Back to Cara's POV

"Alright team..." I said as I turned around to face them. They looked at me. I touched the scar on my face and felt my short and then took a deep breath. "This is the battle... deciding who fights who... are we ready?" I asked as I looked at them.

They nodded. Oara, then put her hand up to stop everyone's nods. She then looked at me and said, "On one condition."

"What's that?" I asked.

"We have to chant our catch-phrase," Oara said. We all started laughing as Oara extended her hand. I shook it.

"Deal," I said as I smiled at her and turned back around. I then heard the gong ring. "Alright, let's do this Thundervile style!" I yelled. My team cheered. I then glanced at Drake who quirked a brow at me. I shrugged. He then glanced at Mira and then back at me. I then tilted my head in question as I looked at him and then at Mira.

"Come here, Cara!" Mira yelled.

"Mira, I'll handle it," Drake said as he looked straight ahead and started leading his team to the first obstacles. I followed along... but I realized when I got there that no one in team Scaleneburg was trying to fight my team. I then looked at the other team who we were fighting... Firecrackers was the name. They glared at us and then back at there weapons. I then looked at Drake.

"What—"

"Mira wants to team up with your team," Drake blurted.  I then looked at my team behind me chanting our catch-phrase. Bring on the lighting, we got the thunder...

"What? No!" I said.

"Why not?" Drake asked.

"Um... more like why would?" I said. "Why on earth would we team up? That's a guarantee that we would have to fight each other," I said.

"Well... maybe that's not a bad thing," Drake said as he looked at me straight in the eyes.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean, think about it. One of us just has to surrender—"

"We can't surrender!" I yelled. "Drake, you know what happens to the people who surrender."

Drake stayed silent. He barely breathed. "But... you're not going to be the one to surrender," Drake whispered.

"No—"

"I've already decided," Drake said as he nodded at Mira and ran off to do an obstacle.
