"I'm so glad we finally do something outside of the school!" Sayori cheerfully said as the four girls sat in the bus.
Monika smiled at Sayori. "I am as well. We never really do anything together. This will definetly deepen our friendship!" She said.
"Natsuki, did you bring the snacks?" Sayori leaned close to Natsuki, who was sitting next to her. "Of course I did! I know that you're hungry all the time." Natsuki replied with her usual annoyed tone.
Yuri, who sat next to Monika and across from Natsuki and Sayori looked up from the book she was reading. "Can you keep it down? I'm trying to read." She calmly said and tucked her hair behind her ear before continuing to read.
Natsuki let out an annoyed sigh. "You could talk to us for once instead of just reading all the time!" Natsuki wailed.
Yuri sighed and closed the book. She put it in her bag and looked at Natsuki. "What do you want to talk about then, Natsuki?" Yuri asked.
Natsuki looked out the window. "Uhh..." She didn't really seem to know what to answer. "Hey, let's play a small game!" Sayori suggested.
"I like that idea!" Monika beamed. "How does the game work?" She asked.
"First, we need to choose a topic. For example Food, Nature or Geographical Stuff." Sayori began. "Let's take Nature! Monika said. Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Okay! Now, I'll start by saying "Rose". The word ends with an e, so the next person has to find a word with e that fits the topic! Yuri, it's your turn." Sayori pointed at Yuri, who seemed to think.
"Echinacea!" Yuri said. "A..." Monika looked around. "Wait, what the fuck is a Echinacea?" Natsuki asked and looked at Yuri as if she wasn't believing her. "It's a Coneflower." Yuri replied.
"Does that even exist?" Natsuki still didn't seem to believe her. "Of course it does!" Yuri yelled. "Just because you don't know it doesn't mean it doesn't exist!"
Like that, the two girls began arguing. Monika and Sayori looked at each other a little insecure. "Guys..." Sayori tried to talo to them, but both girls gave her a death glare.
---
While walking from the bus station to the beach, Natsuki and Yuri still argued about the existence of that flower. Monika got really annoyed by it and decided to put a stop to it. "Yuri! Natsuki!" She shouted and stood infront of them.
They both stopped talking and looked at Monika. "Stop arguing already. We wanted to have a fun day at the beach! It doesn't matter if the flower exists or not, got it?" Monika said with an annoyed tone.
Both girls nodded. "Sorry." They said in sync and walked behind Monika and Sayori.
---
When they finally arrived, they looked for a nice spot to settle. They found a nice place with not many people around. Monika was the first one to take of her clothes. All of the girls wore their swimsuits underneath their clothing.
"Come on guys! Let's go for a swim!" Sayori shouted as she ran towards the waves. She had taken off her clothes already as well.
Yuri put up her hair in a bun. "I... I think I'll stay here for now!" She said a little nervous. "Huh? What's the matter, Yuri?" Natsuki asked. "It's burning hot! You can't stay in those clothes." She implied.
Yuri was wearing a long sleeved, black shirt along with a white skirt. "Uhh..." Yuri looked at her arm. She didn't want the others to judge her for her scars. Also, she wasn't really confident about her body.
Sayori and Monika came over to Yuri as well now. "Come on, Yuri! The water is wonderful!" She smiled.
"I don't know..." Yuri mumbled and looked down. "Are you ashamed maybe? Or afraid to show your body?" Monika asked. "Don't be! Your body is beautiful, Yuri!" Sayori quickly said.
Yuri looked up to them. Everyone had their own flaws, and she wouldn't judge any of them for it. They were beautiful, no matter which flaws they have.
Yuri let out a sigh. "I guess you're right." Yuri said. The three girls still looking at her. She turned a little red. "Can you please stop staring at me while I take my clothes off?" She asked.
The girls all chuckled and turned around. Yuri stopped off her clothing and played with the strands she didn't put in the bun. She always did that when she felt embarrassed.
"You can... turn around again..." Yuri mumbled. Sayori's face lit up. "You're beautiful, Yuri! Don't worry so much." She cheerfully said. Yuri saw how Natsuki's and Monika's eyes went to her arms.
Yuri looked at the two, both of them just smiled at her. "Let's go now!" Natsuki said and took Yuri by the hand, dragging her towards the water.
---
They all had lots of fun at the beach. They played in the water, ate Natsuki's self made snacks and talked to each other about almost everything.
All of them felt how the connection between them was getting better and better. They opened up to each other, talked about themselves and had fun together.
"Today was great." Monika said as she looked at the setting sun through the window of the bus. "I agree! I'm glad that we got to talk a lot more about each other." Sayori, who was sitting next to Monika this time, smiled brightly.
Natsuki had fallen asleep and was leaning against Yuri's shoulder. Yuri glanced over to her and smiled to herself as her eyes went back to her book.
"Echinacea really do exist." Yuri silently said with a slightly mocking tone. "Shut up." Natsuki nuzzled against Yuri's shoulder.
Monika chuckled. She was happy how well the two got along now.
