3rd person

We see Y/n up on a tree branch overlooking a clearing while Jaune, Nora, and Ren are below him near the base of the tree behind a fallen tree trunk.

Jaune: We need to focus.

Y/n: Focusing on the task at hand is better.

Nora: Oh yeah, and please tell us why you're not helping again?

Y/n: I'm practically a god with a nuke on his back. You need to better yourselves if you want to take on Cinder and her group.

Y/n gestures to the big boy fat man from fallout 4 with the nuka nuke launcher mod.

Y/n: I can't die permanently because of Ghost here. Even though there is a technical way to kill him, he can't die still because of the mechanics in place, and I'm not enabling the special zones from the same game.

Jaune: He is right about that he'll only jump in when it's a life or death situation. Also, Jnrr is way cooler.

Nora: Exactly.

Y/n: I'm with Ren Rnjr is better.

There was a sudden rumble that caused Ren and Nora to stumble a bit.

Jaune: It's here.

After a few short moments, gunshots can be heard as Ruby falls into some trees nearby, followed by a Grimm geist. It swung at Ruby, but she easily dodged the swing from its boulder of an arm.

Jaune: Let's get it off her.

Ren jumped into the tree next to mine.

Nora: Don't forget me.

Nora pulls out Magnhild and shoots it at the ground, propelling herself into the air with excited whooping. She lands right besides Ren in his branch.

Ren: We need to draw its attention away from Ruby!

As a stream of rose petals, Ruby flies past them.

Ruby: Could use some help!

Nora shoots the Grimm in the back. Ren hops around on branches. The Grimm tries to hit Ren. Ren runs up its rock arm, flies into the air, and comes down upon the Grimm, striking at it with StormFlower. It's ineffective.

Jaune: Gotta get in closer!

Ren lands beside Jaune.

Ren: My blades don't hurt him!

The Grimm turns, standing upright.

Nora: Crap!

Ruby: How about this?!

She loads a magazine with an image of a lightning bolt on its side into Crescent Rose and fires. Electric bolts encase one of the Grimm's arms. The red lines on the arm glow brighter, and the Grimm slams it into the ground.

Y/n: Remember, pokemon Ruby electric is not effective against rock and ground.

All are sent flying backwards, but Ren, Nora, and Ruby manage to land on their feet. Jaune tumbles along the ground painfully until he hits a boulder between his legs and falls forward.

Jaune: (mimicking) "You'll be fine without a weapon. You're the strategist."

Nora: That's it!

She runs forward, tossing Magnhild into the air and transforming it into hammer mode. She jumps into the air and hits it, breaking its arm apart. A large piece flies straight toward Nora, but Ruby gets between them and knocks it away. The Grimm uses its other arm to strike at the two girls.

Jaune straightens and stretches and soon has to dodge a barrage of rocks.

Jaune: Wha? Whoa! Wha? Ho!

Jaune lands.

Jaune: Hey! Be careful!

A rock the size of his head hits him in the face and sends him into a tree. Jaune lands in a crouch and shakes his head to clear the pain.

Y/n: You good Jaune!

Jaune: Just peachy.

The Grimm continually tries and fails to hit an evasive Nora.

Jaune stands up and looks up at the Grimm.

Jaune: Ah...

The Grimm's armless shoulder gains a glowing red circle with a symbol of an eye in the middle. The circle spins, and then a black, elongated arm with clawed fingers emerges from it. The arm rears back.

Jaune: Uh-oh.

The Grimm shoves its new arm into the tree Jaune was leaning against and lifts it from the ground.

Jaune: (running) His arm is a tree! His arm is a tree!

Ruby: Big mistake!

Ruby spins Crescent Rose and loads another magazine into it - this one with imagery of fire on its side. She fires, and the flaming projectile swings around to the tree arm. Jaune fist pumps. The tree arm swings around to him, on fire. Jaune loses his smile.

Y/n: Only you can prevent forest fires. Which means in this situation do you want to burn the whole forest down.

Jaune: (putting his hands into his hair and running) Big mistake!

The Grimm chases Jaune, swinging the flaming arm at him. It misses twice, but then Jaune falls. One of StormFlower spins through the air and makes a cut across the Grimm's mask. The Grimm falls.

Ren lands beside Jaune and catches his gun. Ruby and Nora come up behind their teammates.

Jaune: Okay, how do we do this?

Ren: His body is too thick to break through.

Jaune: It doesn't care about its body.

Nora: Plus it can keep grabbing new limbs!

Jaune: But it keeps protecting its face.

Ruby: We can't break it!

Jaune: Ugh, if we knocked all of its limbs off at once and went for the...

Jaune's eyes light up with an idea and he turns to face his team. Behind him, the Grimm gets up.

Jaune: Guys, I got it! We hit it harder!

Ren: (confused) Is that it?

Jaune: No, seriously. It's trying to keep us from its face. If we kill the limbs, we'll have a shot to kill the whole thing!

Ruby: Alright! Come on, team, let's do this.

Nora: Yeah!

Ren: Right!

