Team's identity Revealed Part 4
Wes' POV
Jen and I arrive at Bio Lab. Dad and Eric sprint up to us when I take Tracy out of the car. Jen wrapped her up in my jacket since she started to shiver and used the ice packs from the first aid kit. She put one on her forehead and the other around her neck to bring Tracy's fever down as it began to spike once we entered Silver hills.
"Wes, what happened to this poor young woman," Dad says.
"A better question, Why didn't you take her to the hospital," Eric adds.
Tracy comes to long enough to reveal her dino gem to my father and say, "Mesogog, modified ant," before she faints.
"Wes, let get her to the medical bay," Dad says.
"I'll meet you inside; I have to make a few phone calls first," I say.
"Alright, son," Dad says as he takes Tracy out of my arms.
I took my phone out of my pocket and dialed Christi's number. I try my best to refrain from pacing back and forth in the parking lot while I wait for her to pick up.
"Wes, what's wrong?" Christi asks.
"Tracy, got bit by an ant Mesogog modified," I reply.
"Is she alright," Christi asks.
"My father took her to the medical bay at BioLab," I say.
"Please call me once you know anything about my daughter's condition," Christi says.
"Of course," I say.
"Thank you for calling. I need to get back to work my break is almost over," Christi says before hanging up.
I dialed Dr. Calhoun's office as well to tell the doctor about what happened to Tracy. I made one more call before heading inside. I dial the number and hope that the medial center in Mariner Bay isn't too bust today.
Dana's POV
I finished up doing a check-up for a three-year-old Evelyn (Eila). I gave her a sticker since she was brave and didn't cry since she didn't cry after I gave her yearly shots. Her mother, Rebecca leave the exam room. I take off my gloves, throw them away and wash my hands. It wasn't too busy today, which was okay since I'm a little stressed out planning a special dinner for Carter and me on Saturday. My break is about to start, as I start to leave, the phone rings.
"Dr. Mitchel, how can I help you?" I say.
"Dana, it's Wes," Wes says.
"What's wrong Wes," I ask.
"Two of Tommy's Rangers, Tracy, and Mike got bit by an ant that Mesogog modified. Mike needs your help he as at their lab. When Jen and I got to Biolab, Tracy's condition dropped up quickly, and I'm afraid that Mike could be in the same state. So, if the clinic isn't busy, could you go to Tommy's house to check on him. I know Tracy would appreciate it since she couldn't focus on anything else but his condition," Wes says.
"I take that Tracy and Mike are either a couple, or she just really cares about him," I say.
"They're dating," Wes says.
"Sure, I can help. We are slow today. I can have another doctor cover the rest of my shift," I say.
"Thank you, if you can, could you bring some supplies with you. I'll text you Tommy's address," Wes says.
I hang up, gather up my things, and lock the door behind me as I leave the room. I walk up to the reception desk as Scarlet comes up as well.
"What's wrong, Dr. Mitchell? Where are you taking those supplies," Scarlet asks?
"My cousin Mike was suddenly rushed to the hospital, and it's low on supplies, so I'm taking some of ours there," I lie.
"Just go, I'll cover your shift," Scarlet says.
I punch out and head out to my car. I put the box of supplies on the passenger's seat; I checked my phone to check my texts to get Tommy's address. I put the address in my GPS then started my drive to Reefside.
Wes's POV
I'm about to head inside; just as I see Dr. Calhoun pull into the parking lot, He parks his car in the closest space he can. Dr. Calhoun walks up to me.
"Dr. Calhoun, what are you doing here?" I ask.
"I'm not sure; I just had a feeling that this is where I needed to be," Dr. Calhoun says.
When Dr. Calhoun and I get to the medical bay, the doctor walks out of the room. He has a serious look on his face.
"How is she doing, Doctor?" Jen asks.
"She is stable, but to help Tracy breathe when her airway began to close, we had to incubate her. I asked my assistant to bring more ice to bring her fever down," the doctor replies.
"Any luck making the antidote?" Eric asks.
"not yet; I've sent a sample of her blood to the lab," The doctor says.
"Dr. Calhoun, what about Tracy's surgery tomorrow?" I ask.
"For now, let focus on the current situation," Dr. Calhoun says.
"Vocal nodule surgery isn't that extensive, is it?" Dad asks.
"No, but we don't know how much energy Tracy's body used to fight off the poison. I take my patient's safety and overall health very seriously." Dr. Calhoun says.
Normal POV
Circuit is perched outside on the roof, helping with surveillance; he alerts Hayley when he sees Dana pull up.
"Everyone keep an eye on Mike while I go see who our new guest is," Hayley says after the video footage plays on the main scene in the lab.
The group nods, and Hayley gets up from the chair then leaves the lab. She walks outside just as Tommy and Miss May pull in as well.
"Relax, Hayley; Wes texted me to tell me that he contacted Dr. Mitchell. She is here to help us," Tommy says.
"Thank you for coming," Hayley says.
"You're welcome, so where is my patient," Dana says.
Tommy leads Miss May and Dana to the lab. After Tommy explains to the others that Wes called Dana and asked her to help us. They kept their distance and allowed Dana to work. After ten minutes, Dana walks over to the group.
"Is Mike going to be okay?" Conner asks.
"Yes, but we need to keep his fever down until we get the antidote for the poison," Dana says.
"Isn't having a fever a good thing?" Conner asks.
"Yes and No. It's good because a fever is a sign that the immune system is working as it should, but if Mike's fever gets too high, his organs will start to shut down," Dana says.
Then Circuit flies in. He lands on his perch and displays a video for the team.
"Hello, rangers, if you want this to help the Green and Pink Ranger, come to the woods outside of town and give your dino gems," the monster says as it taunts the team waving the vile back and forth before the clip ends.
"You are aware that all Mesogog is doing is send you into a trap, right?" Dana asks.
"Yes, Dr. Mitchell, but what choice do we have? Just wait and hope that Tracy and Mike will be able to fight off the poison on their own," Kira says.
"No, Kira, all you need to do is hold off the monster long enough to but the scientist at Biolab the time they need to make an antidote themselves," Eric says as he walks in.
