A\N So the dresses above are the dresses Erudite buys, when she's out with Lindell. But anyways I'll always have a Picture for each chapter, I really don't know why I want then there. Its just one of those things I guess.

Today is the day of the ball, and I'm now a month pregnant. Most of the morning sickness was gone but I still had it from time to time. Bofur's been really excited about have a niece or a nephew. I haven't told him the I'm having twins yet but I've been hinting it to him and he seemed excited either way. I really haven't left the house, I've done my work here because I really haven't been feeling 100% since mine and Fili's fight.

But today I had to go out and get food for Bofur and I. He left early to help with the ball but said he would be back in time to help me get ready for it. I got dressed and grabbed a basket from his room and left. As I was locking the door I hear a person stop behind me.

"Erudite, is that you?" I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned to see my best friend Lindell before me. I ran and hugged her."I take it, it is you!" She said. I cupped her face in my hands.

"Lindell, what are you doing here?"

"I've come to see you dear." She said smiling. I grabbed her hand. "Where are we going?"

"Well I need to get food, other than that were would you like to go." I asked.

"I was hopping to get new dresses, you know like the old times." Lindell said smiling.

"Of course, I know this great place down in Dale. Come on!" I said grabbing Lindell arm once more, pulling her all the way down to the horse stable. "Did you bring your own horse?" I questioned, getting on Randsome.

"I did but he's way too tired, can I just tag along with you?" She asked and I nodded, giving her my hand to help her up. As we started walking, I heard a guard yelling behind me. So I stopped and saw him walk up next to us.

"M'lady Erudite, where do you think your going?" He ask 

"I'm taking my friend into Dale." I answered and he nodded. I was about to go before he stopped me again. 

"M'lady what if sir Fili is looking for you, you have a dinner tonight. You know that right." He said 

"Yes I do know, but if Sir Fili ask were I have gone tell him I'm away in Dale and I'll be back in time." I smiled "Oh and tell him I will be bring a friend!" I looked back at Lindell, she was smiling. 

"As you wish M'lady!" He ended and walked away. 

"M'lady? And who's Fili?" Lindell asked. But I just looked forward with a frown.

(Fili's POV)

I haven't talked to Erudite in maybe a week. I really didn't want to but a part of me did. Yes, I had some good points she would always be with Thorin, Kili, Bofur ,but she lived with him and she would talk with some guys in Erebor here and there. Bofur and Kili say I'm jealous but I don't think so. I just have a feeling she's keeping something from me and I think she's keeping a second lover around.

I was sitting down at the table. Thorin was at the head of the table, me and Kili one either side of him. Dwalin sat down next to me and Balin sat next to Kili. Mother wasn't there but knowing her from the party last night, she probably got drunk and had a hang over today.

"Matters first, today is the night that Dáin and his family is coming. His daughter and son will be here to night as well. Maybe one of you boys could get close with his daughter, and marry her." With that I sat back in the chair and my smile went away. But he continued, "Balin how old is Erudite?" He asked 

"Fili how old are you?" Balin asked. 

"I'm 84" I answered proudly.

"Then she is 82, two years younger than Fili." He said winking at me.

"Well, maybe she can get to know his son. Maybe something will happen with them." I felt anger fill my body, but I knew I couldn't let them know I was upset. Then they would know and that's not what we wanted. So I kept my feelings in.

"Kili, you will dance with his daughter first. Then you Fili-" He pointed at me. "will dance with her next. See if anything sparks with you two. I hope to be attending a wedding soon." We all laughed at his words. He always loved a good wedding, when he could go to one. Just then a guard came through the door. I got up and walked to him.

"What is it?" I asked. 

"M'lady!" he answered. I knew it was about Erudite, we went to the corner. But I knew everyone was watching. 

"What about her?" I whispered.

"She has left to Dale, with a friend I think. She said she would be back later." He said back. Who was her 'friend' was it her other lover. I nodded and dismissed him but Thorin called him back over. I sat down back in my chair. Thorin called in two more guards.

"What was that?" Thorin asked. 

"Nothing!" I said. 

"Fili stopped, what are you hiding?" He asked. 