Jaune: Ren, left. Ruby, right.

Ren and Ruby depart as told.

Jaune: Nora, ready to try out the new upgrade?

Nora nods and runs.

Jaune: Right. And I will—

Y/n: Run for your life.

Jaune gets hit in the back by the Grimm.

Ruby attacks the right side. Ren attacks the left.

Nora activates a mechanism that generates a current of electricity across the hammerhead of Magnhild. Jaune runs around to make himself a target, waving at the Grimm.

Jaune: Hey, over here!

The Grimm goes after Jaune but switches targets as Ruby and Ren attack it.

Nora charges Magnhild even more and braces her feet.

Nora: Ready!

Ruby lands next to Jaune after another attack.

Jaune: Use everything you've got!

Ruby uses her Semblance to fly at the Grimm, taking Nora with her, and the red and pink swirls go right for the tree arm. Ruby slices the tree in half, opening the way for Nora to hit the mask with Magnhild. The rock body shatters, and the ephemeral Grimm rises out of it and flies off.

Y/n: I got it!

I line up a shot using a little assistance from V.A.T.S. and fired a shot, which became two.

Y/n: Here comes the sun doo doo doo do.

The Grimm was vaporized, and a tree was blown up.

Y/n: Like I said, Nuke on my back.

Jaune: (breathing heavily) Another victory for Team JNRR!

Silence.

Jaune: (deflating) Yeah, okay. Ren, I think you're onto something. I-it's just not sounding great anymore.

Nora: Thought you weren't gonna help.

I drop down and walk up to them.

Y/n: It was running, and besides, you won.

Ruby: Yeah, but you stole my kill.

Y/n: Yeah, I did.

Location change Schnee Manor

There was a knock on the door of Weiss's room. Sentinel stood at attention, readying its weapon.

Weiss: Stand down sentinel. Yes?

The door opened, and the butler Klein entered.

Klein: Pardon the interruption, Ms. Schnee, but your father wishes to speak to you.

Y/n: (Sentinel) Your father. He's just a straight pompous asshole who cares more about money than his own family. He cares more about the "company image" more so than anything. If I get a chance to meet him, I am going to punch him cause family is always important, and he threw away that and cared for the company he married into more than that.

Weiss: Thank you, Klein.

Klein: Was that?

Weiss: Y/n's voice, yes. I learned that after the initial voice message, key words or phrases would play a message. It only started playing after the first one, of course. Sentinel stay.

Location change forest of anima Y/n pov

(Everything stayed the same pretty much for the rest of Weiss side most of the time Sentinel is going to be in her room standing guard)

I was taking the last watch, keeping an eye out for Grimm when I saw Ruby wake up with a startled look before putting a hand to her head. I head over to her and check on her.

Y/n: Everything okay?

Ruby: Oh, uh yeah, just a nightmare.

Y/n: About what?

Ruby: Oh, uh, just scary clowns from that one movie Lisa wanted us to watch together.

Y/n: That was five years ago. What really was it?

Ruby: (defeated) sigh... You, dieing that night?

Y/n: Oh, I uh get nightmares about that night, too. But it just makes me want to beat her even more. I got too relaxed with how things were going back a Beacon. I never really got to properly train myself, and I have been doing that now with all kinds of powers and weapons. But yeah, I won't be dying on you anytime soon.

We have been following the path for at least an hour or two with Ruby holding the map.

Ruby: We're lost.

Jaune: We're not lost. The next town is Shion. My family used to visit it all the time.

Ruby: Oh yeah. Don't you have, like, four sisters?

Jaune: Uh, seven.

Ruby giggles.

Nora: You know, that actually explains a lot.

Jaune: Wait, what do you mean?

Ruby: So, what did you guys do there?

Jaune gets next to Ruby.

Jaune: Oh, all sorts of stuff!

Nora: So why haven't you used your semblance and conjure up a ride for us.

Y/n: Again, the kingdom would most likely assume we're hostile and shoot us down. I don't have any kind of invisible plane or helicopter I can pull out of nowhere it has to be from a game I've played.

Nora: Then why not a car or something when everyone is tired of walking.

Y/n: I would if we were farther away from the... village...

I saw the village in the distance burned and destroyed.

Nora: Uh guys...

Jaune: What?

They drop the map as they run in. I grab said map and follow them.

Ruby: There could be survivors.

Ren was walking and then running towards a direction.

Ren: Over here!

We followed him and found a wounded huntsman leaning against some debris.

Ruby: A huntsman.

Y/n: Stimpack.

A stimpack spawns in hand. I walk over to him, ready to inject it into his leg.

Jaune: What happened? Who killed all these people?

Huntsman: Bandits... the whole tribe... then with all the panic...

I inject the stimpack and let it do its thing.

Ren: Grimm.

Huntsman: I feel better. What was that?

Y/n: Something from my semblance. Though you should still see a doctor head down that path to the village we came from, you should be fine. we didn't run into anything that way. We should go now it's not safe here.

Ruby: Right.

Jaune: That was kind of you, Y/n.
