he wanted to cry.

"Fili was wrong, why are you going to cry?" I asked he pushed away from me.

"I almost got you killed. You've been unconscious for a week and I just now figured out how to wake up. I know you like the the back the of my hand, but it took me so long to find out. I shouldn't have said that to you during the fight. I should have waited. I'm blaming myself for what happened. Dwalin feels terrible, but not as much as I do. Oh by the way Brill came in second, she moved on. I've been so scared the past week. I've hurt my hands I don't know how many times, now because I'm so angry with myself. You have no ide-" I cut Fili off my ramming my lips into his. After about a minute, we broke apart.

"You know you talk a lot?" I asked him.

"Yes I know, so wait your not mad?" I laughed.

"Fili yes you could have picked a better time. And yes I got hurt, but Fili I'm happy you finally told me. I'm still mad but I'll get even with you!" He chuckled then kissed me again. "Fili did you bring soap so maybe I can clean myself?"

"Yes I did. I'll leave you here. I'll go down aways so I can too. Everything's in your bag." He said before leaving. I soon got out after he left. I took out the clothes he brought me and the soap. I took off my clothes then went back to the river. I was done in about 10 minutes, so I got out and dried off. I put on my dress.

"He just had to pick the most reviling one didn't he?" I said ouT loud. I put my belt on.

"It's just a little of your sides and when you walk your legs show. What's wrong with that?" I jumped at Fili's voice. I turned to see him wearing only pants. My eyes widened, he was ripped.

'Stop staring, stop stop Erudite look away. Be a good girl look away!' I thought but I couldn't stop staring. I heard Fili chuckle.

"Like what you see lass?" I looked away, trying to hide my red cheeks. I felt him hug me from behind. "Well, you know you have to answer me."

"Umm....yes I did but put a shirt on okay." I said moving away from him. He did as I asked, he put our wet clothes in the bags and tied them to him horse. While I put my belt on and put my sword away. I sat down and undid the braid that Fili had done a month ago. My hair was dry now.

"Want me to redo it?" I hear Fili ask. I nodded and he went to work. Again he put his crest at the bottom. 

"So I guess, your actually mine now. You don't have to hide it." He said pulling me in his lap.

"Fili, can we keep us a secret for now. Cause I think its a bad time to tell them." He nodded.

"Secret?" I asked. He looked at me. "Secret!" He finally said. Then kissed my head.

"It would look bad wouldn't it?" He asked "Yes!" I said laughing.

"So is that it, your birthmark. Now I understand why people think its a tattoo." He pointed to my arm.

"Yes it is, but I guess I'm just gonna people it is from now on. But it looks cool doesn't it?"

"It does if I could get a tattoo like that I would. But I don't want anymore."

"Ohh that remind me I got seven more."

"What, when, show me!"

"Fili I can't, but you remember that one day I told you, you couldn't come to Dale with me. Then I came back to Erebor and you got mad at me because I was in pain and I wouldn't tell you"

"That's what you did, so I was mad at you for a couple days cause you didn't want to tell me you got tattoos. And you could still tell me what they are"

"Fine the one from Dale is in Elvish, it says 'My heart lies in Middle-Earth'. Five are Dwarven runes and the last is the word journey, written in dwarvish. They all revolve around one thing you know." Fili looked at me then the sky.

"For all your time around Middle-Earth trying to find your dad." He said looking at me. 

"I'm sorry." I looked at him.

"Fili you don't need to be sorry, no one does. Honestly I'm just glad I have a place to call home now. I learned a lot from traveling, different languages, cultures and new friends. It wasn't that bad." I said with a smile.

"Promise you won't leave." He asked.

"I promise, unless someone tells me to." He nodded then looked at the sky again. It was getting dark out now. I sighed not wanting to leave but I know we had too. I got up and helped Fili up. We got on his horse and rode back to Erebor.

"Wait what's the plan?" I asked.

"I took you to Dale, to a healer."

"And the dress, no one besides you and Bofur know I have it."

"The healer gave it to you, she doesn't fit in it. Oh hide the braid if you don't want people to know."

"Okay but why did I have to go to a healer?"

"Because you needed help and you are 'good friends' with her."