"Nothing sir, I simply told him that his clothes are in his room. Then I asked him to give a message to Balin about his daughter. I saw you were in a meeting and didn't want to disturb you that's all." He ended then walked out. Thank god he didn't tell them. 

"So Fili what is it?" Balin asked me. 

"Erudite has simply went to Dale to find a new dress for to night. Also that she has a friend with her." I said. 

"But how did she get the money?" Now all eyes were on me.

"I do not know Bofur probably gave her some." Was all I said. They believed me and soon the meeting was over so I went to get ready for tonight.

(Erudite's POV)

I have tried on maybe 15 dresses now and Lindell hasn't liked any of them. Plus it was getting late. I already had two, but they weren't fancy enough for tonight's dance. One was a violet color that had little straps and that had lace on it. The other was green simple dress with gold ribbon that went under my boobs. I loved them both, they were really pretty. Plus they hid my baby bump that was forming. But soon the Maybell came back with a Black and white dress. It was fancy, the black parts were vines going up the dress and the corset was black it looked beautiful. I put it on, then walked out to see Lindell in the same dress design but it was black and dark purple.

"Well looks like we have the same taste!" She said laughing. I laughed too.

"Well I'm done. Are you, cause you only have one dress dear?"

"I only need one dress, I can't stay long you know that." She said looking down.

"Yes, I know but let's make the most of it. Let's change and I'll pay for the dress." She nodded and we went to change. I was done pretty fast cause I know she wouldn't let me pay for hers. I walked up to the Maybell. Who already packed them up for me.

"So how's your father, dear." Maybell asked. I knew she liked him, and I thought it was adorable.

"Better than ever, why aren't you coming today anyway? I know he asked you."

"I have a wedding party coming in and maybe this one won't be so. Ahh let's say a nasty witch." I laughed at her, she laughed to. I paid her and Lindell came out. I opened the door to leave. "Your always welcome her, deary. Hope to see you soon!" I waved before, closing the door.

We soon got back to Randsome, then head back to Erebor.

"So are you gonna drink tonight?" Lindell asked.

"No, don't really feel up to it. But I know a person you can drink with." She gave me a confused look, but said nothing. After a couple of minutes of silence we were back at Erebor. We put Randsome away and went back to my house. Hopefully Bofur wasn't back yet. My wish came true when we came home to an empty house.

"I'm gonna take a bath, were is the room?"

"Down the hall, then when your done. This is my room change in here." I said opening my door. Then she went her way and I went mine. I first did my hair. I braided it adding in a green ribbon to it. Then my makeup, nothing over the top just casual. I put on my dress and I heard the door open. I saw Lindell walking down the hall, all ready. We both walked up to Bofur.

"Bofur this is Lindell, Lindell this is Bofur." They both smiled and shook each others hands.

"Both of you look great but does the little one have enough room. The dress isn't to tight?" He asked me. I looked over at Lindell she had a confused look again.

"Yes Bofur the dress is lose enough for the little one. But remember I'm only a month along." I sighed, knowing Lindell was still confused.

"Okay you need to start talking and talk now!" She said crossing her arms.

"Lindell I was waiting to tell you but I guess I'll tell you now." I took a big breath and let it out. "I'm a mouth pregnant, today." She said nothing, I looked down at the floor. After about sometime of silence. I heard her scream and arms wrap around me. She pulled away seconds later.

"Wait who's the dad?" I looked at Bofur and sighed.

"Its the Fili guy you asked about earlier. I haven't told him yet and we haven't talked in a week. Actually two if fights don't count."

"No it doesn't and why did you fight?" She asked

"He thinks she cheated on him with another guy because they haven't talked because she was busy do her work so she can have money. And he was busy learning about being king." Bofur said.

"Your kidding?" She asked, I nodded. "Well know what this ball is gonna be our own little party for you. And don't let that 'man' put you down. Let's go and have some fun!" Lindell shouted. "Oh wait no drinking for you though."

"Obviously!" I laughed taking Bofur's arm.

"Shall we girl's?" He asked.

"We shall!" Lindell and I said at the same time. With that we headed to the ball.

I actually felt like I could do this. And that I had wonderful friends. Nothing and I mean nothing could possibly bring me down. Or at least that's what I thought.
