Dixie P.O.V.

Damien had decided to visit even though it had only been two weeks since I moved here. I had gotten on the cheerleading team with a lot of fighting from Cheryl's side. Damien was twenty-eight now and had matured from when he first came to live with Bruce. 

"Dames, if you're not going to pay rent then you got to get out," I said playing the black and gray piano in the corner.

"You guys have a talent show coming up right?" Damien asked looking around.

"Yeah, and I'm trying to practice you ass," I said laughing as he played the lowest note on the piano.

{That moment when your grammar check wants it to be your ass, not you ass.}

"How about since I dropped in unexpected, I'll sing with you," Damien offered to make me consider letting him stay with me a little longer. 

"Fine the show is next week," I said grabbing my bag and walking out of the apartment. I pulled into the school lot and saw Archie and Jughead standing with the girls.

"Hey Dixie!" Betty said when I came over and sat down next to them at one of the tables.

"Hey guys, Archie I heard from Ronnie that you have a seriously good voice," I said thinking that he would be a better partner than Damien.

"I guess I'm okay," Archie said laughing a little.

"Well my brother is in town and I'm sure that he would love to hear you sing sometime," I said slipping a way to get Archie to accept that he has talent. Damien Wayne was always known as an amazing talent seeker and made stars out of the small-town kids that no one would think about.

"What does Tim have to do with anything?" Ronnie asked thinking of my nerdy CEO coffee obsessed brother.

"Of course Bruce never told anyone about Damien, that's just like him," I said making the others look at me with wide eyes. "What?" I asked seeing them look above me. 

"How nice to know that you care for me darling sister," Damien said sarcastically. "I can handle father just fine without you getting in the way. Come now, we have to practice don't we," Damien said nodding to the building.

"You guys can feel free to watch," I said walking the route to the music room. Damien sat at the piano and played a few cords before starting to play a familiar tune.

"Holy shit that was awesome, no one else should even bother!" Ronnie said and Archie looked a little defeated.

"Aren't you guys siblings?" Jughead asked making me laugh.

"Yeah, we've been singing this song together ever since I got kidnapped the first time and he saved me. He told me that if there was enough love in the family to go around that we could all look out for each other. I don't think that there was ever a time that I was so scared," I said making Betty look at me in shock.

"There were other times you were kidnapped?" Archie asked.

"It's not uncommon is Gotham, rich people get kidnapped and adults that want a kid rape the rich so they can have an excuse to get into that family. It's a terrible place to live but there really is no escape, the city is like a drug you have to back and get more," Damien said looking over at me.

There's no way out.
